I would not recommend enrolling your child here. Ruthann was the main selling point in our decision to enroll our child at this center. However, we found out that the preschool teacher, Tina J. was accused of mistreating children including mine and the preschool co teacher confirmed this information in front of the owner and center director in a meeting that we had. She confirmed witnessing Tina telling the children that they were crying like babies and many other horrible things that no child should hear from someone that is PAID to care for them. She should not be around children in any capacity! We felt her actions were swept under the rug which prompted us to pull our child out of the center immediately. We were not allowed to have a follow up conversation with the co teacher that confirmed all of this information, but all of a sudden the co teacher back tracked on what she told us which I feel she was afraid to lose her job. I am not sure IF she actually recanted her story, but that’s what we were told.

I cannot recommend Primrose School in Algonquin highly enough! My husband and I interviewed several daycares in the area while I was still pregnant and the second we stepped into this facility I immediately felt at ease. The whole staff is wonderful to work with! They eased my worries the first day my son was with them at 12 weeks old, and they’ve been there to answer every question/concern we’ve had since then. All of the teachers that have worked with my son have been nothing short of amazing. It’s clear that my son is genuinely cared for by everyone he interacts with at the school and I can go about my day knowing I don’t need to worry about him while he’s there. The facility is clean, safe, and full of toys, etc. that helps the children learn and grow. The activities they do with the children are all the same. The app/other communications are easy to use and keep us up to date on everything we need to know. I just wish our circumstances weren’t taking us away from this beautiful daycare and all of the people that have cared for my son so well.

My husband and I were looking for reliable daycare. After 8 years, we found more than just childcare. The team at Primrose of Algonquin welcomed my son and our family with open arms. My then 4 year old was amazed as we entered the classroom to see all the kids enjoying the games and activities available. He felt very comfortable in his new setting right away and I knew we found the right place. The staff is very friendly and caring. The facility is kept immaculate. My son would race in to get the breakfast that was prepared each day, where they would practice life skills. The summer field trips were very educational and of course, fun. Even with the current pandemic, they brought in fun groups to engage in activities with the kids. They provide parents with pictures and videos of activities the children experience. It was always great sharing at the end of the day with my son all the fun he had. My son spent his last summer at Primrose, as he is now 12. We could not have had better memories as he developed. I wanted to share this with any family who may be searching that this will be the right place for you.

We've only been sending our son for a couple months but we LOVE Primrose. We never second guess our decision to send him here over the other daycares we saw. They are so caring and very good at communicating classroom happenings. He's always happy when he arrives and gets picked up. And with current protocols for Covid we are confident that they are keeping the facility as safe as possible.

Out twins attended Primrose for almost 3 years and we have nothing but great things to say. Due to Covid their Pre-K year was unfortunately cut short but my kids still ask and talk about all their teachers and staff from primrose. We are very grateful for the experience they both had here and it has helped them adapt and stay on track with all e learning so far this year with kindergarten.

Ruthann makes this place comforting and welcoming! Aside from her special touch, the staff is a perfect addition with their warm caring and inviting attitudes and attention to detail.

Both my grand-daughters are at this school. Everyone is awesome...the girls love their teachers and that is important. Their mom, my daughter shares my sentiments...I would recommend this school.

My experience at Primrose was horrible. I had my two children enrolled in this school and had no choice but to pull them out. The one good thing I can say is that my daughter and sons had great teachers. My problem lies in how the school was run. The director of this school has absolutely no idea what she is doing. She will always say "I will get back to you on that" but never does. You can ask her multiple times and she will always follow up your questions with excuses. It was not a good environment for my children to be a part of. I would NEVER recommend this school to ANYONE. Please reconsider if you are enrolled, or are thinking about enrolling. It is completely over priced considering how chaotic the school is. If I can give any piece of advice to this school--hire a new director.

Primrose School in Algonquin is by far the best School that I have found for my children. I am very please with their level of teaching and care of my 3 and 4 year old children. The teachers and staff at this school are 5 star in my book. I have never felt safer dropping of my children in the morning that I have with Primrose. There is not one person at this school that I would change. The Primrose School curriculum has given my children the best head start on learning and is preparing them to succeed in school.I have recommend this school to anyone who I know has Pre-K children. The last words that I would leave you with about Primroce is that the children always come first.

