Shelly has been a great property manager since I have lived here! She has always been very friendly, accommodating and willing to offer assistance anytime asked. I have truly appreciated everything she has done for me, and will forever be grateful for her.As far as those that have left bad reviews....take it with a grain of salt. From what I can tell and have observed since living here, the only time people seem to have issues are when they aren't following the rules or the terms of their lease. Seems pretty cut and dry to me... Break the rules and suffer the consequences. Management isn't to blame for a tenant not following the terms of their lease, yet she tends to get a lot of negative comments for doing her job to keep the complex a safe space. Overall this has been a great place for my kids and I and Shelly has been nothing but kind to me.

I have live at the Aspen Grove Apartments for many many years. I know that different tenants think different ways about the apartments and the treatment they see or get from the present management. I have first hand knowledge of what the old owner/ management was like and the rules that had to be followed, as well as the condition of the buildings and the safety and security of the complex. I know too of the new owners/ and current manager of the property, and how they have made better both the security and safety of the place as well as having improved the buildings by refurbishing them. The same rules apply now as then, and there is a level of compliance that has to be made by the tenants to follow their lease agreements. Having said that I know that many are put off by what they see as a rude demeanor of the current manager, but I see a woman who is continually bombarded by tenants wanting her help on matters on a daily basis. Not to mention also the number of applicants that come in off the street to fill out an application for any open apartment available. People must know that the apartments are very popular to live at for affordable housing, but there is a list of requirements that have to be met by the applicant to even live here. It all takes time and once the manager sends in the application to corporate, as well as verifies all the information given on those papers, well you cannot fault the manager for taking so long to getting back in touch with you as to whether or not you get to move into the complex. I was lucky enough to qualify years ago, and I know that the standards and requirements now are much stricter. I hope that people come to appreciate how hard it is to take care of the current tenants and make sure they are abiding by the rules of the complex, as well as keeping them safe and secure in the process. Had I been living in another apartment complex, I don't think I would feel as comfortable as I do at Aspen Grove. With my declining health and physical prowess I am under greater duress and the manager Shelly had helped me in any way she could to make my apartment as accessible as possible to me. I appreciate being able to talk to her at any time and should an emergency arise I know for a fact that she is right there to help. So if you should ever get lucky enough to live at the Aspen Grove Apartments you will not regret it. Just remember that there is always two sides to every story or situation, and one should not judge, from hearing just one side.

This place was very much a blessing for my family. Coming into our apartment with literally nothing and now a few years later owning my own home three car and a motorcycle. These places are literally there to help. Shelly made this possible for us. She know how to really work with people who are struggling and just need to start somewhere. Yes she is a tough landlord but in my experience it was well worth it. She always made sure to treat everyone equally. She is one of the most incredible landlords when you are doing things by her companies policy. This is a stepping stone for improving your life. For our family Shelly gave us direction to improve our new life and for that im forever grateful.

Avoid it! They don't care about the safety of there tenants. The stairs are all cracked. I've had 3 break on me. All the rest of the stairs also have cracks all over them. Instead of them replacing all the stairs at once they fix them as they break.

Ok, this place is nice to look at but I think that getting a place here would be the WORST thing to do. I lived there for 10 YEARS, the manager (Shelly) is a b***h and always drunk. Doesn't like you unless you kiss her a**. Then puts you on SANITATION PROBATION. Goes into your apartment whenever she wants. DISRESPECTFUL and HEARTLESS because it's HER APARTMENTS! You'll REGRET ever living there as long as she's there. The ONLY REASON I go back there is to see my BEST FRIEND!

I just moved out of these horrible apts because of the landlord...and her snitches...I made a complaint against her and nothing was done...She wrongfully accused me of having a guest staying with me and confronted me in the parking lot of the apts in front of my friend. She also brought up personal information in front of my friend when all this should have been discussed in her office. She also has her boytoy take pics of vehicles that aren't even in the apt parking lot so she can accuse people of having guests living there...And nothing happens to her!?!?!?...really??To top it all off, they screw me out of my deposit!!...

If giving 0 stars was an option I would be thrilled. The management will gladly take your money for an application.. But then blow you off and never contact you again. Applying here is a waste of time and money. We had to keep calling them for updates and they would keep giving us excuses ( and also major unwarranted attitude ). They blatantly lied to us and said that they were in the middle of calling our references, but when I personally checked the next day none of the references got a call from this complex. They are rude, unprofessional and should not own an apartment complex because they clearly hate communicating and dealing with people.

I hate how the manager was suppose to contact me about me getting into an apartment there and she said it was going to take corporate up to 10 days, for her to know, and here its been a full month and a half I had to call her to find out the answer after telling that corporate hasnt gotten back to her, luckily I found a place but its disappointing that managers do a crappy job
