Messaged about a vehicle they had listed on Facebook. Wouldn't answer any of my questions at all about the vehicle they were trying to sell. Told me to come look or call them. Then blocked me before even giving me a chance to tell them why I wanted the answers to the questions before coming down there. Cant sell vehicles to someone without being able to answer questions. Total scam right there! Don't buy from here.

Had a car in mind and came here looking for reviews to see if I was wasting my time and I found my answer. Based solely on the responses to negative reviews from this “business” I’m thinkings it a hard pass

Horrible experience. I flew to Boise and got a cab to Douglas auto group only to find the place still closed at 10 am on a Friday. The tires were flat on the truck, and it was covered in dust from the high traffic industrial area that it's located in. Confused, I called the number, and the man that I spoke to told me the lady was coming back from vacation and she would be there at noon, after we spoke about being there when they opened, or near that time earlier in the week. What choice do I have? I waited until 1 pm. to come back, allowing the small family owned business time to fix or address the issues with the truck, but that was far from the case. "Maria Escamilla" was there when I arrived and was completely full of excuses as to why she was late. I understand that life isn't perfect, but pouring on to a customer like that was ridiculous. She went all the way into her divorce and filing bankruptcy. So after we passed that, I had to go into her nasty shop with oil spilled all over the floor and drag the air hose out to the truck it couldn't reach the front tire so I had to move a car for her and back the truck up so I could air all the tires to correct pressure. Then I put the airhose away because I'm a good person. Now covered in dirt and oil, and because of this huge inconvenience and free labor, I asked if there was anything we could do about the price of the truck. She immediately declined, and that was very frustrating considering how this circus 🎪 was unfolding. She walked to Sinclair, and i drove the truck 750 ft down the street to put diesel in the truck. I drove back, and she had prepared a purchase order for me and was willing to take $500 off the price, but it needs 2 tires replaced as soon as It leaves there minimum. That's not really good enough for me, I was reaching for at least 1.5k-2k off, which I thought was pretty fair. Then because they can't finance out of state. Which is not what they say on the website. She referred me to a credit union that does, but we didn't even make it that far. I'm in the middle of telling her how unprofessional her business is being run by a 3rd party while she is on vacation, and she cuts me off mid sentence with a raised voice slamming her hands on the table says "well I'm here now are you interested or not!" I cut her off and said to keep the truck and shred any of my info, and walked off the "lot. " The lack of professionalism is off the charts with this company. So, instead of driving a truck back, I had to fly back home empty-handed with a huge waste of time and money. Ultimately, it was my decision to buy the truck or not. I just couldn't complete the purchase. Nice truck to whoever gets it, but check the tires. They are weather checked and leaking. End rant.
Edit: So, a little over 4 months ago, I made this review because of a horrible experience I had with this company. Now, you decide to reply with this nonsense, which shows even more the lack of professionalism that I was referring to. I clearly had an appointment, or I wouldn't have even been there. You can check your logs and the cameras that would show me having an appointment and being nice until she snapped. But i know you won't confirm like a good owner would, so this is a waste of time even typing out. Anyways, it was also pretty clear in my review that I was willing to make the purchase even at the price that was being offered. Life happens, and I get that, but I read my post again and respond with a little more professionalism. I hope it just dies out here. Good luck selling your vehicles. I got one already.

We had a great experience with Douglas Auto Group. Staff is very helpful and polite. Referred us to an excellent lender. We would recommend them to friends and family.

Bought from out of state (drove from Utah), DAG was super accommodating, even did a video call to show me the car in advance, they jumped through the extra hoops to make an out of state sale. Car was super clean, Maria was so great to work with! They even provided the Carfax. Love the car, price was definitely fair. Would highly recommend!

First and last visit. Came in to test drive a 2016 Honda Pilot Elite. Some people were disassembling a wrecked vehicle in the parking lot, and there was almost no room to drive in and park. The sales woman had gushed on the phone about how wonderful this car is and how it drives like new... it wasn't, and it didn't. The car had obviously been in an accident as there were visible scrapes in the paint and on the wheel rim. It did not drive well. We tried to identify the issue, but I'm no expert. I noticed the tire was in poor condition and the tread appeared to be separating from the radial, and I hoped that's all we were feeling, but couldn't guarantee it. We took the car back and expressed our concerns and asked them to call us back when the bad tire was replaced so we could give it another chance. The sales woman was dismissive and responded by saying another customer had taken the car to their mechanic that checked the car out and had said everything was perfect. After asking about addressing the tire by rotating or replacing the failing tire with a spare, they said they would have one of their people check it out. They never called back, so I got the impression they weren't willing to fix anything else on that car (or that the bad tire was hiding other issues), and we would have to buy it how it sat. It's not like we were asking them to get rid of smells and unbedazzle the interior. We bought something else from a different dealer.

My boyfriend has recently been looking to buy a car and came across Ian (allegedly the “owner of 10+ businesses” quote him) My boyfriend shot him an offer since the car was priced VERY high over the Kelly Blue Book recommended price & his offer was still above what the car was worth. Ian responded in a very childish manner calling him names and acting as if he was a 14 year old boy. “go do what your good at.. nothing” is what was sent to my boyfriend after just an offer! wow! This was all over just an offer, could've responded like an adult with just a simple “no thanks” or even just a “no sorry”. Very poor customer service, Very poorly ran business. Please save your time and go else where for a car, don’t support someone who acts like this while running a car lot. It’s not hard to be kind Ian! (seeing the other 1 star reviews about this business and about Ian really shows that he is this way with just about everyone)

Tried to purchase a truck with my husband. I am a stay at home, and I drive as he doesn't have a license. I was given attitude multiple times, and I was told that she couldn't sell us a vehicle without my husband having his license because "its the law". No such law exists, and it was going to be in my name anyways. They also advertised it to have an air conditioner, but it didn't work.. Oh well, their loss. We are taking our money elsewhere to a dealership that actually knows the law.

Poor customer service. Lack of communication... Being i work at a well established used car dealer, now i understand why the used car industry gets a bad wrap.****Edit**** When I agreed to purchase the vehicle and have the buyers order to be sent. The dealership said they didn’t have the title…I was told I have to wait a certain time of the day before I can purchase.. The Vehicle was on CarGurus for over 200 days… (They said they didn’t have the title) They had plenty of time to get a title from purchasing from auction. The vehicle needed 5000 in parts and the price of 34,000 was a rip off. Truck value is 30,000 tops 31,000.. .I have messages saying you agreed to 31000, you also said you sent the vehicle to auction and now from what u said it was sold from underneath me. I’ll post screen shots of messages . A typical small business move to make a buck and now that’s where the 1 star comes from. I would give 0 stars If it was an option. You gave calls and texts to a phone that wasn’t in great working order hence the communication was through my wife’s phone that you barely communicated through. Good luck with your small business. This is a honest review and detailed of my experience with Douglas auto group. Your guys actions is the result of this review. Have a great day.
