My dog was suffering from a ruptured tumor. Her regular vet was unable to get her in and she was in a lot of pain. I called and luckily they had a spot open to get her in. It was super lucky because after her exam, I went home and noticed her tumor getting worse. I sent an email just to see if maybe they had a cream that would help the pain. In the morning they contacted me and got her in for emergency surgery. They saved my dog and I am so grateful for them. You can tell that they truly care about the animals they help. I am so impressed and will be taking my dog from now on.

The team here handled our reactive dog with amazing care. We've seen a lot of different vets over his 9 years of life and have never felt understood or as safe as they were able to make us feel. There was constant communication between the team and myself I feel like I was never left not knowing what they wanted from me in handling our dog.

This past 4th of July was one of the saddest in my lifetime. And every day since. July 3rd we took Bullit (Bully) our 9yr old miniature schnauzer, who for the past four yrs has thrived and loves life despite being diabetic. Receiving insulin shots twice a day, And was slowly losing her eyesight because of this disease. But Bully loved being here, was very comfortable with her home and surroundings. She especially loved Linz who doted over Bully, bathing, giving her haircuts, getting sweaters or jackets for her. Bully had a couple of teeth on one side that were abscessed affecting her ability to eat dry food. Lindsey and I both work so her daughter took Bullit into Skyline Animal and DENTAL Hospital. She called me from there that morning. I had given her a check and said I'd spend 500 dollars. Dr Peterson said he couldn't do anything for her for that amount. So he charged us 1, 274.oo dollars pulled 15 teeth most of them not even having cavities. (He sent the teeth all in a bottle home with her) When the office called her to pick up Bully Dr Peterson had already left for the day. She was given no special care instructions. The Dr had talked to Lindsey over the phone, told her all had went really well. To give her the prescribed pain medication and after a couple of days she would recover and soon be feeling and acting like a 5 yr old child. He even went so far as to say he wouldn't be surprised if we didn't end up cutting her insulin by half. We hadn't given her any insulin that day. The next day having not eaten anything for 2 days we were mixing her food in a blender and feeding her with a baster I gave her 1 half of 1 of her normal insulin shots. By evening she wasnt doing well at all. She was going off under the deck and out under our pine trees trying to be alone. Linz tried calling skylines emergency # but only got a recording with a number to call that was another recording for a vets office in Utah. I'm having a really hard time writing this. So I'll just say I knew why Bully wanted to find a place to be alone. She knew from the time she got home that she was dying. I mean really pulling 15 teeth most of them just fine, in a small breed dog that already suffers from diabetes. All at one time and not keep them overnight for observation. Let alone not leave us with a legitimate phone # to call. All I can say is Dr Peterson I hope that you enjoyed the nice long 4th of July weekend.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Dr.Fletcher, Dr.Petersen, and all of the wonderful people that you have in your office at Skyline Animal Hospital. Our 10 year old dog visits you, and you have always treated him and us with such compassion and care and communicated so well with us. We moved here almost two years ago, and our neighbor recommended Dr. Petersen and said he was worth driving all the way across town to see. He helped our dog with his dental issues and ear infections, and has been wonderful, thorough, and caring with him. When our little guy started seeming a bit off a few weeks ago, lethargic, not wanting to eat, and not himself at all, we came in and saw Dr. Fletcher. She recommended bloodwork and x-rays, and sent us to another clinic to get an ultrasound. Our sweet boy had a big mass on his spleen and needed to have it removed quickly so it didn’t rupture. Dr. Fletcher was able to perform the surgery almost immediately after the ultrasound, and we were informed of all the risks and options. After the surgery, she called us right away to let us know that she was able to get all of the mass removed, as well as the spleen, and that we could take him home to rest and recover that afternoon. She and the staff explained the medications to us, and were so kind and caring with all of us, including answering any questions I had after the operation! He had a rough couple of days after the surgery, but perked up, started wanting food, and has started acting so much happier and like his old self!! We just had his staples removed today, and everyone there was so kind and sweet. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for saving our little friend and giving us more time with him. We highly recommend Skyline Animal Hospital!

We brought in Shop Cat to get his vaccination. We were a bit early and they brought us right in, paid attention to Shop Cat with scratches and kind words, and we were out within a few minutes and on our way. He was all ready to go to Skyline Animal Hospital and see his favorite Dr.

Dr. Fletcher has a heart of gold! I couldn't ask for a more compassionate vet ? ? We would be at a loss without her. The office staff is exceptional as well.

