This 7-Eleven/Mobil location has currently lost a customer for the time being after the experience I had with their weird gas pump machine design too many times .It used to be my favorite place to stop for gas and to get a snack, but at some point, they updated their gas pump machine software. This software update made it where you can only use a debit card at the gas pump machine and have to use credit cards inside the 7-Eleven store. I know that it's not the end of the world to walk a couple of feet, but when you're tired after a long work day, you can forget things. There were a few times I forgot that I had to go inside to pay for gas with a credit card first before using the gas pump machine. However, this last time it, happened, is the reason I am writing this review ?♂️.I went to get gas, and the gas pump machine wouldn't work with my credit card, so I canceled the transaction and went inside the 7-Eleven store. Because I went to the gas pump machine first, it got stuck on this screen, saying, "Please see cashier." After paying in the 7-Eleven store, they set up pre pay gas to the gas pump machine. I went back to my car to fill up the gas tank, and the screen was still showing the same. "Please see cashier."For a few more moments. Then, the pre payed transaction showed up. So I started to get the gas pump handle and fill my cars gas tank. But then, the gas pump machine glitched or something and took away away the pre pay before any gas was even pumped. I went to tell the employees what happened and then one of them came out to tell me, "You paid already, and put the gas in your car, what's going on?" I told them how the gas pump machine glitched or something and took my pre pay away, and they said," Its right here on the screen. You put that in your car." The thing they were pointing at was the previous persons transaction. Then the screen changed again to say,"Transaction Canceled." The employee then said to me to just go to another gas pump machine and that they would put new money on that other gas pump machine. I did that, and everything worked out in the end. After spending much more time getting gas than I needed...?I really do appreciate the employee helping me out, but I don't appreciate the initial way they were trying to handle the situation. I also have voiced to this 7-Eleven store numerous times about their gas pump machines having this credit card issue, and the employees always shrug off the question and say "Their gonna fix it." But nothing happens. Whether their is an actual issue with their gas pump machines or the 7-Eleven store purposely has this programmed into their gas pump machines, I don't know ?♂️.Lastly, I don't know if other gas stations have this issue or do this programming in their gas pump machines, but this is the ONLY gas station I have ever been to that does this. I'm taking my future business elsewhere. One day, I may come back to this gas station, but if things don't change and get fixed, then I'll know where my new favorite gas station is ?.Thank you for reading.
