Beware of Unfair Practices - Take Precautions.
My son rented an old, run-down apartment from Property Specialists in Pocatello for six months, paying an $800 deposit. Despite cleaning the apartment thoroughly before moving out, and leaving it in the same condition as when he moved in, the property management kept his entire deposit. They then had the audacity to charge an additional $45 for "cleaning and maintenance" and sent the bill to collections, claiming he now owes $845.
This experience has been incredibly frustrating. It's clear that Property Specialists engages in unethical practices to exploit tenants. They seem to operate on a scam model, holding deposits without just cause and adding unjustified charges.
If you consider renting from them, I strongly advise having a lawyer and meticulously documenting everything with photos when you move in and when you move out. Better yet, avoid them altogether to save yourself from potential headaches and financial loss. Property Specialists in Pocatello are not to be trusted.

If you read the reviews about these people then you should think twice before signing with them. They are scammers. They charged us $200 just for cleaning the damn carpet which we cleaned very well. Every time you go to their offices just expect to pay something. I’m glad I’m done with them and moved out of their properties.

Horrible people who will lie to you, not answer or return phone calls or emails. I was denied by them for a property after waiting two weeks and being told that they were only waiting on landlord references. I was told they would give me a letter explaining why and the letter only stated "denied." No other info to give me any indication why I was denied. I've been attempting to contact them as a check was mailed to the property by mistake and they still have no common decency to return my phone call or email asking them a simple question. Difficult in Pocatello, however, if you can RUN, somewhere else!

Best property management company in Pocatello!!! They're kind and caring! If you have any issues, they are quick to help get you the help needed and fixed fast! Integrity, Professionalism, and Compassion are the words that come to mind when I think of Pocatello Property Specialists. They were always prompt when I reported a problem at my apartment. They were always courteous on the phone and in person. Great group of people to work with I highly recommend renting or having them manage your property.

I rented from Pocatello Property specialist for 4 years, during this time we hung no pictures, we kept everything in boxes, and used only what we felt necessary. During the initial move in many things were in disrepair; light covers broken, pipes not draining, valances missing, blinds broken, windows not openings, carpet dirty, sinks clogged, stove vent extremely greasy, washing machine drain pipe partially clogged, toilet not flushing, and many more safety issues. I hope these things can be remodeled replaced fixed.

DO NOT RENT FROM THESE CROOKS!you will not get any of your deposit back no matter what! I left my place 20 times better than when I moved in. New light fixtures, smart thermostat, and very clean. They charge me 175$ for carpet cleaning, and the 15 year old carpet was replaced.
