Luke and the rest of his crew here are great to be around! They always are super courteous and looking out for their customers, myself included. This, ontop of their decent game/console pricing has had me coming back a ton recently. Definitely one of the best local game shops in the Treasure Valley in my personal opinion.

I love this store, the workers are kind and fun to talk to and also have amazing video game recommendations based on what you like to play.

Went in the other day prices are a little higher than fair market on eBay. Repair prices are in the sky and Luke (I think that’s the owners name) acts like a car salesman and makes it really awkward to even want to buy anything and his laugh sounds like it was rehearsed in a mirror.

Making a new review as I have been a customer for over 5 years now and my opinions have changed.First of all, great selection of games at very good prices. I've always been able to get certain games at a steal and that fact makes it one of my go tos for games. But when it comes to repairs and helpful knowledge about consoles and certain things, I really do not recommend. I first got a repair done around a year and a half ago for a broken ps4 hdmi. It worked for almost a year but eventually gave out again. The price was around 130 dollars and it was not worth it and seemed pretty shoddy. Not to mention the warranty ran out before I could do anything about it.Most recently I came in to try and get a faulty dreamcast repaired. I did my best to research what the issue could be so I could help the problem be diagnosed as easy as possible and it came down to either the power supply or the disc drive. I explained the situation to the owner, Luke and he gave me an absurd quote of "at least 150$ repair." He did not even bother to open the unit which is held together by 4 screws or try to really diagnose the true issue. he then gave me extremely inaccurate and unhelpful information, saying that he would 100% need to do solder work and that replacement dreamcast parts don't come easy. Ultimately I decided to leave and felt something was off.I did my own research and found out the quote he gave me was absolutely absurd and that 150$ for the work needed to fix was way too high. I understand there's service fee but just hear me out.The dreamcast is a completely modular system. Every part can be unscrewed and replaced with minimal effort including the power supply. Ultimately I bought a replacement OEM power supply and installed it in under 30 minutes for 15 dollars and it works flawlessly now.I'm very disappointed with how Luke handles his repairs and do not recommend you get any piece of hardware fixed here. The games are good, repairs not so much.

Cameron looked at my switch, and it was a quick and easy fix. Instead of replacing my switch, it has a new lease on life. Thanks Cameron!

Amazing small business, great prices and customer service. I purchased a 3 disc game and they gladly resurfaced the games of any scratches.

This is my second review of this game store. My old review shares many of the same points, which can be summarised as such:This game store rivals (and even sometimes surpasses) it's competition in Nampa, Caldwell, and Boise due to fair pricing and product quality. The reason I am re-reviewing this location is simply due to the nature of changes in the store itself. Namely, as of recently, this store has stopped (or at least severely cut back on) working on handhelds to the point where trade-ins for damaged systems aren't present, regardless of overall system quality. Furthermore, even as a service, they have stopped repairing several parts of (if not the entirety) of (at least some) handheld systems. (System prices have also increased a noticeable amount, but that could simply be associated with rising business costs and/or the state of the economy, and as such it is an unfair criticism to levy.)The reason this hurts so much is because they were, to the best of my knowledge, the only store in the entire Treasure Valley with the niche of working on handhelds. Losing that means losing a huge factor that made them, more or less, superior to every competitor they have, while leaving behind a very desirable service that nobody else could provide (to my knowledge). Handheld systems, by nature, are much more destructible and as such the presence of a business who, regardless of cost, could repair them makes living and shopping in the Treasure Valley more worthwhile, all by itself. It is understandable why these services were cut, but that doesn't change the fact that this business is unfortunately not nearly as favourable as it once was, now only standing side-by-side with it's competition instead of head-and-shoulders above them.

Very nostalgic place, lots of classic games and prices are very reasonable. I stopped in to check out the Grand opening and found an adapter I needed for a Wii. Now I'm playing Final Fantasy 3 again. Thanks 8-Bitplus!
