Amazing service. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They will know you by your first name and take the time to understand your needs. You are treated like family here. I am very glad this is who I bank with.

First if I could give them lower than 1 star I would.When they were BOW i was pleased with their service and assistance. Since they moved to Bank of Montreal they have been a mess. As hard as the local folks at the branch try to help they cannot overcome the corporate stupidity.I had three fraudulent actions on my account and tried to get into contact with the bank to stop them. They totalled just under 5k. There was no way to mark them fraudulent in the app. No person answered the phone when I called the national number, and my personal Bankers hands were tied as they refused to discuss it with him and said they could only speak to me?! He is their employee?!!!Anyway long story short it has been a month and still no resolution, looks like this is how the crooks get away with stealing your money!If you have an account there, close it and run!! Not worth the hassle or the time.

No longer Bank of the West, its now BMO! So far a total fail as the bank who's taken over Bank of the West! I had several accounts, including wealth management and a home loan through BotW, BMO took over and for the last 2 months, NOTHING works properly! Hours on the phone with clueless individuals who can't seem to get anything right, I am STILL having issues getting the smallest issues resolved! The only thing that's happened correctly so far is the ability to still write checks, use my bank card and transfer money between accounts, as well as pay my monthly bills. Other than that, its been horrible. They cannot even get my ONLY email address I use to work properly! They send emails almost daily about me logging in from an unrecognized computer (my ONLY computer at my office that I use for banking!), yet I cannot receive the 6 digit verification codes that their system is supposed to send out to verify the computer! Their help line, if you can even get through, is based in the Philippines and it is quite obvious that they are reading from a book based on what they hear from me. What's even more dumb is the fact that they use the last "charge on the account" to verify me, yet I could not log in to see that charge, which is why I was calling in! "Go to the nearest branch to resolve" is their last reply!!! Really??? Now looking to transfer my business, personal, wealth management accounts as well as my home loan just to get away from this poor excuse of a bank! And with the interest rates as high as they are right now, I'm more than likely going to have to just pay the home loan off completely rather than refi at more than twice my interest rate now (currently 3%). Thanks for nothing, BMO. I'll make sure to tell everyone I know, including each and every one of my customers about how bad your company is...

If you ever want a bank where it has a small town feel of family warmth and on-hand services for your needs look no further. The staff is always professional, friendly, and ready to assist with many financial needs and really helped me walk through the process when I got started in the Meridian area. They are always so kind when I walk in.

Why doesnt it suprise me to come here and see an average of 2 stars for the reviews. The 2 ladies who run this branch have the common sense of a turnip. Run do not walk to a different bank than this one.

I've had a long standing relationship with Bank of the West. As a California customer, their number one goal was excellent customer service.We moved to Idaho about 1.5 years ago. First thing I did was order checks. For the first time I was charged $15.00 and didn't receive the checks. Went inside to the Wells branch in Boise. The person behind the window stated, I'll order checks and going forward you will be charged $15.00 on you this account.Currently I have three checking accounts and one savings all linked together carry a large sum of money. I've never been charged for checks before but, now they are stating the one account is being charged a fee for checks. Why is it, that don't have to stick with the agreement we made when I opened the account or what they sold me on?I ask the teller to advise the manager if they decided to charge me, I would close my account. I've never been charged until I got to Idaho. He states, I'll call you back and ask for my number. Well, he didn't call back and when I called directly to the branch today. They was two more $15.00 charges. He said, I ordered the checks and the company they out source to must have made a mistake. I requested the charges to be taken off. Bottom line, Bank the West would rather loose a 20 year customer with a large balance then wave their $15.00 fee. I use to love this Bank and now, not so much.

Always make mistakes, unprofessional and not wanting to help when I have questions! Going to start closing my accounts and they are giving me a hard time with that right now! Don’t bother banking with them!

Horrible bank. They like to place random 8 days holds on credit cards payments when you pay off your balance, then refuses to lift them. I have never had a bank do this to me. I will just stick with credit unions.

They only have three locations in the valley, none of which are open on Saturdays like most banks. Also, they don’t hold normal hours Monday through Fridays like everybody else.I have noticed a pattern of using Covid as an excuse to either not be open at all, or have their drive-through closed, which is the only reason why I go to the bank at all.

Went to the Bank of the West after moving to Meridian ID on Wells. They required an appointment, so I made one. I went to the bank and waited 20 minutes with no assistance from the personal. Ending up leaving and went down the street the Idaho Central Credit Union to establish a checking account. They provided superior customer service and assisted me with no issues. Went to Bank of the West again three days later for a deposit. Waited 20 minutes in line to get waited on. I talked to Stacey VP regarding my visit and the lack of service. She gave me a poor excuse about my experience. If you want good customer service and a sense of urgency when you go in to do a transaction, then this is not the place to go. This is coming from a customer of Bank of the West that has been with them for 50 years.

Slowest branch ever. The drive through routinely takes 10+ minutes when I am the only car there. The people are always super friendly - so maybe it's just under-staffed?
