My overall experience with this facility is positive. They saved me a lot of money from unnecessary repairs. I just wish that they wouldn’t have left my steering wheel all greasy and dirty when I picked my car up but other than that I give them five.

I truly cannot express how incredibly helpful, kind, and generous John and his team were with me today. They answered every single question I had, were very honest with me, and even gave me hugely helpful advice on what types of car I should and should not be looking for. I live in the city and happened upon the shop because I was looking for used cars at the many dealerships around Addison, but I will be coming out of my way to bring any future car out to this garage.
As a single gal shopping alone for cars, I have been jerked around plenty in the past. These are the best mechanics I have ever dealt with.
If you are shopping for a used car, please, please bring it to Hi-Tech and they will tell you the truth. (Bonus points, they are also big animal lovers and very stand-up people.)

John and his team are the BEST mechanics and repair shop you will find! I have been a customer for years and Hi-Tech always does a good and honest job at a great price! I would recommend them to everyone. John goes above and beyond for his customers, his customer service is outstanding!

John and his shop are amazing. They have gotten me out of several pickles. John is an expert in his field, he is honest to his core, and he gave me downright the best price for the best service any where. I've gotten body work, headlight replacement, brakes and rotors replaced, transmission and coolant fluid flushed, and so much more done at his shop. I hope I never have to go anywhere else!

So where do I start? My son had a tow truck come a get his car cause it would not start. They took the car to this shop. My son being only 21 years of age, he doesn’t really know how things go with cars service an all. So as his mother and a person who deals with getting my cars serviced I decide to call the shop HI-tech where the car was located. As I’m asking questions I’m on the phone with a guy name John who was very rude btw. I’m asking for pricing a total balance,an he’s giving me attitude from the beginning. I feel as because he could hear my ethnicity/race through the phone as IM AFRICAN AMERICAN. So as he being rude I’m asking him the price he says $1018. Now my son had brought the part a just needed it put on. It was an alternator. So I ask why would it be so much if we supply the part. He get even rudder an ask me how was he supposed to know that? Then say $649 so I’m like it still will be almost $700 an he says call another mechanic to see how much they charge he match the price, so I did that they told me $295 if I had the part since it’s only a hr job. So I call John back a tell him what I was professionally quoted an he goes on to say no he can’t match that,an how he never said he would. Me an my son was like woowww. Just completely rude for no reason. So I decided not to have my son’s car service there. This guy is bluntly rude an has a since so self entitlement. I would not go to this shop or refer anyone I know to a place that has employees like this. His rudeness made them loose what could have been a loyal customer.

John and the folks at Hi Tech are the best! I have taken multiple cars to John over the last 20 years - both foreign and domestic. He and his folks are honest, trustworthy, friendly, and explain the issue(s) thoroughly and explain what services are a priority if there are multiple issues. They know cars! His prices are very reasonable and keeps our cars running smoothly and safely for our family. They have integrity and take great pride in their work and provide excellent service. I highly recommend John and the folks at Hi Tech

Been bringing my cars here since I can drive my family and I have spent thousands through out the years on parts and labor at high tech ....but the last several years things changed the owner is a jerk ...hangs up on you for asking questions....and doesn't honor his work...I had my timing belt done for 2200 dollars and 10 months later broke again!!! I had proof I was on time with oil changes and he still wouldn't honor the labor or the parts....took my car else where and confirmed by another mechanic that high tech should've honored the warranty because it was not from lack oil......John Hicky is a rude person and I wouldn't recommend him at all

Hi-Tech Auto was excellent. We were there for a pre-purchase check over of a used car. They were quick, professional, thorough, and very helpful. If I lived around there, I would definitely go back.

Had a used car inspection done by these guys. John was very helpful and straightforward going above and beyond to help us out. Saved us from buying a truck from a sketchy dealership after they tried to cover up a brake issue.
