We love Ron’s tire in Rigby! Every time we need something done on one of our cars they take care of us better than any other mechanic/tire place we’ve ever come across. Talking with them on the phone even they give us tips and advice on how to handle things ourselves if possible. There was one day we rolled up right before they closed and one of the mechanics stayed after hours to fix up our car that was in desperate need and didn’t charge us anything extra for it. We will always trust the people at Ron’s!!

Vehicle seemed out of alignment. I brought it in and they called back to tell me the control arms and ball joints were completely shot. I was quoted 1950.
It seemed high so I called 2 other shops. One quoted 1050 and one quoted 1100.
Ron’s called at 1 and said it was 10 hours book work, hence the high price, but would have it done by the end of the day.
(Not uncommon for a mechanic to pocket more by beating the book time)
I told Ron’s if they’d match it they could do the work but for 850-900 bucks, I’m taking it elsewhere.
They wouldn’t. I had to pay 100 diagnostic fee.
I drove around the corner, 20 minutes later the new shop called and said “not a damn thing wrong but it’s out of alignment”
So not only was the price high. They misdiagnosed, wasting 100 bucks. 100 bucks to jiggle the control arms and inspect them.
To the naive person, they’d drop 2k and never know that it was wasted.
They also quoted me 1350 for takeoffs.
They used to treat me good and I used to buy all my tires and have brake and suspension done there.
I would have never questioned them until their price was crazy high.
Now I’m wondering how many times I’ve paid for things that didn’t need done.
My advice. Go elsewhere, but if you don’t believe this review.
At least get a 2nd opinion.

Convenient location right by the freeway, had the tires I needed in stock, and got us right in and right back out again. I had a bus load of kids when we lost the tire on the road and they got us taken care of right away.
They offer a mobile service as well if you need it.

Several years ago, I was preparing for a long cross-country trip and needed to have some routine maintenance done on my SUV, including a regular tire rotation. Ron's was conveniently located, to me, at the time and I thought I would give them a try. There was nothing notable in the customer service at the shop.
However....
After the rotation, I drove about 150 miles and started feeling a thumping coming from the back end of my vehicle. I pulled over thinking I had a flat, but all appeared well. I drove another 15 miles or so and noted the thumping had intensified. I pulled into the truck stop off the interstate and did a thorough inspection, where I found that on BOTH rear tires, I was missing multiple lug nuts, and two of the wheel studs had sheered off. Several of the remaining lug nuts were also only finger tight. This issue cost me a tow bill and about $500 in repairs. The shop stated that none of the lugs on the front or back had been properly tightened or torqued.
Being younger, more naive and ignorant, I did not report or pursue this through Ron's but decided never to return.
Fast forward to two weeks ago (6/2024). I was doing routine maintenance on my riding mower and was searching every store in the valley for an air filter. For a non-specialty part, I was coming up empty handed everywhere.
Out of desperation, I tried Ron's (due to the motorsports part of their business).
When you walk in, there are two service desks but they are not labeled or identified. There was a man at only one of the desks, who was on the phone. I stood there patiently waiting while he had a personal conversation about some kids and the pool, all the while not acknowledging me standing there. Once he got off the phone, I told him what I was looking for. He snarkily remarked that I would have to go to the other desk for those kinds of parts. Mind you, there is still nobody at the other desk, but he said he would call someone.
Another 5 minutes pass. During this time, the guy who was in line behind me at the original desk, was ALSO referred to the desk I was now standing at, so I know it's not just me.
Eventually, a man came from the back to help us. It was apparent we had interrupted his smoke break, and he was pretty put out to have to come and assist customers. He barely acknowledged either of us, with more of a "What do you want" as opposed to "How can I help?" approach.
I don't expect any organization to kiss the customers rear end, but when you're paying someone for a service, I don't think it unreasonable that they at least fake being grateful that a customer has given their business to them.
I was able to get the filter I needed, so there is that.
I tried to give these guys a fair shake, but they disappointed again. Definitely on my list of places not to patronize any more.

Went in for a seasonal tire changeover on my 2018 Honda Odyssey. I asked if they could look at my winter tires to see if they could be used the next winter season, or if I'd need to buy new ones. An employee came out to look and said the tires were still ok, but not for another winter season. I asked if I should do the changeover or not since I was going to buy new tires for the winter, and he said to keep the winter tires on and save putting extra wear on my summer tires. He did say I needed an alignment though, so I agreed and they took the vehicle back.
While I was waiting, an employee said I was past due on an oil change, which I was planning on getting after I left Ron's. He informed me they did oil changes as well, so I had them do the oil change to save me a trip elsewhere. Another employee came in with my filters and said they needed to be replaced along with my brakes, and I said my husband does both of those for me and I would let him know. I thanked him and asked him to put it in the notes as a reminder.
While I was checking out with the employee at the front desk, the mechanic sat next to her and said, "I would never get in that woman's vehicle. I would rather drive around in a Jeep Wrangler with no roof. That would be safer than hers." I don't know if this was some type of intimidation tactic because I turned down the brake replacement or what, but it was rude and uncalled for.
After I left and was looking at my invoice, the notes said I was "just going to run those winter tires till they are trash". Also uncalled for, as I specifically asked an employee what he suggested, which was to keep the winter tires on since I was buying new ones.
I've used Ron's before and the employees have always been kind, helpful, and respectful. I was shocked by this treatment, to say the least. The invoice said the mechanic was Gordon.

I went there last week for an alignment and to get some new tires installed. I had just added a leveling kit to my truck and had a sheet showing the correct alignment specs for the truck. They were not stock specs.
I gave the specs to the guy when I checked in.
When I picked my truck up I compared the alignment settings to what I had given them. Not even close. They aligned it to stock specs and the tech, Gordon wanted to argue with me. I told him to stop arguing and align it to the specs I provided. He stormed off and did it.
I took the truck on a trip the next day pulling our 5th wheel. The steering wheel was not straight and continued to turn more. I checked the drag link sleeves and found one was never tightened and allowed the adjustments to move.
This experience was horrible and dangerous.
