This restaurant is located well, next door to the hotel in which I stayed. The owner served me, was very friendly, gave great service! I had a wonderful beef burrito and fried ice cream. The restaurant was very clean, busy, and the staff and locals were friendly. I highly recommend it!

Even though the restaurant isn’t all that appealing on the outside, the food was real good & sizable portions. We had the avocado bacon cheeseburger, tator tots, and the nachos jaliciense. Our service was good, too, by the only gal there hostessing, waitressing, serving, & cashiering. We tipped her our ticket amount+ & tipped the cook, too. They deserved it. Just wish this restaurant was closer to us so we could come often.

I stopped in to have a quick lunch while my car was getting repaired next door. Fantastic! I ordered the lunch special: enchilada and tostada with rice and beans for $7.19. I was able to mix the meat choices and can recommend the shredded chicken and the steak, both delicious! I was immediately given a generous basket of tasty tortilla chips, fresh salsa with abundant cilantro, and a welcome departure from the usual: an added bowl of warm bean dip!! The food was fresh and good, with lettuce, pico de gallo and a nice plop of sour cream…perfection! Very reasonable prices. Surprisingly diverse menu. Pleasing decor. Fun, congenial clientele who were mostly locals, working men, farmers. The place was 90% full, and although a “help wanted” sign was on the door, every table was taken care of, and every customer looked happy. Two servers handled the tables like pros; no one waited nor wanted for anything. I personally liked being left alone once I had my meal; I knew that my server was nearby if I needed her. Even the iced tea was superior; not too much ice and came with a slice of lime. I will be back and cannot wait to try some of the dinner selections. And I will send everyone I know to this great restaurant!

We stayed in Saint Anthony toward the end of 2 weeks wandering around Idaho. In the mountains we came from restaurants were a scarce commodity, so maybe we were primed for something different. El Jalisciense was amazing and so inexpensive! The food was every bit as good as anything we could have gotten in San Diego at twice the price!

Anything in the parmesan sauce is glorious, especially the shrimp. Seating and service is quick;) Paying takes a bit more time as they do not hurry you. !Deilicioso!

With in walking distance to where we were staying. Food was good, serving size was good we left with boxes. Service was poor. Waited to be greeted. They say it's back in the dark corner. Food came day but that was the last time I saw our waitress. I had to go up to the counter to ask for boxes. It was a little expensive. I was hoping for better.

Great Mexican food for a very reasonable price! I can really recommend this place. The portions are huge!
