No matter how many times we try, they give us our neighbors’ mail on a regular basis. We have had bills, medications in our mail box and they belong to various people that live around us. It must be really hard to read the addresses and put the right mail in the right box. And DON’T try and call- unless you want a ridiculously frustrating experience. They design the phone system to make you angry enough to hang up.

The staff here is so kind and friendly and I love their customer service interactions with other clients. There is a friendly banter that seems fun and personable which I have observed with those who appear to be regulars. (I am new to Star)I recently witnessed a lady working in the front with pretty eyes who was so kind and patient with an elderly woman while she chatted. When I commented on how I appreciated that she did not rush this older lady, but took time to hear her story, she told me, " I have elderly clients come in that only buy one stamp maybe once or twice a week and I think this may be some of the only interactions they get. They just buy a stamp so they can have a brief conversation with someone." This warmed my heart, and I hope it warms yours. With people like this working here it makes me want to come back. Let's all remember this is the post office and not UPS or FedEx. They are not for profit and so they do not create our labels, or tape up our packages for us. Those are expectations for the profitable corporations that charge double. I still marvel that they will carry my letter across the United States for a fraction of a dollar. I know it has doubled since it was 33 cents in 1999. Uhhh, what about the cost of food in the last 5 years?

Rude customer service by the POST MASTER & the workers I personally have lived in star my whole life and can’t use the post office that I live by because I am targeted by them.I am told I cannot grab priority male boxes and that there not meant to take when the main purpose for them is for people to take them and use them.JAMIE have go works there red hair lady is very very rude.was In line waiting for my turn while she’s sitting there doing nothing working with no one.try not to go here unless u want to get met with rude ppl

Arrived at the post office at 4:50pm. Left work early to make the posted hours. After entering the lobby I was rudely met by the postmaster who sternly said, “This is the end of the line, I’m “calling” it.” A gentleman arrived after me, was treated the same. He simply needed a stamp. Was told no. A kind lady in line had a spare to share. The postmaster at this location is often rude, but to be this unpleasant at Christmas time is awful. I did make a call and inquired about his behavior, he said he can absolutely “call it,” and close when he feels the line might go beyond working past 5pm. Here’s my take: why didn’t he jump behind the counter and help move the line versus man the door and send a few last customers away? Too bad he’s the one “in charge” at this location. A bunch of lazy people that don't want to bother to go to the back to look for 5 minutes for a package that's in the back unbelievable I got told "we have so many packages that it would take me all day"

save the time and energy by just driving to Meridian or Nampa… they up charged me for a prepaid label on one of my packages and said it was overweight- it was not. I weigh all my packages at home and have NEVER had to deal with this before in my 5 years of online selling. I honestly think they take it way too serious here and would recommend going to a town over just to avoid any hassle.

As for the actual office, it is a typical small town post office. It is easy to get in & out & the staff has always been friendly. However, they do not have self service stamp machines like larger offices. It's not a big deal, but you have to purchase stamps at the counter, so you may have to wait in line & you can't purchase them after hours. As for my mail carrier, she is a dream. Right after I moved in, she was delivering A LOT of Amazon packages daily. I always met her outside my door & apologized. She introduced herself & said it was no problem. The complaints about having to purchase items for mailing are USPS policy and are nothing I haven't experienced at other offices. You can't blame the employees for that.

This is the WORST post office! The postmaster/manager is so rude and unpleasant beyond words!! I went in there to drop off a package and simply needed a tracking receipt. I was very pleasant to him and he was shaking his head in a negative manner as if how dare he help me and barely said one word to me. I thanked him despite the poor treatment and he muttered some hmmmhmmm. I will go to the Eagle post office for better service and treatment. Unbelievable that jerks like him have a job!!
