I traveled from out of state to purchase a used car from Phil Meador Toyota. I had your typical used car interactions with dealerships in my own state which is not what I was looking for. I wanted an honest, straightforward dealership that I felt I could trust and had my own best interest at heart. James exemplified exactly that. James is not at all a salesman and felt more like a business partner or a buyer's agent in the process. He truly wanted what was best for me and went extra lengths to provide as much information as possible for me to make the best and most informed decision. I felt no pressure to make the purchase and instead just felt supported to make the decision that was right for me.
Even post purchase, James has been following up making sure I am happy with everything. I felt like this was a completely different car buying experience than anywhere else I have gone in the past. Even though I live out of state, I will be contacting James and Meador Motors for any future vehicle purchases.

I had purchased a used Scion Xa for my daughter off of FB and noticed a recall on the air bags. I called Phil Meador Toyota and they got it fixed right away, no questions asked. Thanks to Tony for his friendly service and scheduling. I have peace of mind that this safety issue was addressed when my daughter is driving this car around.

I was traveling through Pocatello when I noticed that the plastic cover over the fuel tank of my Tundra was hanging down in one spot so I pulled into Phil Meador without an appointment. Jamal took a look and made the lagging edge temporarily more secure; he reassured me that I could safely drive home and have a more permanent repair done when I arrived home. And there was no charge! I appreciated Jamal taking a minute of his day to reassure me. When I need to replace my beloved Tundra, I will definitely make a trip to Phil Meador.

I do not recommend this place whatsoever. My fiancé bought a truck here for work. They told him it only had a cylinder misfire and that was "all." They mentioned they didn’t take it through their shop, so they "didn’t know" what else might be wrong with it. After he bought it, we discovered it needs a whole new motor, which we were not informed about. We are getting married in 18 days and cannot afford this mess, especially as a young couple barely making ends meet. This situation has caused us immense stress and frustration. Now we are stuck with a truck that doesn’t work because of the misinformation from this place. We are both extremely upset and will be telling everyone we know to avoid this dealership. He went to this dealership expecting more integrity and now we are dealing with this right before our wedding, we are telling everyone we know NOT to come here.

We recently purchased a vehicle from Phil Meador Toyota and want to give a shout out to Dylan Anderson. Dylan is a fantastic sales rep, with no high pressure. He sincerely wants to get you into the best vehicle for your needs. He listens to what you want, makes suggestions in line with your needs, and then works with his managers to get the best price possible. He stayed past closing to help us out. He is just a great guy to work with.
And kudos to Phil Meador Toyota. They do not foist you off on a closer after you have established a relationship with a sales rep. I resent dealers who do that, and really appreciate that Dylan Anderson worked with us throughout the entire process.

Phil Meador Toyota is by far my favorite dealership in SE Idaho! When I bought my Camry, I felt zero pressure from the salesman and he was very helpful and was able to answer every single one of my questions on the spot. When I saw my car, I told him, "That's the car". He told me it wasn't quite on the lot for sale yet as it had just come in on trade that day so it wasn't detailed or anything yet. I told him that was ok, I still wanted to test it out. He got the go ahead from management and I took her for a spin. She was still the perfect car. I signed the paperwork and 3 days later they had it all detailed, and a few cosmetic issues fixed and I was on my way with the absolute best vehicle purchase thus far!

Took my van in to get rear brakes changed. When they were done my windshield had a new crack in it from top to bottom ( no crack when I took it in). They will take no responsibility of course! I'm very angry!

Called the service dept at 8:30 to ask a question about a scheduled appointment. My call wasn’t answered and the receptionist (very nice) took my info to have them call me back. When I didn’t hear back by noon, I called service again. No answer again and the receptionist asked if I’d like to leave a message. I said no, I left one earlier. She asked if I’d like to retry service and I said yes. No answer.
I understand being busy as I work in a customer service field. But 3.5 hrs is plenty of time to call back a customer. I’ll take my business elsewhere. Rating of 2 vs 1 is due to the personable receptionist.

Had my oil changed at the mechanical shop at Toyota and they drained my coolant (maybe by mistake ) without letting me know and my car started to over heat at Taco Bell RIGHT after I left the shop. I called and told them not even an hour after I picked up the car it happen and they claimed I had to of done something and said if I bought it back in I would be charged.
Did not agree with the way I was treated by the staff .
Other than that the company and most people are amazing but these certain employees working did not on 7/31/2024 .

I drove 3.5 hours (one way) to do business with Phil Meador Toyota when my local dealer totally dropped the ball on helping get into the car I wanted. I worked with James Garcia and he was AMAZING, going above and beyond and really making the whole process a pleasure. It was worth the drive to Pocatello (and the drive home was fabulous, of course, in my new Camry). James, you're the best - I'd do business with you again anytime.
