I’ve never written a negative review before, but after careful consideration, I feel compelled to share my experience.
I took my 2014 Chevy Silverado to FIX-IT Auto Repair for an engine replacement. When I got the truck back, it reeked of cigarette smoke. Despite this, I was eager to have my truck returned, so I took it to a detailer. Unfortunately, shortly after, the truck began to overheat. The initial diagnosis pointed to a faulty thermostat, which was replaced. However, the overheating persisted, and it was discovered that the replacement thermostat was also defective. After replacing it a second time and having the truck detailed three times to remove the cigarette smell, the issue seemed resolved. This was frustrating, but I appreciated them taking care of the issue.
The real problem, however, began after these thermostat issues were fixed. While driving on the interstate, the transmission cooler line disconnected, spilling transmission fluid and destroying my transmission that was less than a year old. When I returned to FIX-IT Auto Repair, Brady, the owner, claimed that the clip holding the transmission line likely “broke” and was not their responsibility. After pressing Randy the technician that did the work, on the other hand, said it was “hard to say for sure what happened” and that it’s “very rare for those clips to break.”
I took the truck to a transmission shop, where I was informed that, when properly connected, those clips do not break. It was suggested that improper installation likely caused the clip to slowly become disconnect over time.
Now, I’m left with over $7,000 in expenses for a new transmission due to the shop’s incompetence and refusal to stand by their work.

These guys are awesome! I had my alternator burn out while traveling. They got me in and out within an hour and charged me a very reasonable price in the middle of their busy day.

After Cole Kia in Pocatello said it was safe to drive with a bad bearing in the steering column in my 2021, and I wrecked, I took my car to Fix-It. Cole Kia was quoting almost $2,100 in repairs, Fix-it determined that two of the parts they kept trying to have me submit to my insurance, didn't even need to be repaired. They were able to make a supposed 2k repair, a $530 repair and I only had to tell them once that I was paying out of pocket. Great service and super friendly, I have three older vehicles that are in need of some work and they will definitely be going here.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I never actually went here. I pulled into the parking lot once and my phone has been harping on me to rate the place. I'm sure it's nice and has at least three comfy chairs.

paid 7000$ for an engine, the job took 3 weeks, and it was the wrong engine and then it blew a head gasket a month later and warranty that i paid extra for did not cover the head gasket so i literally lost 7000$ by going here

This shop is amazing. I took my mom's car in for battery trouble and they fixed the loose cable on the spot within minutes and were VERY friendly about it. I then took my Jeep in for the brakes a couple weeks later and not only were they awesome about getting me in and out quickly, they also were far far more affordable than taking it to the dealership. Will highly recommend them to anyone needing a good mechanic in the future.Service: Brakes

It was best experience i have ever had. Carlee the front desk person is awesome helpful truly cares about her customers and does her best everyday. The whole staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. They show u your old parts. Our honest, try to work thru problem with you and come up with solutions and prices lets you know things. Just best experience i had a huge weight was lifted off me and my family shoulders they even helped with towing and worked with us. I will never go to another auto mechanic place.
