One of the places around town that keeps older caliber Ammo around to the best they can. I have a couple of WW2 era rifles that is hard to find ammo for them, Sportsman’s doesn’t sell that kind of ammo anymore. Ammo prices are decent as well, compared to Hux. Came in here with my dad when it was still Docs Gun barn, and was pleased to see that it had opened back up under new owners. This place and Gunslingers are my go to.

Bought my first gun today and as a young female I worried I’d be talked down to. The female (awesome) owner who helped me, explained everything and answered all my questions with no judgement. I left feeling so happy with my purchase and they have guaranteed a return customer.

Small shop. Some would say it has a "cozy" feel, but it is more dark, a bit dingy, and outdated to me. Not actually dirty, but the vibe and terrible lighting make it feel dingy.Small selection of modern firearms, fair selection of levergats and revolvers, sometimes surp in stock. Variety of shotguns.Accessory selection is good for a shop this size, but, as is so common today, it heavily favors ARs and plastic pistols.I once overheard the owners wishing for more display space, while looking at the $30,000, GIANT CANNON (mounted Gatling gun) in the middle of the room.Reloading supplies come and go in varying rarity and quality, but pricing is schizophrenic. Can be good, can be bad, can be mind twistingly insane. It is not a bad shop, and the people are generally pleasant and friendly. But they won't make it here with some improvements and changes. There are problems, in my opinion. My biggest problems with this shop are:1. Ammo selection blows. On top of that, a fair amount of it is left over from when it was Doc's Gun Barn, and still open more than 2 hours per week (pre-2013). If I wanted 40 year old ammo that was water damaged and repriced twelve times, I would go dig through my own barn.2. They advertise gunsmithing, but don't offer any stock work or machining. If the work you want done requires a lathe or mill, go somewhere else. They mount scopes and install drop-in parts.3. One of the female owners is ALWAYS loudly complaining about something, or yelling about politics. God forbid she says something while trying to ring you up. It's not happening until she says her piece. You get to stand there until she does her job again, or you can walk out the door. I have not found a way to get her to move her lips and arms at the same time. Do Not Allow Politics Near The Register. You WILL be detained. If I wanted to listen to people rant about life or complain loudly about politics, I could get plenty on Facebook.4. I have heard complaints about business revenue, personal finance, and lack of desired inventory on several occasions, as I was looking at the $30,000 GIANT CANNON (Gatling gun) in the middle of the room.Pick your poison. You can't have a GIANT CANNON and eat it, too.

I purchased a Colt M16-style AR, and its a beautiful retro rifle. It was custom made here at Bishop's, and it works beautifully!

I recently had a great experience at this shop..The staff went above and beyond to make me feel like a valued customer.I would definitely recommend this shop to both the experienced and the beginner. It's a no judgement kind of environment if you are just getting into the hobby.

Knowledgeable owner/operator. The gentleman informed me of the do's and don'ts of purchasing a fire arm out of state. Looking to aquire my first hand gun, now knowing I need to be in my home state to buy. Being a novice, I learned a lot. Kudos..

I'm glad the Gun Barn is open again. I bought a membership to the Oregon Trails outdoor range.