Bringing our son to Primrose was without a doubt, the best decision my wife and I made when we decided our son's previous care provider was no longer the best choice. Our son has been at Primrose for the past 6 months and the results are remarkable. Attitude it great, life skills are ahead of the curve and the knowledge he has gained is superior. Primrose is not only a structured environment but they have weekly lesson plans that outline the knowledge, skills or tasks for the week. Having had our son at one of the top nationally recognized day care providers, Primrose is at the top of their game. Now let’s talk about the staff. The proprietors, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel's, not only know how to run a business, but both have a long extensive background in childcare. Both always greet you when you arrive and inquire if your needs are being met. They always are interested in you and always stop to give you the time of day. Then there is Ruthann Dalzell, Director. This wonderful woman not only greets with you a smile, but is personable and is quick to resolve any issues you may have. Her background in child care totals over 20 years of experience and she was a director at another business before her tenure at Primrose. Ruthann is helpful, warm and will always answer you needs.Wait, I have more… Ruthann's Assistant Directors, Kim Butler and Sara Vayo are top notch and bring a combined 30 plus years of experience and service in the child care field. I'm not sure if it’s what Primrose demands from their staff but Kim and Sara are caring, attentive, educated and always have an answer to your question. They definitely care about you as a person and the needs of every family that attends Primrose.Lastly, we love our son's teacher and that she cares for the children as one of her own. Her craft for growing young children shows not only when I drop off/pickup my son, but in what I discover from his daily activities. In summary, I could go on and on with the wonderful critique of Primrose and their staff, but I think you get the ideaScott FrostProud Parent and Customer

Our 19-month old daughter has been attending the Primrose School of Algonquin for almost a year now and we continue to be impressed by the uncompromising excellence of all facets of the school. From the teachers, to the chef to the Directors and owners we've received nothing but the best service. As all new parents are, we were a little nervous to begin the daycare process. All of those fears were put aside during our first visit to Primrose. There we met with the wonderful Director, Ruthann. To date we have never met someone with such warmth and care. Even after the school has grown considerably and despite I'm sure having plenty of other responsibilities, she makes time to spend with each child and is involved in their growth and development. In addition, whenever we have a question or request anything big or small, Ruthann is extremely responsive and understanding. She was the main reason we decided to entrust Primrose with our baby.Beyond Ruthann, what keeps us coming back is the wonderful teachers and staff! Each and every teacher our daughter has been with has made a lasting impression. Our daughter will be moving to her third class (Toddlers) shortly, graduating from the Infant and Young Toddler rooms. Each time a move is hard since our daughter loves each and every teacher.Mrs. Lambert and Mrs. Wajda in the infant room were fantastic! Our daughter gets a little separation anxiety as most kids do at a young age, but Mrs. Lambert knew exactly how to make her feel comfortable. To the point where she didn't want to leave when we come pick her up. Mrs. Lambert still makes an effort to visit with our daughter outside her normal class schedule. In her current class (Young Toddlers), Mrs. Naumann, Mrs. Potter and Ms. Hintz are amazing teachers! They take such great care of our daughter. They take the time to walk us through her day every day and let us know of any milestones or key activities.I also can't say enough about the Asst. Director Mrs. Vayo, curriculum director Mrs. Butler and owners the Daniel's! I'm sure I've left plenty other folks out. Kudos to the Daniel's for assembling such a wonderful team.Primrose maintains a safe, clean and nurturing facility combining the best in caregiving with a proven academic curriculum. My wife and I are excited to pick up our daughter each day to see what new art project she has done, words/sign language she has learned. Primrose provides a daily report card that makes us feel like we were a part of her day.We can't imagine taking our daughter or future kids anywhere else. We highly recommend and endorse the Primrose School of Algonquin. Primrose has become an extension of our family and we are proud to be a part of theirs.Sincerely,The Jarosinski Family
