“***Update, as of 26Sep18: after posting this, a representative from the main branch reached out to me and did what she could to address my concerns. The branch manager has been polite. Window tellers are always courteous and warm. I have had mixed results in calling into their support line for issues with ACH withdrawals processing and hard posting early (before business hours… ie 1200) on random days, even weekends...at times triggering "lastline defense" with prior deposits not even showing pending. ***Salmon branch manager was rude in telling me that an ach withdrawal for multivehicle insurance coming out early on 26Dec17 (moved over from another bank before the branch even opened that morning) had already generated an overdraft called (last defense) and the ACH was still in "pending" would not be credited to me, despite having made substantial deposits same day to cover this and much more as soon as the bank opened its doors. So even though the ACH was scheduled for 26Dec17, i was supposed to expect it to come out on 25Dec17-one might note this is a federal and banking holiday. When the auto loan was first acquired, there were erroneous negative marks on credit report from child support and another financial institution i no longer do business with. Both accounts were completely in the clear and had been for several years...they just never pulled their remarks. In fact child support was paid ahead and they had issued a refund check to me saying they cannot be paid ahead of time. The loan agent at the Salmon branch received written confirmation by fax from both entities, but did not pull a fresh credit report to give me a good credit rating and interest rate. I was stuck at the highest interest rate their system would allow and lower loan amount eligibility. The loan agent is rude, acts put-upon, impatient and does not care about customers as much as she does getting out of work and going out to smoke cigarettes.I have been paying well ahead on my auto loan so as to get principle paid down. I was told, today, at the drive-through in Salmon, that. I was paid up through March, and that East Idaho Credit Union no longer permits paying down principle on loans. The entire purpose of assuming this loan was to build credit i never had before. i notice that even when paying months ahead, they charge interest as though the time has elapsed through the future date. I have never been late on payments...ALWAYS ahead and pay more than the loan payment.I understand they are not considering a move to serve businesses. In light of the way EICU does business with individuals, i am reluctant to do business with them in my businesses even if they do.The final aspect, is i need a record of each month for tracking expenses in my businesses- and these, i am told, are not available because of a change to another system, earlier in the year. All banking history is gone, but i can go into the branch and order research and pay an exorbitant fee to retrieve copies. I had requested paper copies of statements. I have yet to receive one.”
