Stay here for the most idyllic bed and breakfast experience! My partner and I really enjoyed the comfortable accommodations, hot tub, and beautiful Christmas decor—our room even had its own Christmas tree! Our dog loved her complimentary care package and running around the spacious yard with the hosts’ friendly dogs. Breakfast was incredible and made to order. The host’s award-winning huckleberry jam and homemade cinnamon rolls were absolutely divine. This place is a true gem and we would happily stay here again!

There were quite a few people there when I went but I hardly saw anyone. The rooms were quite spacious and the decor was wonderful. I found the beds here to be quite comfortable. The owners were great, I got to speak with the husband on a number of occasions. He made breakfast for us and though I wasn’t a fan of how he folded the scrambled eggs the taste was ok. I quite enjoyed the apple pancakes. Being able to enjoy the hot tub and sauna was wonderful and I’d go back just for that. The number of different hot chocolate and other drinks they had out were impressive. I tried the hazelnut hot chocolate and enjoyed it so much I went back for another cup.

What a wonderful stay! The inn was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and we were warmly welcomed by one of the owners when we arrived. Our room was immaculately clean and very cozy. The next day our hosts prepared a delicious hot breakfast. What a great stay- we were thoroughly impressed! We hope to come back next time we're in Idaho.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Roosevelt Inn, and I must say it was a nightmarish ordeal from start to finish. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I knew I had made a grave mistake.Cleanliness: The moment I entered my room, I was horrified to find that bugs were everywhere. I'm not exaggerating; I mean everywhere. They crawled along the walls, scuttled across the floor, and even had a party in the bed. The level of filth was beyond belief. The carpets were so dirty that my feet stuck to them, and I had to wear shoes the entire time.Culinary Catastrophe: I decided to give the on-site restaurant a try, hoping for some solace from the horrors of my room. But no such luck. The food was absolutely awful. I ordered what was supposed to be a chicken dish, but I couldn't identify the meat. It tasted like rubber soaked in dishwater. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.Wild Dogs: As if the bugs and terrible food weren't enough, the most shocking part of my stay was the pack of wild dogs roaming the hotel premises, terrorizing guests. I couldn't step out of my room without being chased by these snarling canines. It was like something out of a horror movie.Gang of Biker Babies: If you thought it couldn't get any stranger, think again. The common area was overrun by a gang of biker babies. I kid you not; these toddlers were decked out in leather jackets, sporting tattoos, and riding miniature motorcycles. They made quite the ruckus, and it was impossible to relax in the shared spaces. In short, my stay at the Roosevelt Inn was nothing short of a nightmare. I couldn't wait to check out and leave this place behind. I strongly recommend avoiding this establishment at all costs. It's a combination of uncleanliness, terrible food, wild dogs, and biker babies that I hope to never encounter again in my life.

We stayed here two nights and had a lovely stay. Everything was very clean. Room and bathroom were a bit small. Hot tub was nice and clean. The garden was lovely. Staff was friendly. Very easy to walk to downtown and the lake front.Breakfast was just ok. We didn’t eat there the second morning and instead went elsewhere.Dogs were friendly and clean and groomed but it was annoying trying to keep them from following us out side. The old building is very neat and well kept.

We liked the friendly inn so much we stopped and stayed a second time. We have decided we will stay here each trip to see our son in the state of Washington. Perfect place to rest and relax. Cozy rooms with comfortable beds and pillows.

Just ok. Hotel is historic and grounds are pretty but rooms need help…stained carpet, old towels, old… Breakfast was sad with cinnamon rolls out of a can. Breakfasts are no more on day we left which might be a better option. Employees were very nice and helpful…. Enjoyed our visits while outside by the fire. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Outstanding service, comfy room, decorated very nicely, but small. No TV or phone, but who needs that? Relax in a vintage space. Bed was comfy. The building is very cool, grounds are amazing, continental breakfast was disappointing, carb heavy and limited. We spoke to the inn keepers about this, and they were genuinely understanding, taking our message to the owners. Walking distance to the downtown area where great things happen. We'd stay here again.

I often visit Coeur d’ Alene, as I grew up here. Usually, I stay at the resort but wanted something with a more unique personality. I am so glad I explored other options. This place is perfect. The location is centrally located and just right for walking downtown, along the beach, and through the park. The staff is so friendly and takes the time to get acquainted. The rooms are unique and have an old world vibe. They are very comfortable. The grounds are nice for relaxing or socializing and are dog friendly. At present, there is a small continental breakfast which is just right. Read up on the history of this building and then come for a few days. You won’t be disappointed.

This is my favorite place to stay in Downtown CDA. It's only a couple of short blocks away from the main strip. The building is gorgeous, President Roosevelt visited when it was a school. We like to stay in the Bell tower, it has a beautiful view of CDA. The prices are competitive. They have a 24h hot tub and sauna. We only stay in the winter but I hear they have a nice Summer set up too.

What a cool place! It got its name because teddy roosevelt stopped by on a moose hunt when it was a school. Beautiful antiques are the furnishings, and the grounds are awesome, from the fire pit to the water feature in the back. In addition, it is an easy walk to the beautiful lake and downtown. My only regret is we were driving cross country and didn’t have time to try the breakfast.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Roosevelt Inn for two nights for a little getaway. The inn is fantastic. Filled to the brim with character, thought put in at every corner (baked fresh cookies for us, hosted a murder mystery during our stay, complimentary breakfast, coffee and tea station open 24/7, hot tub open 24/7.)Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable.I forgot my phone charger and they immediately emailed me offering to ship it to my home.Fantastic spot, fantastic staff. I would recommend the Roosevelt inn to anyone staying in couer d’alene.

We arrived over an hour early for check-in and Sarah accommodated us regardless. It's a BNB more than a hotel and each room is unique in the converted schoolhouse. The grounds are exquisite, the room furnishings more or less match the school's period, the bathrooms are more modern and work well. The breakfast is quite good; much better than most breakfast buffets. All the people that work there are all friendly and charming. We never wanted for anything.Rooms: Unique rooms with great charm and an old world feeling.Safety: Very safe area and neighborhood. Locks on each door even though they aren't needed.Walkability: Incredibly walkable to many restaurants, the lake, Tubbs Hill, and multiple parks.Food & drinks: They sell beer and wine.Noteworthy details: Exceptional grounds are a hidden gem.
