When our local repairman said he had 37 calls ahead of us, I called Mager Bargains. Jon and his son Sam showed up few days later! They did a great job on my refrigerator repair! They also sell good used appliances. Give them a call.

We got a sales pitch how older washer and dryers are better made than the newer ones. He's a very good salesman and convincing. We paid in cash. The washer and dryer were delivered shortly thereafter. The dryer had to be uninstalled the same evening because one of the rollers was defective. The washer wasn't installed properly and leaked all over the laundry room floor the next morning before I went to work. Didn't handle concerns in a professional manner; when I expressed concern over other negative reviews on here, the owner was triggered and I was quite doubtful we'd even get a refund. The workers he's hired all seem very kind, though and said they would talk to him on my behalf. I credit getting the refund to them.I know some reviews on here say this is a good, honest business but our experience was otherwise. Please be cautious. I don't know enough about the man to speak for his character, personally. As I'm not from Cottonwood and only lived here a short time.But it's overpriced for used applicances that don't work. We're very happy with the brand new washer and dryer we got in Lewiston and the folks were much more professional (Deranaleaus). I'm not bitter about this ordeal... I just hope those who choose do business here don't have to go through what we did.Some folks probably hesitant to post any negative review because it's such a small community and everyone knows the Magers.Sorry if this offends anyone. Just sharing our experience. Even businesses in a rural community should know when they need to step up their game.I'm glad they are praying every morning before they start now. But seriously...businesses who identify as "Christian" should be more careful of their witness. One thing to say all the right words, another to live it out.

We bought a used freezer from them. The owner is a very nice,honest Christian man. They always have a prayer meeting before they start business for the day. That's rare but very admirable.

John and his crew are seriously some of the nicest and most helpful people I've ever dealt with. They do a good job, they offer good prices, they never try to rip you off, and they try to find a solution no matter what your problem. They truly care about and value their customers. they are far more than just appliance repair. Be sure to check out their selection and other services. John has helped me out in a bind more than once. He also goes above and beyond and exhibits true love and compassion for others. He walks the walk. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Very unprofessional. The owner texted my wife, "You say you have a clean house but there was enough dog hair in the washer for a dead dog". I can't imagine getting a text like this from Sears or Home Depot. If the owner listen half as much as he talks our problem might have been resolved. I won't recommend or buy from them again. Sad because I like to support small businesses.
