Always so helpful! We stay with Umpqua because of the great staff in Lewiston and Clarkston.

I have been banking with umpqua for many years now and have LOVED them. Have always been so polite and helpful with any questions. However, I dont know if its just new hires...but my last four interactions with them have been simply RUUUUUDE...They act like I am bothering them to ask questions if more than one. I was calling to dispute a charge on my account and asked for information on how to when the seller had no contact information. On top of my card being declined when attempting to use. Alarming things.Yet, you could hear the annoyed tension by the lady helping with my questions. Then she completley cuts me off while I was talking and places me on hold without saying a word. I sat and waited but didnt have her back on so I hung up. Was no "ok, let me take a minute to find out" just a simple click to me on hold. So disappointing as this like I said has been a few visits where I am being met with a annoyed tone, even eye rolls, and cutting me off (when in person). I get it is a trying time for all, but I am always polite when I talk with others and this has been constant where I am considering avoiding interaction with this location at all. It is sad that this has become the customer service interactions on the Thain umpqua. If you have questions I would say it is worth making the time to travel to Clarkston instead.

This bank is probably the worst credit establishment I've ever dealt with. My grandma 's account was breached 4 times and the bank cashed fraudulent checks and withdraws without a second glance. When they showed us the checks that were cashed, it was obvious they were fake, sent from somewhere in California. In addition to never catching fraudulent withdrawals, they charge you every month after a loved one has passed away until the account is completely closed, the entire act of closing the account may take years with all the paper work they keep requiring. ere were many other problems with this bank in the years I cared for my grandma 's care, so I would recommend finding a different bank with better policies.

I opened up an account and never had an over draw, I deposited $800.00 in a matter of days, amassed nine overdraft charges at $35.00 each. I called to see if this could be resolved, a woman spoke to me and said she would call me back by 4:00PM, she did not. I had to call her back, two days later. The woman stated they could not find my paper work, as when I opened my account, I had a conversation about not wanting overdraft protection at this time, maybe in the future. She kindly told they would reverse 3 charges, I stated this is not acceptable, I would like all of them reversed, since I did not want overdraft protection on my account. I was told my complaint would be heard and addressed by the following Wednesday; mind you I am still out $210.00. My number was taken, again, I was told she would call me back. Wednesday came and went, I called the next Friday and was told she was on lunch and that she would ensure this person would call me, as she has not called me back twice over this issue. It still is not resolved. Umpqwa was in a class action suit about their banking practices, I was unaware of this, second, they couldn't find my paper work, that is not someone I want to bank with (the account was opened in the end of July), third, I feel like I am not being taken seriously, if someone cannot return a phone call when my money is involved. In order to be satisfactory, call back the customer, ensure paper work is able to be found. My account history shows that I have never had an overdraft, I deposited $800.00 is a matter of days. Customer service is great face to face, follow through has been poor. Bank at your own risk.
