Went in for the first and last time to get some Creatine supplements. Kept getting asked about "why" I needed it to which I answered but kept getting the upsell from the employees and weird comments. For instance, one comment was about "why" I needed the pill form for traveling to which I had to explain the convenience of the pill vs powder which seems obvious for travel convenience. Despite this, employee kept pestering on about the travel comment I made for some reason which was annoying. She also made a comment about how I was "the guy getting a lot of creatine" without realizing I was still there even though I literally only got one bottle of the creatine lmao. And OF COURSE, I was getting the upsell the entire time and because I mentioned travel they were trying to upsell me on their most expensive multivitamin supplement "for taking on the go". No thanks lmao.As other reviews mentioned, phone number was asked for which was confusing. Kept getting the upsell AGAIN about "it's super fast and easy!". Employee was visibly gruntled that I didn't want to sign up with my phone number.

Not going to lie, this place is worse to go to than a car dealership. It’s a very annoying company to buy product from. Please just let customers come in and buy products without getting asked a million questions. If we have questions we’ll ask. Almost every time I go to GNC I usually walk straight in, grab the product that I want and then go straight to the cash register. It’s never that simple. Even though I have what I came in for, the employees insist on playing 100 questions. NO I would NOT like to hear about all of the product in the store, NO I do not want to sign up for the upgraded account and NO I do not need another shaker to add to my other 20 at home. It just gets old getting bombarded every time I’m in the store.

Let's be honest, if you don't know the secret hand shake, or have the appearance of someone that is entering some type of "world's strongest " competition, GNC costumer service sucks. If you've been to one of these stores, you probably know what I mean. Unless, of course, you have the appearance worthy of competitive bench press... I do not have this look. I'm 6'2 and weigh 185 lbs, almost as old as dirt, but in good shape. If you haven't been to GNC, and you're looking to be judged with eye rolls, your IQ questioned, or just want to feel like to don't belong somewhere in general, you should definitely head straight to GNC in Boise. These dudes that work at GNC, in Boise, specifically, have a bit of a 'tude towards the general public that have the audacity to shop, ask a question, or be unknowledgeable about what it is you are looking for. I can only speak from my experiences with these stores, but I'm confident that most know what I mean. I will not spend another dollar at GNC. Even if it means I have to order my nutrients from Amazon. And I would rather not have anything to do with Amazon, but at least I can order from Amazon in privacy of my own home, without feeling shamed, publicly. Oh, the store on Fairview and Eagle Rd.... Don't go to this store. Just. Don't.

I was at the GNC and was helped by Salisa Hussein. She is so knowledgeable and such a great help anytime I need supplements or my lean burn shakes. She always has what I need on hand and what great advice she has on any other health issues with supplements and vitamins I'd like to give her five stars for sure for her great personality and great customer service Billi Clark.

Went into this store location in Meridian a couple days ago. No one appeared to be in the store and all of the sudden as I walked half way to the back of the store this extremely assertive woman pops out on my right side startling me with a "hi can I help you?" Really? She acted like a child by doing that. She was very assertive borderline aggressive and I shouldn't have provided my phone number and email address at purchase. I bought my whey protein and left. Will not purchase another thing in there again! Time to grow up and learn proper customer service and it smelled like cheap perfume in there too.

The associate was no help. GNC should probably get associate who don’t sit on their phone all day.

Always get upset about the phone number, automatically round up your purchase without asking, and close early.Additional star because they’re well stocked.

Everytime I go into this place, they ask me for my phone number then get bent out of shape when I tell them they don't need it. Today I was told I could probably get my oils cheaper at the coop. I've been buying my rosemary oil at this store for 3 yrs. Apparently they don't want my business because i won't succumb to their marketing bs so, think I'll go check out the coop. This place gives me really bad vibes. Maybe I just don't buy enough of their other over priced products to be welcomed back. Bye bye

They wouldn't accept the return of a product I bought online. GNC's policy is that stores must accept online returns. The employee actually said I was making them lose money by trying to return it to them and gave me the website customer service number. Customer Service (a 32 minute phone call due to hold times) said the staff was wrong--they are required to accept returns. Ridiculous run-around. Avoid this location--go to another. GNC usually treats me right, but never at this location. Getting sick of the hard pressure upselling techniques at this location.

This is no longer a GNC. It is now a bed and bath.

The staff is great and very knowledgeable. I can't have anything with soy in it and GNC has a great selection is vitamins and supplements with no soy. They also have great savings programs and promotions.
