Lillian was so amazing to work with!! My wedding dress didn’t fit quite right after several attempts with another tailor and Lillian had it fixed up in a matter of hours! So happy with my dress and the kindness and efficiency of Lillian!

I needed a bridesmaid dress altered in a very short amount of time. Lillian had me come in the same day that I called and had my dress ready in a record amount of time. She is precise and is an expert at what she does. Her work on my dress was incredible considering the amount of work that had to go into it. Highly recommend By Design for any alteration work.

I bought my wedding gown and I thought it would fit. When it arrived it was big. Ms. Lilian came to the rescue. She also customized my veil which I absolutely loved. She makes you feel at ease throughout the entire experience. Highly recommend her!

I would go here with any of my articles of clothing. Lillian was so nice and fast. I brought a bridesmaid dress in that needed quite a bit of altering, but she tackled it so well. I would recommend her for any project!

It's high time I review this business. Lillian has literally hand-tailored two of my sisters wedding dresses and my own wedding dress. (I bought my dress ten months before my wedding day, turns out I was expecting! Lillian got my into my post-partum dream dress with some extremely clever work!) She has also tailored my husbands dress pants, three of my mother's formal gowns, and almost every single bridesmaid's dress that has come into my family. Her work is incredible, her attitude is cool and professional, visiting her location leaves you feeling fancy and fairytale like. I cannot express how much we love By Design. Now that I live in Seattle, and many of my sisters also live clear across the country, I would not be surprised if we took a trip to Alton for the next formal event we needed help with. Her short notice policy has saved my butt (and covered it) too many times! Leaving photos of my -amazing- wedding dress below, there's no way it was ever going to be on my body before By Design came to the rescue.

I had my dress alterations done here within a short amount of time and Lillian was very sweet! You can actually have custom couture done here which is pretty cool! Would recommend to anyone looking for alterations, she will set you straight.

Ordered cashmere sweater from shop carrying unisex sizes. By the time I got size to fit bust the rest of the sweater was huge. Took to Lillian By Design for alterations and couldn't by happier with the result. Absolutely the best ever. Highly recommend.

Lillian and Rhiannon were so amazing to work with. This boutique was highly recommended by quite a few people. Initially I didn't know what to expect, but these ladies immediately saw what I didn't see in my wedding dress that I was already in love with. Everytime I came in for appointments, I was greeted by two smiling faces and great music. Through all of the ups and downs of wedding planning, this was one of my favorite parts. I fell more in love with my dress every time I tried it on. By Design is amazing!
