The location is great, shopping and cinema nearby and a very close drive from downtown Sandpoint. The staff is friendly and helpful.I booked a room here recently and was very disappointed. The deadbolt on our door was completely ripped off, there were multiple holes in the walls of our room, the jacuzzi jets and bathroom floor had black mold. The hotel keypad for the backdoor access to the hotel was broken and duct-taped over so anybody could walk in. The hot tub wasn't hot and the ice machine was broken.I got a refund for my room and stayed elsewhere. I wasn't comfortable staying here.Rooms: Dirty, wornSafety: Not safe, mold issues

It was so beautiful with all the wood work in the room. And the price was amazing.

No elevators, anyone can come through the back entrance to the room since anyone can come in without hotel key. Arrived at night and a bit scary for women traveler since there ateno lights in the parking place. I will not recommend this place unless you want a chesp place for the night.Safety: Need to have more lights at the parking lot and back entry door should be accessible only for guests!

This place has seen better days. Definitely not the cleanest place I’ve stayed in. The “spa” is locked and you need an additional key to use it. Front desk was absent at best.

Very disappointed in our stay. The staff was super nice but everything else was not even near decent. We paid way to much I didn’t expect a fancy hotel but at least a clean and safe one. Side note I looked at the price for tomorrow it’s literally a quarter of the price we paid.I know that there was the tournament but this hotel really hiked prices. I expected to at least feel like I was in a safe hotel and clean oneOur deadbolt was not even screwed in.The bathroom had mold all around the top of the showerThe floor was dirtyThe walls had gunk. There was trash under the bed.The outside security door was broken so anyone could come in.The hot tub was extremely hot and grossThe sauna was brokenThe sheets had stainsThe laundry room was broken and ice machineNot a big deal but there was no elevator and this would’ve sucked if we had more bags. There was an odd smell in the hotel even my boys complained.Had the entire town not been booked for the soccer tournament we would have gotten a room somewhere else. You can truly tell this hotel was pretty one time but now it’s ran down.Safety: Not safe

Edited for 9/2023 unfortunately after this stay we are changing our review. We have stayed here many times but this time will be our last. My husband stayed by himself this time. Laundry didnt work, outdoor security doors didnt lock at all, hot tub didnt work..and he saw them fill it up with the hose but didnt see any use of chemicals. The hot tub used to have a lid to keep it warm but it is no longer there. The ice maker didnt work, one lamp didnt work plus tore up. Room 200 the door quit working..staff told him they hadnt replaced the batteries instead of replacing batteries they had him change rooms but didnt have one until later that day. Room 200 the water would go from correct temp to scalding in a few seconds without changing temp range. He said the only thing that was still decent was the breakfast. He went and visited hotels in the area so we found a new one to stay at next visit.Old review..We always stay here when visiting sandpoint. Convenient location..close to town, stores nearby, schweitzer mountain close, and sight seeing. Love I can do all my laundry so I fly back home with clean clothing. Board waxing station for winter activities well. Little outdated in some areas but not too badly.

One can tell that this hotel was once very nice. Sadly, the current owners obviously don’t care. It’s just about the money that can be made without keeping up standards which is standard operating procedure for these people. Can’t even acknowledge a customer with a smile.Rooms: Worn

I stayed here for a week for my job. I wasn't expecting luxurious vacation accommodations. Some of the negative reviews have me scratching my head. No room service? Of course not! Where do they think they are staying?Anyway, my room was comfortable and quiet, even thought I was facing the parking lot and there were lots of people coming and going. The staff was so nice and friendly. I even got to hang out in the parking lot, looking at the Super Moon with binoculars with the manager, just chatting about life. This is an old building, and they are keeping it up as well as possible, but of course there are some "old building" odors here and there at times. Grocery store just a few steps away across the street, close by shopping and restaurants and easy access to the highway. Keep expectations in balance and enjoy a comfortable stay in a little mountain town!

The hallways smell awful. The breakfast service ends at 9am, which is crazy when check out is at 11am. The coffee was empty. The mini muffins were not edible. The orange juice was empty. It just wasn't a good experience. But if your staying for Sandpoint music festival, the location isn't bad. There is a shuttle.

This seems to currently be one of the nicer hotels in Sandpoint. However, the hotel is very outdated, the carpets look dirty, the water temperature is highly variable, air conditioner is extremely loud, the ice machine didn't work, and the room phone rang at random times during the night and early morning. The hotel manager was friendly.
