1st visit, might be my last visit. Undecided. Very upset. Went as a group with some friends. My son is 4 and so is our friends son. We decided we wanted to do the Red and Green slides and prior to going up the steps we made sure our kids were tall enough ( Both kids are exactly right at 42 inches) We proceeded to the slides and we went down them multiple times. The 3rd time is when we started to have problems. The lifeguard was changed out to a young kid clearly under the age of 18. I went ahead of my son to ensure that I was at the bottom for him, but my son never came out the tube. I finally walked to the side so I could look up at the top and my son was (Again 4 years old) was walking back down the steps by himself. I met him about half way and walked all the way back up and asked the lifeguard what was going on. He told me that my son wasn't big enough to go down the slide. I told him that he is big enough. The lifeguard had me put my son next to the other height sign and he was probably about 4 inches too short and that I could go to the front desk and get a wrist band. The front desk took us out front to another sign which shows about an inch short maybe. My biggest complaint is that ALL yours signs aren't the same and they aren't correct on height because my son was measured at the drs office on June 12th and was 105 cm which puts him at 41.3386 inches over a month ago. Both kids did end up with a wrist, but I'm most upset about was the way that I was treated by the young staff, all 3 signs aren't the same and they aren't the correct height, and my kid was sent down all the stairs by himself without an adult. There wasn't any manager on duty from what I was told and relayed all this to one of the young supervisors that pretended to care but wasn't overly engaged in the problems but said he would bring it up at the next meeting they have.

A nice and large swimming pool and water slides. The kids had a great time. I went on a weekday, and it was fairly full. It was on the way to a river rafting trip. We drove back by on Saturday, and it looked very full. The other times in Lava Hot Spring were great. I recommend this, especially if you have children. Note, this is a pool. The hot springs are in a different spot in town.

We LOVE Lava Hot Springs. My family has gone almost yearly for over a decade and it’s well worth the trip from Salt Lake to spend the day. I’ve been with people ages 1.5 years - 70’s and we all enjoy it!
The lines for the slides get very long but move quickly so you don’t feel like you’re wasting time (and it’s SO worth the wait, very very fun).
The indoor kiddie splash space is shallow, warm, and fun.
I’d recommend getting there early and bringing an umbrella, canopy, etc for shade, but we spend so much time in the water we honestly hardly use it.
You still have to check-in at the facility for tickets bought online, I do wish they’d update that process but otherwise it’s pretty great overall!

Not really good has people think, pool water it's dirty with big flies, boogers swimming around, saliva and plus.. termal waters are better. No glass or alcohol. I'm OK with that but my baby bottles are glass and they did not let me take non even one bottle to feed my baby I had to go out to feed him and came back! Anyways never will go again .

The pool is lots of fun however don’t plan on purchasing food. The owner is very rude. She ignored us multiple times then refused to give us water. She doesn’t sell cups of water. One year she refused to let us order because she was about to close at 5pm. Absolutely demeaning and rude.

More than perfect! My 4 year old was just 2 inches too short for the swirly slides, but was able to get a wristband that allowed him to go on them! I wasn't able to go on the BIG slides, but everything else was great! I didn't purchase anything, but noticed that the prices weren't TOO outrageous. Inflated, yes, but not extravagantly so. This may be a new summer tradition!

We had a fantastic time here! At first sight, I thought it was going to be super crowded, long lines, and over-crowded pool. It was not. The pool outside is huge and has plenty of space for everyone! Then, there’s a pool inside, plus a heated kiddie area and a pretty small, crowded, hot tub(only downfall of this entire establishment). You’re able to bring in chairs, canopies, umbrellas, coolers (no glass or alcohol!!) and there’s plenty of grass area for everyone to set up and not walk over each other. We didn’t purchase food because we were able to bring in our own.
They have four water slides that are each different in their own way- kids loved them! The lines went pretty fast, and the lifeguards were focused to ensure safety the entire time. Outside, there are two lower diving boards, two high boards and then three levels of platforms you can jump off of(you have to sign a waver for these and receive a wrist band). I, personally, jumped off all three and each one was fun and exciting. Outside, there is also a smaller water slide and then a cute little frog slide for the much younger ones. They have two basketball hoops that kids were playing games on. Again- not feeling crowded at any time. Inside, the kids area is super fun for those little ones. There’s also another pool for swimming and another basketball hoop, plus a roped off area with another low diving board.
The dressing rooms and inside area are well mantained and they even have family dressing rooms with bigger areas.
It’s conveniently located right off the highway and is close to a market a short walk away. We did their family pass, so for 8 people it came to $66.
Overall, we really enjoyed the time at Lava with friends and family! I highly recommend this place for an enjoyable time!

It is a fun place for sure. Though the hot spring part costs 2/3 extra, and is blocks away from the pools and slides. Not sure exactly where it is but I didn't see it, and the roof of the building said 4 blocks with an arrow. I was looking forward to the hot springs but didn't pay the extra nor want to go that far. But the slides were alot of fun!

This place was very fun! There were 2 large pools and a smaller one for little kids. The indoor pool had a diving board, a lap lane, and a rock wall. The outdoor pool had 4 large slides, a large open swim area, 4 diving boards, and 3 levels of diving platforms. Everything here was kept incredibly clean and the pools were not too crowded. My favorite part was the platforms but all of it was great and I would recommend!

We travel to a lot of pools across the states and this specific pool is literally a joke! I was simply holding a ball (they rent out) for my nephew and got yelled at for HOLDING a ball in the hot tub. Like what?
Then, today (next day) two lifeguards come around asking if our tiny umbrella is staked into the lawn, which it was, maybe 4”. They then asked me to remove the umbrella. Never have we ever seen or heard such ridiculous rules at a pool.
My family and I will no longer be coming to Lava hot springs and specifically this pool for our family reunion anymore.
