My cat, Meowbert, had developed symptoms of urinary blockage. Took him into his regular vet in Moscow on Wednesday. He was not completely blocked. On Saturday he had not come out from under the bed all day and not eating since Thursday though I did observe him drinking water. Panicking, thinking his condition had worsened and his regular vet was not available, I had a friend call North Palouse Veterinary Clinic since they would come out. I wanted to discuss what options BESIDES euthanasia I had with Meowbert. With the vet's (she did not introduce herself) and her tech's help, we lifted the bed. Meowbert wasn't under there, he was on the traffic area to the bathroom where his litter box was. I picked him up, handed him to the tech while they gave me paperwork which I assumed was an intake form while the vet palpated him. I did commiserate about hospitalizing him last year and only wanted the vet's opinion. They took him back in the kitchen out of my line of sight and I heard the sound of cordless clippers. Next thing I know, the vet was checking his heartbeat and it did not dawn on me they had went ahead and snuffed him when they had neither given him back to me first to give a proper goodbye or wait for me to specifically go ahead. They left, taking Meowbert. At no time did the vet (still don't know her name) ever say boo to me, only to state, "We're taking him." This all happened within five of them walking in the door. It took me into Sunday to process what happened. I am livid. The vet was both unprofessional and incompetent. I will never use or recommend them again.

They came to a friend's house who needed their help saving his only companion, and they KILLED the cat without my friend's knowledge or consent on my friend's kitchen table. They did not communicate with my friend, they assumed, killed the cat, took his body, and then charged him nearly $500. My friend is a widower and is absolutely distraught. I am disgusted with this clinic, and if I was local I'd be making sure they knew it in person.

This vet was called on an emergency for a friend's cat who had been struggling with urinary crystals for a year. My friend is older, widowed, alone, and had little to no help. He called out for help yesterday, and a local friend helped him connect with this clinic. The vet came to my friend's house, and while the vet was listing to my friend give history, the tech was prepping the cat for euthanizing, without my friend's knowledge until it was done, and they were gone, taking the cat's body with them. It all happened within only a few minutes. They have traumatized my friend and killed his only companion. He is damned near suicidal because of this. I am angry beyond words. If I was local I'd be right there on your door tomorrow in the morning ripping you all new ones. AWFUL people.

The staff is the best!! Much more affordable than most vets! Love that they have emergency care and don’t just make you go to WSU!

We are fortunate to have a good vet available in small town. Our animals always get great care here.

These lovey professionals treated our dogs on Memorial Day. They were kind, compassionate, and funny; much appreciated during a stressful day. Thank you for being there for Joki and Charlie.

They are amazing with both young and old pets. Our first experience with them was when they came to our house to put our 16 year old cat down. I cried, They cried, and they were so thoughtful and wonderful. We now take our 6 year old dog and our 6 month old kitten to them.

We have been going here for (many) years, spanning multiple vets and multiple staff turnovers. I have NEVER found it anything other than welcoming and helpful. We have brought strays here to be taken care of, as well as our multiple cats and dogs. the Vets gives caring, reasonable advice. When we had to have our last dog euthanized (she was very, old, heart problems, bad teeth, had trouble walking), the vet cried with us when she died. I think one should choose a vet on more than a "bad feeling".

If you are looking for affordable, quality care for your pet, then this is the place for you. Each and every staff member is truly wonderful. They are friendly, caring, and most importantly they are compassionate. They treated myself and my pets impeccably, and advocated for us in every way possible. I really and truly can't say enough positive things about them. They made one of the hardest moments of my life bearable, and it was their compassion, dedication, and candor that helped me get through the loss of my pet. These are people that you can trust.

You get what you pay for is true here. I started taking my animals here to save some money and wish now that I hadn't. The building is old and run down, which didnt bother me much as long as my dog was taken care of. The receptionist was very nice but the vet was a bit snooty and acted like we were inconveniencing her when we asked a lot of questions. My dog got vaccinations and became very sick from them so I called asking for help. The receptionist said they would look over my dogs chart and call me back. Never did. I called back and didnt get much help. Three weeks later my dog is still sick so I took her to another vet in CdA. Overall, I got a bad feeling from the place and did not feel welcome. I cant explain why, but Id rather pay a little more for better service and facilities.
