DO NOT BUY any spas or pools from here. Their service is terrible. I originally had a leak in my spa and they had to replace the whole thing. I waited 2 months for a replacement. After hounding them they finally set up delivery and when the delivery men got there they could deliver it because they never sent service out to unhook it. It then took another 10 days. NOW I have my hot tub (new/replacement)..it did not come with speakers as promised and now, there is a leak in a part where you control the jets. They were supposed to come today but ordered the WRONG PART. It is going to be another 10 days. PLEASE TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. Their service dept. is very unorganized and when you are purchasing a big item like this you need a good service dept.

The Great Escape in Algonquin, IL is a one-stop shop for anything you need for outdoor and indoor entertainment. We have found their prices to be competitive and quality of merchandise to be top-notch, better than the lumber yard box stores up and down Randall Road. We recently purchased a new patio umbrella, our color selection did not go according to plan. Great Escape was more than happy to exchange it for us. They have wonderful staff on hand to answer questions and help with your purchases.

Buying patio furniture should not have to feel like buying a car at the dealership. Why post a clearance sign with a price on a patio furniture set, and then tell me that it’s not for that set? It doesn’t make any sense to me at all? Why not be transparent and tell the customer how much it truly is? It’s disappointing.

I. Recently purchased a filter for my pool at the Algonquin location. It was Tige wrong size for the filter and. I fought it back to the store. Te manager there Was extremely rood and dismissive. I didn’t have my receipt in, but I did have the account from my credit card that showed that I purchased it at that location. He refused to either give me a store credit or take the product back because he said that he saw a small leaf that had fallen into it when I was bringing it back to the store he told me that he would not do anything more for me and that he told me that I just had to eat it. It was clearly not uses and was in the original packaging. I will never be back.

I go for pool supplies for our above ground pool. They have a big selection and the prices are very fair. You would think they would be a lot higher than online or someplace like Me arcs, but they are not. And something that is hard to find nowadays.....the employees are friendly and helpful.

Barry was phenomenal helping us with purchasing a hot tub. He was not pushy and acted with a consultant mindset vs a sales mindset. He took the time to answer our silly questions and had patience. It’s because of Barry’s approach that we decided to come back and purchase from here and spend more money vs buying a less expensive model we loved at their competitors. Keep up with sales people like Barry and that will keep us coming back!

Since buying my first hot tub from The Great Escape in 2005, the service department, although actually only used twice, has been easy to contact and accommodating. I have bought chemicals, etc. mostly from the Algonquin store. Last week, I decided, primarily because of the conversation I had with Tony, to upgrade. My hot tub is still working at 90% of its original glory(Jaccuzi J345)We settled on the newest version of this classic tub.Can’t to relax in the winter evenings, and keep it all going!Thanks guys

****Update*** I’m currently working with TGE on making it right....UPDATE They have made me whole and I appreciate them working to make it right!!****Brand new $15000.00 Wellis hot tub. Was delivered with leak, missing items. They came out and fixed the leak. 8 months later the hot tub as another leak! After reading a few reviews, it seems that the quality of product they sell is less than satisfactory.

Really excellent experience purchasing outdoor furniture for our new deck. The salesperson was very knowledgeable. He carefully understood our needs and was patient in showing us options based on our design tastes. The delivery experience was excellent as well.