Skyline vet was amazing in my time of need! I live in Rexburg with my two French Bulldogs. My female decided to jump on the bed while I had the ramp pulled away for vacuuming. Landed funny and hurt her back. She squawked and then seemed fine after calming down. I had her sleep in her kennel that night.
The next morning she was dragging her back legs! I started calling every vet between st Anthony and idaho fall as they opened! Everyone was booked or double booked! Every call I made I got more discouraged. Finally I got to skyline on the list they were able to get me in within the hour.
Doctor fletcher and her team made my girl and I feel comfortable and she explained everything she did.
I left feeling like a 1000 lb brick was lifted off my chest and could breath for the first time in 12 hours.
I will be making the switch to them for the care of both my dogs! Even with the drive!

I love Skyline Animal Hospital. After a bad experience with my previous vet I moved over to Skyline and have not looked back. Level of care is high and cost is very reasonable in my experience. Moving over to Skyline Animal Hospital made me realized I’d been going to a pricey vet for longer than I care to admit.
All of my dogs are rescues who have had a variety of bad experiences with humans in their past. Everyone at Skyline Animal Hospital goes at whatever pace my pups need. They take the time every appointment to ensure that their visits to the Dr won’t be another traumatic thing in their lives. In addition I bring all of my foster dogs to Skyline Animal Hospital. They give the same level of care and attention to each of them.
One of my senior rescues got a pretty gnarly eye injury soon after adopting him. When I called for a same day appointment for him (I am a repeat offender with same day requests) they easily found a time to fit him in. Dr. Peterson examined my pup and gave me the full menu of options. He has a huge network of vets with different specialties and he got me in with an eye specialist in Salt Lake City the same week. He then set it up so I could do all of my post procedure appointments with him. Saved me on time, gas, and money. My little Potato dog is doing great now and didn’t lose his eye thanks to my favorite vets.

Dr Peterson is the BEST!! Very knowledgeable and amazing vet!!
We had a kitty who had been having trouble with her teeth for a bit, our previous vets recommended nothing more than cleanings(which we did). Dr P immediately noticed she not only had misaligned teeth, but also stomitosis-common in Siberian cats & Bella is a triple coated Siberian mix(ie why did no other vet, in 2 different states, notice? Would have definitely saved our kitty lots of suffering & excessive shedding!!).
She needed surgery to remove all her teeth. I knew we were in good hands, Dr P's knowledge was nearly encyclopedic! Doc cleared his schedule, even switching with another vet & made room for her, despite it being right around the Christmas holiday.
Our Bella has been like a whole new cat!! She plays again & it's like she is a young kitty again :-) Bella happens to own my 12yo autistic daughter-who has been ecstatic that her baby is active and alert again(Bella had gotten to the point of sleeping 22+h/day, sad times!) DD said it was the best present she could have gotten!! She was more impressed with her kitty than any physical gift she was given this year!
I will say that I think the post-op pain management was a bit less than maybe it should/could have been(she was given a 1-a-day anti-inflammatory for 3d, we have been given similar for a cleaning & this was a MUCH bigger deal/far more invasive than a cleaning)-and she seemed to struggle a bit for the first week or so, it was pretty bad, I cried w/her a few nights. However I also know every doc, including vets, are being watched so closely and these are unfortunately just the times we live in, so I'm not sure if it is 100% on Dr P here, maybe more on society as a whole?
Very happy to have found such a great vet so quickly after moving to IDF-and on our first try ?

We moved to Idaho in July of 2023, so while we did not know Dr. Fletcher, her nursing team, Dr. Peterson, or Skyline staff long, they all treated my girl Kiwi and I like family.
They quickly learned I was willing to do anything and everything for her. They respected that devotion and were always able to help examine her and test her when anything was slightly off with her health. And refer us to the best surgeon in town to repair her ligament tear, which was a great success!
After an emergency surgery post operative complication at West Vet... Kiwi was dying. Dr. Fletcher at Skyline Vet Hospital and her nursing team helped me say goodbye to my best friend quickly, knowing the severity of the circumstances. The compassion they showed me, my fiancé, and our pup was truly touching. I am most thankful they were able to help accommodate our request in our time of need. And her rosewood urn is absolutely stunning.
Dr. Fletcher is now helping he with my hyperthyroid cat, and we hope her prescription food helps her thyroid levels equal out soon. If you want a hospital that treats you and your pets like family, look no further.
