My daughter is now 3 years old, and has been seeing Dr.Parker since she was born. Every visit has been great. Dr. Parker spends time with his patients.. asking questions, answering any questions my husband and I have - thoroughly and he makes sure we understand, and that we have all of the information we need. He is always kind, easy to talk to, and great in his approach to examining a not always cooperative child. He is patient, and spends the time needed to make sure my daughter is on the right track, and that we feel good about her exam/any tests or other appointments that may be needed.
My daughter did see one other doctor, when Dr. Parker took some time off for his family. I can't recall her name right now (sorry!), but she was just so sweet, and very good to my daughter. In fact, my daughter hugged her when she came in and sat down for the appointment. Just proves these are truly wonderful and caring people, that make sure their patients are doing well, and that the parents have any information, and the tools needed to help their children strive.
The nursing staff is also wonderful. They are all so nice, and take to time with my daughter to make her comfortable, and talk to her on her level. They are friendly, and good at what they do.
All of the staff members, from the front desk, to the healthcare workers, etc, have always been good to us. Even when we had to cancel an appointment on short notice. The woman I spoke with put my worry at ease, when having to reschedule only an hour before the appointment was scheduled. That alone was greatly appreciated.
Lakeside Pediatrics is truly an awesome place for pediatric healthcare, and I would recommend it to anyone with young kids. I feel fortunate to have chosen this place right after my daughter was born, and I thank everyone who has been a part of my daughter's healthcare. Seriously.. THANK YOU!!

Every single person at Lakeside Pediatrics has been amazing. Each and everyone of them has gone above and beyond for our two children. The front desk staff, the billing department, the nurses, the social worker, the MAs and the providers especially Dr. Shirts. The patience, amount of time they take with our children, the compassion, the support for all members of the family, knowledge and skill they display and express, the timeliness of their responses and getting appointments scheduled, their extremely minimal waiting room time, the environment of their waiting room and patient rooms, minimal wait time, if any, for providers in the patient rooms, all of it, is beyond exceptional. We are so very lucky to have them for our children’s healthcare. Our seven month old daughter recently passed away, and she was in Hospice her entire life. The entire staff worked so well and so quickly with our daughter’s Hospice team. Dr Shirts especially was so incredible with her and our family throughout her life and even after. He was always available when we needed him for her. When she was too fragile and sick to bring in be would do Tele health vista with us. He communicated frequently with us and her hospice team as well as his own staff asking about our daughter frequently to see how we were doing. He shared in our joys and sorrows. His expertise, knowledge and very apparent passion for what he does made him one of the most valuable if not the most valuable person on her medical team (which included LOTS of people, providers, organizations). We literally trusted him with our daughter’s life, and now our son’s. He spends a lot of time getting on each kid’s level and see how to interact with them best based off of their individual personalities. He includes them completely in his assessment and plan of care making them feel like they are in control and have a say. He follows their lead, and primarily focuses his attention and questions towards the children. He colors with them, shows them pictures, explains what he does before he does it, laughs with them, comforts and reassures them, encourages them and lifts them up, and you can truly see the love he has for his profession. He is definitely in the right place.
Thank you Lakeside Peds for all you have done for our family and all you continue to do. Your care, compassion and expertise make us as parents feel heard and make us feel comfortable and at ease. We know our worries are truly being heard and addressed, and you put our minds and hearts at ease. There aren’t enough thank yous in the world to express our gratitude to you all.

Dr. Shirts is a fantastic provider for our sweet girl. He not only cares about our sweet baby, but also about us as first time parents. He is kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend !

Lakeside Pediatrics has the best doctors and staff that cares for our children. My kids were patients of Dr.Prince and they also care for grandchildren as well! Now that’s an amazing practice to span 2 generations. Thank you all at Lakeside, you are the best in our community.

Best clinic ever for kids and babies! If I could go here myself and see Dr. Prince as an adult, I would! They are so patient, non-judgmental, they don't push things on you.. they are THE best. They work us in every time needed and all the doctors are kind and pretty spot on with the diagnosis. You leave with answers, reassurance, and CARE. So blessed to have come here! We will be bringing all future children here!!!

Dr. Hickok is incredibly down to earth, is a good listener, works hard to advocate for our daughter who has complicated cardiac care, and is so kind. We have been extremely impressed with his knowledge and care.

Everyone there was friendly, efficient, and professional! My two, nap refused, toddlers were being chaotic, but everyone handled it with such grace! Dr. Parker is a great, down to Earth, Pediatrician.

