I have gone to several veterinary places in Rigby. I have a Belgian Malinos x. He can be "difficult" and "stubborn" when not feeling well. Dr. Hamilton is amazingly patient and discuses every step of the treatment plan, costs, he's patient with owners AND pets. I'm ADA and on a limited budget he made sure we didn't go over, and he called back when I had a question. I couldn't be greatful enough, to have been refered by Rigby k-9 to this great and caring establishment. I would highly recommend this veterinary clinic!

Today we had the misfortune of bringing our deceased pet to be cremated. Roy took care of us quickly and respectfully apologizing for our loss several times. He asked if we wanted her paw print. I said yes thinking it would just be a stamp on a card. He brought us a box that had her paw print pressed in the bottom and a place to put a photo of her in the top. I was touched. I would highly, without hesitation recommend this place. Thank you for your kindness on a very hard day for our family.

Very rude receptionist. I called to schedule a euthanasia for my extremely ill elderly dog, and was met with zero compassion or help from the receptionist. She snapped at me and said they don’t take new patients, not an ounce of care in her voice. Even when she could tell I was crying over my sweet baby getting ready to leave this world. She didn’t recommend any other vet offices, or any other help. She seemed annoyed by my emotions over my dog and quick to get off the phone with me. I understand not taking new patients, what I don’t understand is being cruel to someone trying to help their suffering pet.

The Vets, vet techs and all the staff are top notch caring people at Southfork Animal Clinic. In the last 6 years we have lost 3 dogs. 1 to old age and 2 to cancer. I cannot speak highly enough about Doctors Martin,Braumwell and Hamilton are very knowledgeable and kind. They have seen us at some of our saddest moments in life losing fury family and finding out 2 had cancer. They were correct in diagnosis as well as forecasting possible length and quality of life. Roy is very knowledgeable, caring and great at following up and remembering you and your pets names. The last very techs do such a great job putting your pet at ease with love, kindness, and that special loving touch fearfull animals need. We relaxed replaced a 180 lbs Mastiff with a tiny little 160 lbs Mastiff that's a little stubborn as well. She just had her shots, microchip, spay and dew claws removed. They actually took the time during surgery to call us with an update and give us a couple different options. We feel very fortunate to have them care for our animals the way they do. They are very busy and sometimes even have to limit their clients they have so many. That speaks volumes of the kind of care your pet will recieve from them. We are very satisfied, loyal customers.

I had to go back multiple times to get the same issue resolved. They charged me EVERY time I went back! Had a cyst removed on my Doberman and before the hair grew back so did the cyst. Charged me again to finish the job the 2nd time!

I visited this vet once with a friend and have been so impressed with their service since then! When I called to set up an appointment, they weren’t taking new patients. However, they were so incredibly kind to recommend other vets in the area!

Wouldn’t even consider grooming my dog because she’s a doodle…
Just went on their site to double check and it definitely says the groomer is an “All Breed” dog and cat groomer. All breeds except my dog’s apparently

Our vet retired and knew we needed to find someone new. Today we had an emergency they worked us in immediately for the exam. Had to leave our baby for testing an hour later the doctor called personally with the diagnosis and treatment plan.

I had a dog that was extrmemly sick years ago and needed diagnosis to obtain certain medicine to save her life. High costs and couldn't pay so had to delay. While waiting I asked vet if okay to give my dog her scheduled worming medicine and he said "Yes." I did so with extreme result of my dog few days later having neurological problems too where she would just walk towards a wall and stop and didn't know where she was at. Years later it came to me finding out one should never give worming medicine to a sick dog, so that's why I'm finally writing a review all these years later. With her main problem and the new neurological problem there was no way to save her I was told by the vet. So, I had her put down. The receptionist said "She was ok when you brought her in a few days ago". The way she said it made me feel that she was blaming me for my dog's death and why I had to put her down. Vet said nothing more we could do now and I didn't want her to suffer anymore. I cried for days after and even years since. If you want to be told the wrong thing, blamed for a pets death when putting them down so my dog wont suffer anymore, and no help when extreme costs such as Not taking payments when they won't do nothing unless you can pay, then go here. Otherwise I urge you find someone else to help your pets or use one of the other vets, might help? Best wishes to you and your pet to find a vet who can help you.

Wonderful place. Caring and kind to my dog who was quite nervous. Both the doctor and the nurse were very patient with my dog when she hid under the chairs. She didn’t enjoy getting vaccines and the last vet we went to simply dragged her out from under the chair far enough to give her the vaccine and poked the needle into her. Here, they soothed her and kept her completely distracted. It was wonderful!

We have been taking our pets to SFAC in Rigby for over 10 years. They are consistently kind and compassionate and go above and beyond for even the most trivial of issues. We recently adopted a chocolate lab from a shelter here in Southeast Idaho. When we got her, she had been on the streets for a while. She was very emaciated, had horrible teeth as well as kennel cough and several large wounds. We took her to another vet initially, only because we had some financial credit there we didn't want to waste, and were treated so horribly we left without caring about the credit. We took her to SFAC like we should have the first time, for a checkup and to be spayed. Right off the bat, Roy the Office Manager/Receptionist was so kind and welcoming. After I dropped off the dog, Roy called asking about the dogs immunizations. The shelter and previous vet had both given some shots. Roy spent an inordinate amount of time making phone calls to both the shelter and other vet trying to track down her records, but they stonewalled. He eventually asked me, in an almost apologetic way, if I could provide the records, which I was happy to do because of his approach.Over the years, our dogs have been every doctor and probably every nurse. Every one of them has been extremely kind and caring, and taken the time to get to know the dog before starting care. They really want to know the animals story so they can provide the best care possible. In one instance, our dog had some type of unusual nerve damage causing her to lose some control over her mind legs. The doctor gave several prescriptions to try, and then called me back a few days later to see how she was responding to them. We talked for probably 30 minutes about varying courses of action and I was left so impressed by the doctor's willingness to help. To top it off, I was more than willing to pay for an office visit (even though it was over the phone) and asked several times to do so, but he refused.I can't imagine taking my animals to any other vet clinic and will continue to use SFAC as long as they are around.
