This should be your first stop if you are on the look out for washer/dryer , refrigerators -heck any appliances. We purchased a mattress from their huge selection. Thank you JESSIE , she was knowledgeable, caring and protective of our time. She is the best.

We were getting ready to close on a home, & needed a new recliner, stove & mattress. Then we realized there will be times we can't get across the river due to flooding, drought, and below freezing temperatures, so we'd better purchase a freezer as well.I walked into the store, and was greeted by Ernie Nicholas right away. I explained the reason I was there, & that I just wanted to see what was on the showroom floor because my honey isn't too keen on playing Goldilocks. I needed to find a couple recliners and a couple mattresses that I knew he would like so he could go right up to them & decide which he liked better.I told Ernie I used to be a design consultant for a couple of furniture companies, and to PLEASE greet & take care of other guests, because I wasn't going to make any purchases that day. After about a ½ hour of jumping from one piece of furniture to another, doing the whole "this one is toooo hard!", "this one is toooo soft!", &... well, I'm sure you get the gist of it.When I was done, I looked Ernie up and asked for his business card as well as his work schedule - and I thanked him for allowing me to do the whole thing my way & not shadow me or bug me every 5 minutes. I also asked him if he would be willing to cut me any sort of break if I were to come in & just slap some cash on the table - and he assured me that he would.In the meantime, I found a recliner for hubby elsewhere - but I took him into the store, introduced him to Ernie, and we went about the truncated version of "the Goldilocks business".Once we made our decisions, we went to Ernie to sit down together & crunch some numbers.Suffice it to say that we really liked the way it all shook out.Ernie told us it would take approximately 4 weeks for our Justice mattress to be constructed, which we were fine with. It was slightly less than 4 weeks, actually, but you won't hear US complaining.We are VERY pleased with the mattress, stove, and chest freezer - and the delivery guys, too! They even hauled away the existing mattress and stove!About a week later, we got a call from the store to check in & make sure we were 100% satisfied. I was pretty impressed!If you're undecided as to where to go for appliances &/or furniture, I HIGHLY recommend you give Alton Refrigeration & Home Furnishings a try. If you're truly, honestly, disappointed, I will eat my hat!

Bought an expensive dishwasher from a big box store, and it broke after 18 months. Trying to get it fixed was a giant headache to the point where we decided that we wanted to just get a new one. Stumbled upon alton refrigeration, and I'm really glad we did. We bought a new dishwasher from them, and the install and buying process was seemless, easy, and fast. Wayne was awesome on the installation, and the employee I spoke with on the phone was incredibly friendly. Will definitely be coming back the next time we need an appliance.

My washer and dryer needed replaced, on a whim I went in to see what they had and they had a great selection at reasonable prices. Also, 5 stars to Paula and their serviceman who delivered in a 1.5 days and my household was back in business. We do lots of laundry! Thank you. I just ordered some more things and hoping for the great level of service again. Their service people were so friendly quick and helpful making sure everything worked. These days that is worth a lot!

I've been dealing with an appliance kit issue with Home Depot for 2 years. Faulty item, they replace, wrong part, they send me to an 800 number. Today I walked into Alton Refrigeration, told Gary I was sorry I didn't use them in the first purchase of the appliance and showed him my problem. He took me to the back room, found the kit in a box, cut it open and "GAVE" me the parts I needed that were not included in the delivery from Home Depot. I can't say enough good things about these guys. I will NEVER buy from the box stores again. So sorry Alton Refrigeration, but THANKS, THANKS THANKS FOR YOUR WONDERFUL SERVICE.

I’m in the market for a new couch, and decided to check out this place as it is local. I should’ve known not to waste my time but unfortunately since none of the prices for furniture are posted online I took the chance and went in. The prices for furniture are much higher than anywhere I’ve ever looked, and that’s during their “clearance”. Mainly I think there needs to be transparency in pricing so others don’t waste their time at a place with a small selection and way too expensive compared to other stores.

We were looking for a refrigerator. We texted with Jessie and she recommended a few in stock for us to look at. We went to the store late on Friday afternoon to make our decision. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had the refrigerator delivered the following Monday. We definitely would go back to Alton Refrigeration for future purchases.
