I rented a vehicle from the Algonquin Enterprise location. I was charged for over $26 in tolls that were incurred on I90 and I88. My rental vehicle was NEVER driven on these tollways. Enterprise either has the wrong transponder registered to the vehicle I rented or attached the tolls the wrong account. Enterprise customer service has been very unhelpful in resolving this issue. The vehicle was rented through State Farm. I will make sure State Farm is aware of the poor service from Enterprise.

booked a car over a month in advance, showed up to get the car and was told there is no car for me. also was told they screwed over 42 other people no cars for them either. then left a review here, they said send a message to a supplied email, I send the message, and then no response. terrible service 0/10 at least I didn't have to pay in advance. recommend to use literally any other rental company

They gave me a car with UNPAID TOLLS and it has been an absolute headache to deal with. The representitive that rented out the car to me told me that I could easily register the car's license plate to my personal iPass account or I could pay a fee for theirs so obviously I choose to just use my own. First mistake was she failed to mention that when registering a rental car there is an option to register it as a "rental car" with a start date and end date. Should I have known this? Probably. Would it have been helpful for them to make that clear? Absolutely. But why are they renting out cars with outstanding balances on tolls in the first place??? So unlucky for me my account got charged with numerous tolls of before I even had the rental. And on top of that they sent me a citation once I was done of one unpaid toll even though I had the transponder in the rental car and the rental cars license plate registered at that exact time. How? Make it make sense. If I want my money back I need to go through the long process of sending an affidavit to the Illinois tollway. I will certainly not be using enterprise again. Hopefully this review can help people in the future when dealing with tolls and rental cars.

We had several wonderful experiences at the Enterprise in Algonquin, IL. The manager and all the crew there were so easy to work with, and extremely accommodating. We needed a vehicle the next day to get to a Wake/Funeral in Pittsburgh. The manager mentioned she didn't have a vehicle available on the lot, but she managed to locate a vehicle the next morning so we could drive out for the services. We needed a Van during Spring Break, which are difficult to come by. The Manager was able to find us a van, and gave us a great deal for the week. We had a flat tire coming back from vacation, and Enterprise took such good care of us! I don't hesitate calling on Enterprise for when we need a rental, but specifically this particular crew in Algonquin. Thanks!

I have to give them 5 stars just for customer service. I needed a rental when my car was damaged by a raccoon in the road. The rental was easily coordinated through my insurance. Enterprise called me that morning to confirm the rental. The young man that picked me up from the collision center was very kind and professional. Upon arrival to Enterprise, all of the staff was amazingly helpful. Multiple employees confirmed whether I had been helped or needed anything else, including offering to share their cookies while I waited (which was only a few minutes). Super friendly. The only negative is that the car smelled like cigarettes, which they did apologize for multiple times. I don’t blame the employees for that, people know not to smoke in rentals! Overall, I would definitely rent from them again if I needed a vehicle in the area. Above and beyond for customer service.

I will never use enterprise ever again. Boyfriend got into an accident so we needed a rental car. Went here and everything was smooth sailing until we got bills in the mail saying we didn’t pay for a single toll on 10/21 (even though the car was on my pay by plate and got confirmation it was). Enterprise ended up sending the letters 14 days AFTER you’re able to look to see if they were paid. We ended up getting another letter in the mail a day later saying they charged our card even though we had just got the bill in the mail. Called enterprise and they were absolutely no help. Fast forward to today (12/13) we got ANOTHER letter in the mail for 10/21 saying they charged our card AGAIN for another toll I know we paid for. Absolutely the worst.

I have used this place a couple times over the last year. Each time, the staff has been super helpful and kind. They went the extra mile to make sure I had a good rental experience. The vehicles I rented did the job and matched with the criteria I was looking for. I'll rent from here again in the future. Overall: great people, decent vehicles, positive experience.

Can't keep their end of the bargain ever, never ready, I lost a shift of work thanks to you guys not doing your jobs.I was told I was going to receive a car at 8 am Wednesday October 11th. That time rolls around, they have no vehicle to give me, and tell me they will have a vehicle that evening. That evening rolls around, and we're completely ghosted. We call them. They have no vehicle. Again. So the next morning (Thurs, Oct. 12th) comes, and they have no vehicle ONCE AGAIN. So I've been told different stories three different times. Reminder, i have LOST a shift of work due to enterprises negligence. This is supposed to be going through insurance, but at this point enterprise has proven to be so unreliable EVERY SINGLE TIME a car was needed. I feel as if I'm being punished for being in an accident that I had no fault in.

I unfortunately re-enacted the rental car bit from Seinfeld this morning. I had a reservation for a rental car so I could get my own car repaired. Enterprise called me last night to confirm my reservation, and promised to call me before EOD if something went wrong and they did not have any cars. I thought this was strange, but I did not get a call so I did not worry. As I was driving to the repair shop this morning, I got a phone call from Enterprise that they do not have any cars for me. I asked if they could help me get a car from a different branch, and the staff hung up on me. What is the purpose of a reservation if it does not reserve a car? I am venting here more than anything, but wanted to share my experience so others can look into more reliable options in the area.

Eleysa, Assistant Branch Rental Manager greeted me when I arrived, provide a top-notch customer service and did it all with a smile. The facility was neat and organized. The car I was offered was clean inside and it just been freshly washed. All of this is why I gave her and this location a 5 star rating.

I recently had a great experience renting a car from Enterprise. The staff, Sabian and Eleysa, at the Algonquin location were friendly and efficient. The rental process was smooth. The car I rented was clean and well-maintained. Return was equally hassle-free. Overall, a reliable and customer-friendly location.
