I went in to check the setting a ring I received as an heirloom, to make sure the stone wasn't loose. They said my stone was so loose that I shouldn't wear it out. When I asked how much it would be to secure the setting and fix the prongs they said $250 and 4 weeks while they sent it out to be fixed. I took my ring back and said I needed to think on it because that was a good chunk of money. She was upset but handed my ring back. I went for a second opinion to a local jewelers, Lee Reads. I told them that my stone was loose, according to Fred Meyer Jewelers. The associate pulled up on the screen the microscope so I could see her check it... my stone was NOT loose... and my prongs were fine. She said maybe 2-5 years they would need to be redone. I asked how much it would cost to get that done and let me tell you, it was LESS THAN HALF of what FMJ told me! I asked how much time it would take... 2 weeks at the most, AND my ring stays in house. I'm highly disappointed in FMJ for not only LYING to me, but trying to charge me an insane amount of money to "fix" my ring. Awful!! If you take your jewelry there, please do yourself a favor and get a second opinion!!!!

Terrible customer service. Had to wait even though no one else was there. She treated me like I had no money and was rude. Most of the gems are lab created so be careful.

Salesman lied to me about the credit card and pricing. Was told the total would be about 3/4 of what he put on the card. Very dishonest would not recommend I’ve been dealing with corporate for weeks trying to fix his “quick easy” sale

Matt at the Chinden location is amazing! He's polite and courteous and able to understand my rambling's and concerns as well as obsessiveness about my wedding ring being PERFECT! He went out of his way to order my wedding band, which was actually out of distribution. He made a few phone calls, and is retrieving the cast for the wrap, and is charging me $500 less for the wedding band! He was super easy to work with and is even naming his daughter after mine! What a SWEETHEART! Great Job Matt! Lori and Jim are also INCREDIBLE to work with. They are both extremely understanding and patient and help fit the perfect ring! I appreciate you guys so much! Thank you!!!

$15-$20 for a watch battery that is just to much, they act like it was an in convenience to do it when there was no other people in the store.
