“I was visiting my son from out of town and needed to make a few repairs to his apartment. I needed a small 3/4" piece of wood about 4" wide by 8" long. I asked at the front counter if they had anything like that and was told no sorry. I asked if they had any scrap bins anywhere that I could look through. The gentleman behind the counter said sure and pointed me towards the back.In the bin I didn't find anything but on the floor was a 3' long piece of 3/4" about 4" wide. Not only did they just give it to me they also cut it down to the 8" length I was looking for.I asked if I could give them a few bucks for the time and the wood and was told no. Now how often do you run into service like that where they not only help but since it was going in the garbage anyway... no charge.I will definitely be back. Thank you Jim's Lumber.”
