They were pleasant and helpful. The Postmaster showed care and concern for my issues. I appreciated their efforts.

This office is in shambles, absolute joke. I wanted some questions answered about acceptable forms of ID for passport services, and when I called the lady took my questions but didn't know the answer and put me on hold. She then told me there was a line and I'd receive a call back. Ok, no problem. I waited 4 HOURS with no callback. I then proceeded to call no less than 20 times, each time being forced to listen to the minute and a half long automated message, then listen to the phone ring with nobody picking up. This office is severely mismanaged/understaffed, and the taxpayers of Coeur d'Alene should demand better. I finally called the next closest office all the way in Spokane Valley, where my call was immediately received and my questions answered. Shame on you Coeur d'Alene, how are we losing to Spokane?!

So I pay for a small mailbox, when a larger package is delivered it is supposed to either be held in back and they let you know with a card to let you know, or if it will fit they put it in a lockbox and put the key in your little mailbox, simple right? Not for these people, either they dont put the key in my mailbox even though the package is in fact in a lockbox or they deny that the package is at the post office but after numerous trips, showing them the tracking number eventually it is suddenly found and usually many many days after it arrived at the post office. The desk clerks are basically dead to the world, overpaid and lazy. The supervisor who when it comes down to it is at fault told me, "well we have a trainee back there" I said so? who is training her? I could train my dog to do that job. The manager should, no, all of them should be fired, idiots. Have a nice day.

I’ve tried to call 64 times between Friday and then again today (Monday)I’ve called the main line, cda office, and the annex, all of which made me listen to the automated garbage and then dropping my line without successfully getting me on the line with a person. This level of unprofessionalism from a govt building is INSANE. I got a slip in the mail saying my change of address wasn’t valid, even though I did it IN THE POST OFFICE. ( this is after another event, in which they refused to reroute my mail) and now they’re threatening to send my packages back if I don’t go get them. I don’t have a vehicle, that’s why I bought ts online in the first place. I’m absolutely shocked how garbage I’ve been treated this entire time, by every employee, when I’m just trying to get things sorted out.

Good service, but they didn't have the stamps I wanted! On the other hand, they did offer to call me when those stamps came in.

They basically hold your packages with no reasoning. I have a package that has been there all week waiting to be accepted.

When I want to call to request a rerouting of my package, I don't want to sit on the phone with a robot for thirty minutes. I want to speak to a local employee who is AT THE STORE. It should take five minutes to call, not 30 minutes to an hour. Why is the number for THIS FACILITY not provided? Why do I have to call a national hotline??? I don't want to speak to Jeremy in a Texas call center. I want to speak to the guy at the CDA office.

This office is an absolute nightmare. Our mail lady never reads the full address, gives us other people Mail, delivers our mail to the wrong places, and then now she’s started a new thing where she sends our stuff that we have ordered and paid hundreds of dollars for back to the sender. They give you absolutely no help when you call, I’ve called multiple times about our current three missing packages and they never call you back. If I could refuse my Mail being shipped through USPS I would. They do not care about their customers and they could care less about your Mail and packages. Terrible business and should be shut down.

I have been shipping packages through this location for many years and I've dealt with the longer and longer lines and continuing decline in customer service but today was my last straw and I'm switching to ups for all my shipping needs. On Saturday's I can usually just load the self service box to send my packages as they are all the size that will fit, I had ONE box that wouldn't fit so I knocked on the door (it was 8:45am and they do Saturday mail from 10-11:45am), hoping someone would answer. A gentleman with reddish hair and a beard stated their hours and I said I have a box that won't fit in the bin, can I possibly hand it to you or leave it by the door to be grabbed and he opens the door puts his hand out I hand him the box, i thank him, he SLAMS the door and then I hear my package THROWN into the bin. If you don't like your job get a new one but don't take it out on people who literally pay for services that pay your salary this is unacceptable. They don't offer carts anymore for when you have large amounts of boxes to ship their pickup service isn't reliable and honestly it's just disgusting what this post office has become.

Weird to rate a post office location? No way! The staff here are consistently friendly, helpful and detailed. Actually... just excellent social skills. I have waited to rate the place. Six months of using it.... Above average. Thank you

Literally the only reason USPS is still a functioning entity is because the government oversees it. I cannot even express how incompetent their services are. It’s so simple to read an address and put the mail/packages into the corresponding mailbox. How on earth can you mark something as delivered and it’s nowhere to be found? The worst ever. I try to avoid them whenever I can because they are infamous for messing up on anything mail you can think of. I’m not sure what our mailman does exactly when he/she comes because nothing ever seems to be done properly for me. I know I’m not alone in these feelings towards this horrific situation of a government agency. If 0 stars was an option I’d opt for that. I one even likes to answer the phone here when they have more than enough time to do so before 5pm. I just wish there was a way around them because when I see “Delivered by USPS” I have an actual stroke.

Absolute garbage. I booked a passport appointment online, for my two kids, two weeks in advance. I pull the kids out of school and drive 45 minutes to this absolute pile of an establishment to only see a sign on the door that they don’t process passports here.Funny, I received a confirmation email from USPS saying I was all set for the appointment. Now here is a brilliant idea, although perhaps to complex for the federal government too comprehend or process —- *how about AFTER you email the appointment confirmation you follow-up later with an appointment CANCELATION* … so people know to go somewhere else?Pathetic.