Absolutely love Lakeside Pediatrics! My kiddos see Dr. Prince and Dr. Shirts. They're always very kind and professional. It's easy to get a timely appointment (if not by the PCP then by another physician), and they genuinely care about their patients. My family prefers more natural remedies when it comes to treating ailments, and they've always supported our decision in this. They aren't quick to push prescription meds, and offer professional suggestions that are in the best interest of their patients. I can't recommend them enough.

They do not ignore my concerns, which is huge. Too many times I have felt blown off by other medical doctors. It's so refreshing having someone take us seriously when we have legitimate concerns. They have never turned us away when we call for last min issues. The entire team seems to work and flow so well together.

I was told that my son, at 12 years old, was no longer allowed to go their per the young manager, less than a year ago. We loved our Nurse Practicioner, she was great for Isaiah. But, a new older person at the front desk, woman, was very upset with me because I asked for a doctor's note for Isaiah. Post Falls Middle required same & because he was on a 504; which they didn't follow, I needed it. She claimed they never gave out same. But Christina, Nurse Practioner always gave same to me. Then I received a fraudulent letter in the mail written on an old typewriter, not electric, that claimed we could never come back in We were very upset, as Christina ws great with Isaiah's issues. The yg manager sided with the arrogant new employee at desk, got upset when I asked again for a note & then I received a message never to come back. LOL. I would never bring any of my grandkids or my foster kids, I took care of for years, to this place. NORTHWEST PEDIATRIC IS FANTASTIC WITH CHILDREN, THE DOCTORS R FANTASTIC, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS FANTASTIC. HURRAH FOR NORTHWEST PEDIATRIC. IT IS VERY SAD TO ME HOW LAKESIDE CERTAIN MGRS, ETC. LIED & DEMANDED WE LEAVE WHEN I, NOR MY SON, EVER GOT RUDE OR MEAN TO ANYONE. WE JUST ASKED FOR A NOTE FOR SCHOOL. SOME OF THE GIRLS BACK THEN, NEW EMPLOYEE WERE VERY ARROGANT & HAD ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL. SO GLAD I FOUND DOCTORS WHO CARE. I HAD TO PICK ONE STAR TO POST. CHRISTINA OLIVIA WS A GREAT NURSE PRACTICIONER. SHE GETS THE STAR ONLY.

I was really sad when Dr. Park left, but I have been very impressed with Dr. Shirts. Kind, patient, knowledgable, and so good with my rambunctious preschooler. Their nurses also are great about calling back about any issue, great or small.

I have been taking all my children here all their lives until last year. my oldest is 19. my youngest is 5. i pulled them from here. this used to be the place to go! i’m not sure what happened to this place! the care you get went downhill fast! by the doctors! My last straw here was i asked the nurse to explain the shot she was about to give my son, she said ) “uhhhh hold on) and came back with a paper about the shot. she had NO idea what she was even giving him. no thank you. that’s your job to know!!

I don't like leaving reviews like this, but it needs to be addressed. We had an appointment for my son and it involved some very uncomfortable moments. The initial doctor (Riley) was amazing at trying to reason and be with him throughout. We did attempt to have a male doctor come in to help alleviate any discomfort. (Laine Hughes) While he was in he laughed multiple times at my son's behavior. Not an actual laugh, but they were more so laughs and chuckles under his breath. He seemed like his time was being wasted and on something so ridiculous. That is what I perceived and can only imagine the embarrassment my son felt when he struggled to comply with their requests. Not only was this inappropriate as a doctor, but especially something as traumatic as this was for him. This is the second time this doctor has made our experience most unwelcoming. When we are at the office, the child and their needs are a priority. Yes, his attempts were to achieve that, but laughing at a child (multiple times) for his fear of this type of visit is just unacceptable.

Our family moved to Idaho from Washington. My son has a few different health factors, being on the spectrum is one of them. We have been through a number of doctors. Some of which I have been able to tolerate. I normally don’t write reviews.
I was recommended to lakeside, and specifically Dr. Lane by a friend who worked there.
He has been absolutely amazing. He has earned the trust of my son, whom is on the spectrum, and my trust(which can be a tuff barrier). He is very kind, gentle, not overly opinionated, and seems to truly have an interest in the concerns and needs of a family.
Dr. Lane or nurse practitioner, at this point has been the only doctor I have come to adore in my sons life. Not just tolerate, but I actually look forward to our checkups.
Thank you!!!
