The team at Farmstead is phenomenal. Moving as a single woman is really intimidating and I’m moving under negative circumstances.
From the first interaction on my tour, I felt so welcomed and seen as a person vs just another $$$. They made sure I understood everything I needed to make the best decision possible.
The grounds look so clean and well kept. My apartment is beautiful and the perfect space. I had a little issue with my front door key, but the maintenance guys came by to make sure I had a working key, so I felt safe in my home.
All in all, this team has helped me in so many ways and I’m forever grateful. Thank you Farmstead!! I wish I could give you a 100000 stars

I just moved in a week ago. I moved in site unseen, as I moved here from TX. My mom scoped it out and was very impressed and told me the office staff were very nice… The office staff was amazing on the phone, but my first in person impression was a little shaky. There were 3 people sitting at desks when I walked in and nobody seemed friendly or welcoming when I stopped in to turn in my new tenant forms. I didn’t get any form a warmth…. I noted that the dishwasher was really stained and was told to run the washing machine again. That suggestion had me questioning if I was going to be having problems with other things in the apartment and needed to have my guard up… I did run it again, and surprise, it’s still stained. It’s a super cheap, dishwasher. I removed a star for that and the fact that the office visit was severely disappointing.
However, the maintenance guys came in to fix the other items on my sheet, AND THEY WERE SO AMAZING. Great personalities, so attentive, quick to fix. They made this a 4 star and instead of 3. I actually felt more confident in my choice to move here after they left…
The grounds are kept really well, and I love that. There is so much green space for my dogs, and lots of dog stations, which again are well maintained.
The hardwood floors look beautiful, but I can easily hear every step my upstairs neighbor’s make. I don’t take off any stars for that because…that’s how hardwood floors work. It was to be expected.
I don’t have any problems with parking. It’s actually better than some of the places I’ve lived before, especially for this size of complex. This is a large community, so I can imagine parking being more of a problem.
All in, I hope this will be an amazing home for the next couple years. I also hope they upgrade the dishwashers eventually.

I have been living at The Farmstead apartments for only a short time, but enough time to feel comfortable recommending them for your next apartment. The units are quiet and clean. I rarely hear a bump from my upstairs neighbors and everyone I have met was pleasant and seemed happy to be here. The grounds are tidy and peaceful. The Farmstead communications/announcements are great, and it is awesome having an assortment of food trucks visit the complex so often. Shout out to Jessica who was particularly helpful and promptly answered all of my txt questions. +5

So many people, so many dogs in a small area. Nice places on the inside. A bit over priced. Everywhere else is a few hundred below and just as nice if not nicer.

Please look elsewhere!!! The amount of money you will spend during your stay here and even after leaving is extremely unfair & unjust. The parking violations costed us a total of $650. The company they used was very unprofessional and rude.
Violation fees are $100 per violation even if they were caused by other residents. We did our part in cleaning up after our pets as well as other tenants who didn’t pick up after their pets in our area. Yet we were still violated/fined. We tried to explain that it wasn’t our doing. It’s not like we were home all day to keep track on how much dog waste others left behind. We were also fined because one of our pups got loose on one occasion. But they say nothing when one of their staff members have their dogs running loose. Thankfully Jessica was able to remove one of the fees for us.
Now that we have moved out, not only did they keep our $850 deposit, but also charged an extra $903.21. I made sure to wash & shampoo our carpets in our two bedroom apartment 3 times, within a two day span before leaving the apartment, so the carpets weren’t fully dry when we turned our keys in. According to Maureen, our carpets were saturated in urine, so she made the decision to have them remove the carpets based off of her judgement. It may not be cheap to lay carpet on floors, but I know I am not the only who thinks that being charged this much money aside from not getting any of the deposit is excessive!!! We already knew that we were going to be charged for the utilities, for cleaning the apartment, for painting the apartment, and for the carpet cleaning (which was more than half the deposit and is in the actual contract), but we were completely blindsided when were billed over $1700 in total!
I tried to speak with Maureen about the charges over the phone, but she avoided talking with me. She didn’t call me back even though I told Claudia to ask her to call me. While emailing back and forth with her, she completely missed the point, & reiterated that I had 30 days to pay if not I could work with the collection agency three times as if I couldn’t afford to pay the cost. My point was that no one should have to pay this much money! We are already paying for them to clean the carpets NO MATTER WHAT. I took videos of my entire apartment especially my carpets and I left them in great shape, but according to Maureen she couldn’t move in another family in the condition I left the apartment. But only a few days later they had other tenants living there, so how bad could it have been? Who truly knows for sure if they even changed the carpets out. According to other tenants, they have stated that their apartment was still dirty when they moved in.
Nonetheless Maureen, thought it was okay to try to lecture me and tell me what the definition of a renter and an owner were as if she were superior to me. I let her know that I didn’t need for her to lecture me and that she should truly watch how she spoke to people and how she treated them. Her attitude is unacceptable and being the manager there she should be leading by example. I never had any issues with Jessica or Claudia, but they have no control on how unprofessional their manager behaves.
This edit is a response to your message below Jessica. You have the audacity to lie to me about having footage of my dog running off the leash. You stated that there was no footage of anything we were being violated for because the cameras at the office don’t reach the area we lived in. You never mentioned anything about anyone having footage whatsoever! We completely admitted to our dog getting off the leash one time and that’s how you knew for sure. It’s okay to make the company you work for look good, but you can do it by not lying. The employees that live there with pets do the exact same thing everyone else gets violated for, but with no consequences. Continue exaggerating how bad I left the apartment. I know the truth, and I know you are trying to justify why we we

I absolutely loved living here and teared up when I had to go. Everyone was so warm and welcoming and as soon as I had an issue everything was resolved in a timely manner. I saw myself living here for many years, until a job opportunity presented itself in another state. Spendy to live here, but so so worth it! If I come back to Idaho I’ll be staying here again hopefully the management team is great, very informational very caring and do anything they can to help their residents! Only lived here for a year but the whole experience from start to finish was unforgettable! Thank you!(:

For the amount you are paying to live here they should at least have a dog area for dogs to play in and a small park for the kids as well. And yes the pool is awesome but like others have said to many drunks and smoking and bad language at the pool.

I wouldn’t recommend Farmstead to anyone unless they have deep pockets for the rent and all the fines that are so easy to accumulate. The insulation or heating and cooling system is messed up so expect to pay $160 a month for your power bill. You have to pay for internet and cable even if you don’t want to use it and the internet is horrible but if you ask for help they say they aren’t responsible and you have to call the internet company themselves. The maintenance team is nice but can’t fix anything, I have to do most of it myself. The apartment is cheaply put together and the niceness is a facade. Your deposit will be taken away so they can do cleanings that I don’t think they even do. We have to pay for a non negotiable carpet cleaning despite finding dog hair all over the carpets when we moved in. The parking is finally fixed but not until after a guest had to pay a $250 fine for parking in the only available spot. When trying to contact upper management we were completely ignored. You have to pay for any damage done but when you move in you can tell they didn’t fix any from the previous tenants. The noise is awful here so unless you’re up at 8am every day don’t expect perfect sleep. They are very disrespectful to my girlfriend because she doesn’t have as much patience as me for the bull crap so they’ve stopped answering her even for maintenance requests. Another friend of mine who moved in isn’t pleased at all with his experience and is going to be sure to leave a bad review. This places management is an embarrassment for sure and I’d love to see Maureen answer without being snarky or claiming I don’t live here.
