It has been way too long since we've visited this unique market. The pine trees really make the experience special. They have a great mix of crafts, veg, bakery, meats, etc., and unlike other Panhandle markets we've been to, the whole place is filled with happy folks. Real nice grandstand for the local performers, as well. Thankfully, the businesses around it allow parking in their dormant lots on a Sat AM, and that's definitely a credit to the market organizers to get that important support. This is the best time to go during the calendar year, so don't waste another weekend. You'll miss this in the Winter...

Great location under the pine trees and in the coned of Prairie and Hwy 95. Parking is usually available without too much of a walk. Good selections of produce from local and regional farmers, great bread and pie folks. Live music and fun selections of food and drink. Super friendly atmosphere.

This Rite Aid has the dirtiest restroom I've ever seen. I've used the pharmacy for quit awhile, but this day was the first time using the restroom. I'm talking red mold when something hasn't been cleaned for month, even when washing hands you can't get out of there without touching dirty facets, towel holder, walls, door etc.. The pharmacist isn't the friendliest, but he just may not be a happy person with himself. I can deal with that, but seeing the restroom I now have my doubts on the cleanness of the pharmacy. These employees have to be using the restroom and then come back and handle our prescriptions. I won't be going back

Except for the parking problem, this is one of the best Farmer's Markets in the Western USA.

Great little farmers market with a lot of fresh food vendors! The market consists of flower, food, dry goods, coffee, honey, plants and vegetable vendors. Great little market to go to on the weekend with the family or friends!

This is what a Farmer's Market should look and feel like. Live music, beautiful produce, excellent vendor selection, activities for kids (scarecrow stuffing and pumpkins painting when we visited) and great smelling food! The coin redemption system works well for both buyers and vendors alike. Great fun!

We love this Farmer's Market! We live in Spokane, but it is worth the drive on Saturday morning to visit this market. There are multiple vendors serving breakfast/lunch. There are a variety of vendors from meat, coffee, pasta, jams, based goods, produce, plants to craft items such as soap, planters, etc. There is music playing and tables where you may eat your purchases. The only downside is that there is bark to walk on so you may want to consider what type of shoes you wear! My flip-flops don't really enjoy the bark. You can always find parking, but you might have to a bit. Nice fun atmosphere. Most of these vendors also do a winter event during the holidays at the fairgrounds which is also a good event.

Fresh produce, baked bread and live music at this place Kombucha so tasty you'll want to buy a case Beef dip the best with crafts we were impressed But arrive early if you want a decent parking space A young woman with skills to create her own fancy fountain pens by hand greeted us at a booth near where we entered the tree encapsulated, grassy floored outdoor market. On a late June Saturday the market was buzzing with those restocking on their weekly organic produce and families enjoying the musical performance along with festive food. After perusing the plants and perishables, we suggest you grab a sandwich from the vendor tucked in the back corner, compliment the dip with a nearby Italian ice, and lend your ears to the live entertainment as the energy is as fresh and revitalizing as the products themselves.

I went in June looking for produce and I found one person selling one item and one person selling two items-all the other booths were crafts and ready-made food and drink. I was very disappointed.

I wish we had farmers markets as good as this one where I live. We were traveling through so couldn't buy a lot of the perishables; but, we did get some delicious peaches and plums for the road though. There was so much variety!

Would loved to have brought my business and money here. Couldn't though. Since, I believe in the US Constitution and all of its amendments. If this place isn't in support of one of them, I will go elsewhere. I'm sure criminals will DEFINITELY take heed of your sign and come unarmed.

Just moved into the area last September. Caught the very last Saturday of that Season in October. Have been looking forward to returning ever since. Today's visit was full of color, flourishing freshness, and delightful aromas. Something else I have been anxiously awaiting was quenched today. Nitro & Vietnamese Cold Brew. Met some wonderful people Vending their wares as well. Lots of variety from fresh produce, to scratch made breads, essential lavender oil and plants, local hand made jewelry, organic everything, huckleberry goodies etc. If you have not been or it has been awhile? Plan to go one of the next several Saturdays while there are offerings. OR if you can't make it to the Saturday market at the corner of the 95 and Prairie in Hayden from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Go to the Wednesday evening on 5th and Sherman from 4:00-6:00 in the beautifully artsy Cda!

I have been traveling the U.S. for a year now and have made a valiant effort to hit every local farmers market I can. The Kootenai County Farmer's Market was hands down one of the best I have experienced in a long while. There had to be at least 20+ vendors with a mix of organic produce, meats, bakers, dairy, and unusual crafts. My interest is usually in the local fresh produce and Kootenai had more than a few vendors to choose from. A good summer tomato is the holy grail and this market delivered! So often it's been my experience that local farmers markets are either heavily weighted in crafts and very little produce OR they have produce vendors that are passing off wholesaled fruit and vegies instead of ones that are local grown. You guys know what I'm talking about. Those hard, smell free tomato imposters! No worries about that here!! Pulling in after 9am the parking lot surrounding this market location is already packed with families, couples, and singles. That is always a good sign. BTW a great location and really nice grounds enhanced the experience. They also offered some great food to enjoy while doing your marketing. I wanted to try them all, but ended up selecting Coeur de Breizh crepe truck. It was YUMMYX3! So if you are visiting Coeur D'Alene make sure your search out this farmers market, you'll be SO glad you did!
