The Sandpoint Penske rental place has a fuel scam going, or is getting ripped off (and their customers getting ripped off). I had a truck to turn in with fuel gauge on half, so filled up with 25+ gallons on a 50-60 gallon tank at a station 2 blocks away. I even pulled the nozzle part way out to make it was full. We went to turn it in and they were closed on a weekday. So the truck sat out unsecured overnight. Next day they call us and tell us we are 7 gallons short, which is impossible after putting 25 gallons in a half full tank. Not only that, but they charge us $8 per gallon, when down the street it's $3.50. DO NOT TURN YOUR TRUCK IN HERE, and if you have to, MAKE SURE they sign off it's ok before you leave. Don't make the same mistake we did.
