As the end of boating season approaches I called to get my boat winterized. I was welcomed or should I say turned away by a very rude conversation with the owner of the facility. Also a giant ordeal I was finally able to get them to winterize my pontoon boat. When I arrived to drop my boat off I wore a mask because I was unsure of the companies policy and was trying to be respectful and cautious due to the rise in Covid cases in our area. I was greeted with many strange looks and when I was done dropping off my boat I could hear not only the workers but the owner as well bashing on me for wearing a mask. It was very frustrating to have a business bash on their paying customer who are trying to keep themselves and others safe during this horrible pandemic.

This is a difficult review for me to write and it has taken me long to do so but I feel it is necessary for the health and safety of our community. My husband and I recently bought a house on lake Coeur ‘d Alene and we dropped our boat off at Harrison Boat Storage to be winterized. When we dropped it off, we wore our masks and assumed because of the pandemic and the recommendations made by the CDC, that the employees and owner would also being wearing masks. They were not. I verbally expressed my concern, asking them to consider wearing them because my husband was recently told he was “cancer free” by his doctor and had little to no immune system. Unfortunately, this did nothing to change their minds. My husband, as the respectful man he was, shook the owners hand as we left. Two weeks later my husband went to get a covid test because he was starting to develop a cough and sore throat. He lost his taste of smell shortly there after. In December of 2020 I lost my husband to covid. He became sick two weeks after shaking a man hand who had no respect for his well being. I will not be recommending Harrison Boat Storage to anyone. They do not take Covid19 seriously nor will they go to any lengths to protect their customers.

Do not take your $60K Plus new boat to have them service or store your boat! They've ruined my trailer and destroyed my boat cover and said it was an act of god since they left it outside in a torrential downpour. I've had nothing but issues so you've been warned. I can send photos upon request.

As spring approaches I am reminded of my past negative experience with this company. When I called to order my boat For a summer delivery I was met with no problem of intended delivery. A call a few weeks before the important date of my son retiring home from deployment and enjoying a little Rest and Relaxing at his favorite lake. I was stricken with the news that the policy of 30 plus years had changed and I may not get my boat until mid or late July. Thinking this was wrong I contacted the local Better Business , Sharifs department with no help. Desperate I tried to go to small clams court and was turned away to civil court. Facing a long and costly battle I relinquished the news to my son no boat. As a good navy man would he said I’ll get more time on a boat latter. March April May June July came and went with I can’t find your trailer and will get to you at the end of the season I got my boat on the water. Son gone back defending us from oppression and tear-any freedom. Gone the dignity of being treated with a little respect of thirty years of business. Gone the returning business of seasonal storage. Slapped in the face with a new owners policy of ordering Your boat. Don’t support this company of greed vs loyalty.

So poor been trying to get my boat for three weeks and they come up with excuses . The quality of their work has really declined on the last 25 years. Even with a bill paid in full they won't release my boat. What kind of business does that ? I would not recommend HBS to any one. Jeff
