This is a great hotel in a great location, I like the vintage style has not changed much over the years but still has all the perks of view, fireplace, streaming channels and coffee and continental breakfast downstairs. If you have a lot of heavy luggage you may want to pack lighter as only stairs but regardless of this one of my favorite places to stay in McCall, location is near lake and within walking distance to everything.Nearby activities: Bocce ball right downstairs at bistro and lake with beach also close, yacht club, steamers and my fathers place also not far.

We've been staying here since 1990! The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and classic, and the location is wonderful - walking distance to all of downtown!

After reading a few other reviews, I was VERY pleasantly surprised about everything at this hotel!!! Quaint, clean, spacious, excellent location for walking the area, close to so many gorgeous hiking trails. Lobby clerks so friendly & perfect little breakfast to go, with great coffee. Quiet this time of year, but fall colors were amazing. Highly recommend & would stay here again.

Beautiful Hotel ! So close to everything and the hotel employees were super nice and very friendly. We will be back for sure.Rooms: Rooms were quaint an cozy. Not as big as usual hotel rooms. They didn't have a fridge, microwave or coffee pot, but we survived lol.Nearby activities: There were activities to do and rentals to go out on the lake. But we didn't do that.Walkability: Can walk to about everything restaurants and the lake.Food & drinks: Some of the restaurants were very spendy.

This place is absolutely terrible. I would not recommend. We booked a week prior and when we arrived they did not have a room available. They were unpleasant and very unhelpful.

We were so pleased with our stay here. The room was clean, the linens and bed very comfortable, and it was very quiet (although street noise rather loud until about 9pm). A lovely continental breakfast was served which we enjoyed in the historic lobby. HIghly recommend.

Brought my family from out of town to enjoy beautiful McCall. Unfortunately the bath had hair in it, the staff was rude and amenities were not working. The staff (Karen and Amy) are argumentative and clearly do not care about the guests who pay the high prices to stay at their hotel. They are more interested in your pocket book instead of providing quality customer service. Won't be back. Highly disappointed, especially with staff that appear to be recent addicts.

Very poor customer service. The manager Amy and Karen have poor demeanor and treat people with little respect. I spent over $350.00 for poor service and won't be back.

Martini Monday's are a must... but... Ruperts needs to buy more martini glasses! We came back for dinner and had a fabulous meal and amazing service! Love this place!

Spend the extra money and stay at Shore Lodge. Booked one night here. My husband thought to extend the stay but they needed us to change rooms. They said it would be the room next door but that room wasn't ready by the time the guest came for our room. Mind you it was only 12 pm. Instead of having the next guest wait until check in. The manager barged into our room demanding us to stay in a similar room across the street. At this point I requested to cancel the room swap, the point of staying was to avoid packing up all our items into the car. The Manager at first understood and agreed. I have 3 children and one being a newborn I began fully packing this is when things went from bad to worst. The manager came in and started to clean the room with me in it. The couch bed they remade with the same sheets we had just used. I made a comment about the sanitation of that choice as she began making the main bed in the room the same. The Manager began to get angry. I made a comment about speaking to a manager about the lack of sanitation they were "cleaning with before the next guest and she stated she is the manager and highest up I could speak too. She then said if I leave a review she is going to charge me for the second canceled room now. It was a misuse of power. I began to understand why the staff seemed so miserable. Switching hotels was the best choice because the second hotel experience was beyond amazing and we ended up extending our vacation an extra week at the other resort.

The pet rooms are beautiful! My dog is easily able to walk on the uncarpeted floors. The bed is comfortable, the room is clean, and the front desk attendance are kind and extremely helpful. The lake is across the street so this is the place to stay! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone with or without pets.

The hotel was beautiful and right up against the lake. There was some confusion with our dog ( pets are aloud, but only within a certain weight range), but the manager accomadadted us, and it was very nice of them. I only wish that they offered room service.!

Nothing better than a historical hotel in a central town location that has been well maintained and kept up-to-date. Lots of public space, appropriate decoration, and services. Room is comfortable and well decorated as well. Breakfast offerings are a bit on the Spartan side but adequate to get the day started.
