I am an existing customer and sent an inquiry to this company on 8/8/2023 asking for paperwork to fill out for pre-approval purpose on purchasing a home. My contact said she forwarded my information to the real estate group on 8/9/2023 and let me know they are very busy and if I did not hear anything in one week, to give them a call. One week went by with no further communication, so I called and was informed they are two weeks out due to being so busy, but someone would get back to me. Another week went by with no communication, so I called again on 8/25/2023 and was told the following: real estate group does not take phone calls, they are too busy, two weeks wait is not correct, it is longer, yes my information was passed to real estate group, no you can't speak to a manager as they are too busy, but Manager will call back. Then, after all of this, she proceeded to hand up on my. Again, no further communication so I called again on 8/29/2023 only to find out my information did not get passed along, nor did a Manager receive a notification to call me. I spoke with a Supervisor or Manager, and repeated my story, along with letting her know that due to their lack of response, we missed a possible opportunity to bid on the home we were looking at, as sale was pending two weeks ago. She was not very empathetic but said she would send paperwork to me that same day if I so wished. I asked her to proceed and gave her my email address and phone number. I have still not received paperwork, and at this point, give up. As a person who has been in customer service for over 25 years and manages a group of customer service representatives, it is truly unbelievable how this business treats their customers. If any of these people were my employee, they would have been written up or fired long ago. Think twice before doing business with this company. I would give ZERO star rating but we have to choose at least one star.

They change stipulations as they see fit. No transparency ever. Better lenders with better rates out there

I worked with an amazing representative Felicity. My son was buying his first home and Felicity was so quick, knowledgeable, and the transaction was seamless. I have a construction company and I’m a realtor and in the 25 years I have been in this business, I have never had a bank and representative operate as efficiently as they have. I look forward to my next transaction with them.

Freedom NW CU has been nothing short of amazing for many of my clients purchasing rural property, but I have also used them personally and received nothing but amazing customer service. Thank you Freedom for making the process so simple. Highly recommend if you are looking to buy vacant land and or rural properties.

Would recommend this bank for any loan. The customer service is outstanding and the loan process was simple. Great communication and low stress through the whole process. We are going to stay at this bank for all our loan needs!!

I am on my second home loan with Freedom Northwest, and they have been GREAT! The title company said it was the fastest easiest closing they have ever had! These guys no what they are doing. I will recommend them to everyone! Thanks for the hard work.

My husband and I have used Freedom Northwest Credit Union for several of our loans (Two home loans, one home equity, and one mobile home). Each time we worked with Mariah Cooper. She made the experience so fast and easy for us on each loan. Every single time we signed with Kootenai Title they have said that FNWCU was the easiest and quickest bank they have ever worked with; and the least amount of paperwork! They also do loans on land and mobile homes which hardly any bank out there does. I highly recommend considering them when searching for a loan!

If you are looking to get a loan on commercial Real Estate I would look elsewhere. From day 1 trying to work with FNCU has been a huge disappointment. I should of known that when I spoke with the Loan officer who couldn't get me an email with the Loan application in it the same day that it wasn't going to be good. From that point on it was mostly a waiting game. We tried reaching out multiple times and didn't get a response for days from the loan officer. 18 days from start t

If you are looking to get a loan on commercial Real Estate I would look elsewhere. From day 1 trying to work with FNCU has been a huge disappointment. I should of known that when I spoke with the Loan officer who couldn't get me an email with the Loan application in it the same day that it wasn't going to be good. From that point on it was mostly a waiting game. We tried reaching out multiple times and didn't get a response for days from the loan officer. 18 days from start to finish is how long it took for the Loan office to tell me what I had been asking from the very start. By this time the CRE we were trying to get the loan on had already received an offer, counter offered and received and accepted another counter offer. We didn't even have a chance. I also called the Lewiston branch and left a voicemail with the branch manager and never got a call back. Most unprofessional credit union i have ever tried to deal with. Like I said in the beginning, if you are looking to get a loan I would look somewhere else. With todays market no one can wait 18 days.

They appear to do whatever they can to screw you out of money. I would NOT recommend them for a home loan. You would be better off going to someone who is at least honest about how they are going to take advantage of you.

Definitely would not recommend if you are in the market for a home loan. We applied for a home loan about 3 weeks ago, and pulling teeth is less painful than trying to get a hold of anybody here. With the market we are in, we were in need of a lender who would work quickly and keep us in the loop so we could be ready to move in this market. After they let us know that we were approved, we were never informed the next steps, the amount we were approved for, or when it would be available.Even though I have sent multiple emails I STILL have not heard back from anybody to finish our loan. They never asked for any information from us like bank statements, paystubs, taxes. How can you approve somebody for a loan without any of this information?We have had multiple properties slip through because the lack of service from this bank. It has been nothing but a waste of time from them.
