Self checkout an item was missing the barcode. Asked for help. The lady said maybe you wanna go get one with a barcode. I said I don’t care if it has a barcode. She wouldn’t help me so I went to Lowe’s. Piss poor customer service. I’ve had other people look up stuff for me. She was just too lazy.

I needed large cardboard boxes for my son’s school project. Mike helped find some empty grill boxes that we could have for free and even grabbed a cart for us to use. Huge help and super nice guy.

Do yourself a favor and skip the headache of Home Depot for Carpet! From the get go they couldn’t get measurements right. They measured 3 times and they still didn’t get it right …. After they started installing, we were notified that they didn’t order enough carpet. They installed what they had and Home Depot ordered more and assured us that the carpet was going to be from the same dye lot. 2 weeks passed and the carpet finally arrived and had it scheduled for install. The installer came and laid the carpet out and immediately noticed he was shorted carpet to finish the job. He also noticed that the replacement carpet was off a bit in color and texture. Again, we called the Couer D Alene Home Depot about the carpet issue. The store manager didn’t believe me when I spoke to her. I asked for someone from the store to come out and look at the difference. The only thing Home Depot was worried about was who was at fault and how could it be wrong. They didn’t care that this house was being put up for sale and there was a time issue. The installer told them after the first screw up how much carpet was needed and also volunteered to train their measurement team. They obviously refused because they still didn’t send the correct amount of carpet needed. You can see in the pictures the difference in the carpet. We had to go ahead and have the carpet installed anyway because the house was being put up for sale. I told the Home Depot manager we were going to have to replace the carpet. I further asked for compensation of the $700 cost to replace the carpet for all the inconvenience this has caused. The manager told me she could only do $500 and would have to call corporate to do $700. The manager called me a few days later and told me they were only giving me 25% of what it cost to order the carpet for all of the inconvenience. What a joke! A huge company like Home Depot is only worried about who was at fault and could really care less about their customer. Need less to say I will not be shopping at Home Depot.

The staff, except for the little old ladies up front, really seem like they don’t want to be there. Crotchety and unwelcoming. The store itself is too crammed together and hard to navigate
