Our great doctor (Alyssa) left and she was the only reason we were still there. I was going to leave a detailed review with screenshots and audio of messages and voicemails from over the years. These messages of why we only stayed because of her and her wonderful nurse show reasons that led up to us leaving within 3 months of her last visit. If I need to defend this reasoning I will post all. Needless to say the last straw was a complaint to a nurse of the doctor who gave a lab result but had no further info for my husband to do to continue to figure out with a specialist why he was in severe pain even after a negative test and 5 days of kidney stone med, on what the doctor thought was wrong. I was worried and upset (based on previous experiences when our doctor want there) I told her to ask the new doctor what specialists we could see for pain in that area and that the previous doctors nurse always called to let us know results and what to do next. And that we were used to that and were thinking we would leave the practice if this other care continued. Alex only go back to us days later (my husband was still in pain) she left a voicemail (I have visual and audio of) says they would like to know where to send our records. No follow up on his pain, no referral from the doctor for further help. Which showed exactly why we were upset in the first place. I called and let front desk know and asked if this meant they would just not do our care now because he needed and I needed a refill on scripts. She told us no of course they would continue care. Meanwhile we researched and found Dr Payne at another clinic and made a new patient appt. For days after that I got calls from Family First to call and I did only to be told they were busy. I called 20 mins after Alex message too because I couldn’t believe the doctor was told he was still in pain and we requested a referral or further help (as I told the nurse who had called with lab results). I finally gave up after calling back three times to their calls and we moved our records. Alyssa Jenkins and her nurse Indie did excellent care and were a great team!!! We didn’t receive the same care and maybe the bar of care was higher. She also always called in scripts within the day and never once said they would be pushed through (like after surgery and to go to Sams and it would be done within an hour) and not do that. When she wasn’t there I waited in pain at Sams they called also and never got done until the following Monday. (I have the screenshot message about that too). It got to the point that we knew her days off and tried not to ask for any care from anyone else or scripts. Or not to expect her standard of care. To have a nurse not ask the doctor for further care while my husband was in pain or a referral or any info and instead leave only a message days later that said “we’d like to know where to send your records” was inexcusable and certainly not a doctors care we had in Vermont or from Alyssa. At the time the tech at the pharmacy said they often have issues when leaving messages on the nurses line from them and not getting follow through. There was also an incident while I was in the ER and the ER being told by family first a test as sent over of heart stress test I had previously, they didn’t get. The ER was frustrated and a few hours later my husband went there (drove)and was told by the front desk they don’t know why anyone told the ER a result was sent to them because they didn’t have it and would have to request from the place my doctor had ordered the stress test. My doctor wasn’t there that time either. These are a few examples. The last being incredibly frustrating in my husband’s care and the last straw. We have since seen Dr Payne and the office, nurse, Dr all did a great job. We felt completely at ease. They explained all of their protocols and they match the type of care we received from Alyssa. After she left I don’t not recommend family first. But I do recommend East Falls Family medical with Dr Payne. We are happy now with them.

Dr. Tyson has been me PA since I was little girl in Ashton ID, when I found out where he was practicing medicine here in Idaho Falls I switched over to him. His whole crew are great people and the physical department is great too. Sarah and Candince have been really helpful and informative during my Pysical therapy. Would highly recommend going here whether it's individual or Family.

They were quick to get me scheduled and the process to get scheduled was easy. The front desk staff were really nice and inviting. Shelley was amazing to work with and made me feel comfortable during my visit. She listened to my concerns and explained in detail on how to address my concerns. I highly recommend this office. They make me feel less scared to go to the doctors now.
