“Is the Co-Op more expensive than other grocery stores? Sure. Do they work to support the community and offer foods you can't get anywhere else? Also yes. Whenever I'm looking for local food, I shop the Co-Op first. I love the freshness of their produce and that they support nearby farms. They also label everything so you know exactly where it comes from. Beyond that, they have natural brands you can't find anywhere else. The deli has awesome prepared foods, including vegetarian and vegan options. I enjoy the bakery and their cakes and cookies are hard to beat. You can also get bread from Zeppole and local bakers that are hearty and fresh every day. Definitely check out the Co-Op. Just don't get the deli coffee--I'm not sure who makes it but it's too dark and bitter.”
