My Miyah was a week from delivering her puppies and in some serious trouble.
Almost ivernight she took a drastic turn and suddenly seemed to be losing weight fast, had no energy, and couldn't get enough to drink but couldn't hold anything down. When she didn't even look twice at the bacon I set in front of her, I knew she was going downhill quickly.
I'd been trying to get several clinics to call me back since the night before, but I couldn't get a call from any I had called or messaged online.
The next day after the bacon thing, I started calling everyone and anyone. Sunset was actually the only one to answer my calls. The lady said they could get Miyah in because of a cancelation. We went straight there.
After her visit with the vet, she sent us to the animal ER and didn't charge us for the visit.
They didn't try to run a bunch of tests 1st or anything like that as they felt it would be faster if we went to the animal ER and she felt we needed the test information fast.
She was right.
They were more concerned about my dogs welfare than the dollar.
That meant more than something.

We absolutely love Sunset Animal Hospital! The entire staff always take such good care of our animals. Everyone is always friendly and costs are very up front. Highly recommend!

We were traveling through the state on a road trip and needed our dog's sutures to be removed (he had surgery two weeks ago) and no one would take us in except this wonderful clinic! They were so awesome - told us to swing by, without an appointment, and they'd remove the sutures, no problem. The doctor made sure his paw looked okay (no infection) and she sent us on our way after only a few minutes! I cannot say enough about how amazing and caring everyone in this office is! THANK YOU!!

We have taken our dogs to a few different vets as we’ve moved throughout the years, but this by far is the best. Not only do they remember us and our pups, but they are always there when we need them. You know those memes and videos where they have to trick the dogs into going to the vet? Yeah, it’s the opposite here. When we pull into the parking lot, our dogs lose all sense of manners and training so they can drag us into the lobby to see their friends (the staff). I know my dogs aren’t the quietest in their kennels, but the staff always says great things about them when we pick them up. Our 5 year old pup had to get a mass cell tumor removed last week, and even though he was, of course, in pain, you could tell they took great care of him while he was there. He has gotten razor burn in the past at other vets (like when he got neutered) but they had to shave a large section of hair with a surgical blade, and his skin is completely unbothered. Also, not that we’d ever let money get in the way of our furbabies’ needs, but the prices are some of the best I’ve seen. Nothing but love for this staff and facility.

Very impressed! They did a really good job with my dog and I’ll be going back for sure. They made her feel so comfortable and didn’t push her too fast. Thank you for not judging her right off the bat, and for giving her some time to warm up. Would give 6 stars if I could.

I have a large dog. I assume he ate something he should not have. He was sick for 4 or 5 days. When I took him in everybody there treated him like they had lived within their whole life. Very friendly. Very helpful! I'm so grateful for the fantastic care they took of my friend.

We have been going to Sunset for 25 years now. We consider the staff like family because they have always been the best care providers for our precious fur babies. Sunset Animal Hospital is the best in Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington.

Dropped of my bosses pup for a teeth cleaning and they were super nice and quick. They were fast doing the job and im sure he will continue to being puppers there.

Our cat Abby has been groomed here for over a year, she's a Himalayan, Persian mix and has very dense fur. They do a lion cut, Abby loves her grooming appointments ❤️
