I went to get gas and the machine did not accept my card then I went to see the cashier( he was tall and he had grey long beard and hair) and he was very rude and yelled at me. His talk was very racist. So I took my card and went to the next station to get gas and the gas was much cheaper too.

Three words: clean, pleasant, and quick. Stopped to use the bathroom and bought a couple of snacks for the road. The bathroom was very clean and the man in there was very nice ?

The guy offered my buddy a pair of pants to borrow for the day. Now that's customer service.

Stopped in to grab a soda grom their fountain and use the restroom. We ended up buying some stickers and snacks as well. Staff very nice. Only negative is the register is right by the restroom so it smells.

Extremely rude old drunk working behind the counter. Bought 19 dollars and 75 cents of stuff and paid with a hundred dollar bill and he gave me a quarter back and then completely went phsyco when I asked for the rest of my change. Slammed his cash register around until change went flying everywhere and screamed his head off that I gave him a twenty. Absolute nut case and needs to either be on meds or lay off the booze.

I love coming in to Henry's Lake Station! New owners have really fixed the place up. It's still a small family-owned business and you can tell. Kids running the registers in the summertime. Really great souvenirs they I haven't seen in other stores, and usually they have what in need for quick groceries. Would for sure recommend!

Was freezing cold on my motorcycle, and I came in and bought a few snacks. I asked if I could eat inside and warm up, and they brought a stool for me and told me to take my time and warm up. Extremely friendly staff, and I enjoyed our little conversations as I waited to stop shivering. Fuel prices are a bit higher here, but it is all Ethanol-free, so that probably is why.

I wish I would have read the review from James D. because we experienced who I'm assuming is the same man he mentioned (tall, burly white man with graying hair and a short graying beard). My dad, 71, went in before I did and bought some waters. I came in and that man was standing near my dad on the same side of the counter and a nice lady was ringing up my dad. I went to look for other things and could hear the man yammering on about something, obviously intoxicated, but harmless BS. Then I went to the front to pay for my items and that guy and another man were still kind of talking to my dad. My dad dropped something out of his pocket on the way to the door and the man asked if he wanted a bag and my dad said no, but then the guy started saying condescendingly, "Do you need help out to your car," all loudly, making fun of him. Then my dad just laughed and walked out the door and that man turned around and started hysterically laughing and the other guy did, too, like they were proud of themselves for making fun of a paying customer? Then I paid and was leaving and said it was nice they made fun of paying customers and may have called him an a**hole under my breath. We were filling up the car with gas (although we shouldn't have given them anymore of our money) when the lady came out and said my card didn't go through. I went back in and that man was hovering near me, saying they were about to call the authorities (let's say he was joking; after all, I'm "lucky enough" to be white so I guess I missed his racist streak). The lady ran my card again and the man was saying how she shouldn't let anyone go until the register drawer opens, adding, "not saying they aren't good people." What made it all really uncomfortable was that the guy was obviously loaded on either booze or something else. The other guy had more sense and went around and pushed a button the lady hadn't so my purchase went through. I thanked her, and as I was leaving, I said "Feel free to talk about me when I leave," but she was the only one who heard and laughed nervously. For a town of a little over 200 people, you'd think business owners (like that guy, I'm assuming) would have the sense to be nice to people supporting their businesses. Another guy at a bait and tackle place on Hwy 20 asked my dad where he was from because he had shorts on and it is cold. When my dad said California, he got really smart mouthed and was a d*ck. Again, funny that a guy who had NO customers in his shop and six employees would think it was necessary to comment on something like that. Luckily the three younger boys working there were really sweet and friendly. I thought small towns were supposed to be filled with nice people, but apparently some owners in Island Park don't care if their businesses stay afloat.

All the reviews of rude clerks are spot on. Very unwelcoming, and only one restroom “available”. Added quotes because they say it’s for paying customers only, and they expect EVERYONE IN YOUR PARTY to buy something. Just drive a couple more minutes into town for a gas station. Trust me, it’s worth it

Absolutely a disgraceful owner/manager. Bought over 100 dollars worth of fuel. Asked where the restrooms were and I was informed that he wasn't running a rest area. Such a shameful place. Absolutely disgusting. Interior is disgusting and outdated fuel is outrageously expensive. This place puts such a beautiful area to an absolute disgrace. Shame on the owner/manager of what a disgusting human you are. Also stop checking out the children coming into your store.
