I used to LOVE this place. The man that used to help us was so kind and knowledgeable and I loved shopping local. My last experience here was so disappointing, though. A friend and I came in and had our small children and from the second we walked in, the older woman working there made me feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable. We did not let the kids get on any furniture but they were being toddlers and were noisy and had to be continually monitored to keep them off things. She followed us very closely and maintained a look of extreme irritation, answering my questions with a clipped tone, and letting little noises of disapproval slip when we had to correct the kids’ if they were trying to touch something. We left after 5 minutes or so because she made us feel so awkward.I understand small children can be annoying in public given that they haven’t learned how to regulate themselves yet, but I am on top of my kids’ behavior, and beyond that, I was in a family furniture store to purchase a couch for my family - which includes my children.This place was amazing outside of this experience, but she made such an effort to make us feel unwelcome that I doubt we will ever go back.
