One of the workers, a middle aged woman had me and had my bf followed by another employee around the store on a Saturday a few weekends ago and rudely stared at my African American boyfriend. It felt targeted. We were in the store less than five minutes are were followed and stared at from the moment we walked into the store till the second we left. We did not feel welcome.CDA may have been a place for racism many years ago but this behavior will not be tolerated any longer and this is not how you treat your customers. It is harassment.

What a fabulously-curated store! They have a variety of great retail brands and the pricing surprisingly seems similar to what you'd find on each brand's website or in a Nordstrom department store. You'll find Oakley & Ray-Ban sunglasses, Olukai sandals, Lululemon women's' apparel, Capri Blue candles, and more! We initially went in for a bottle of water. They have a good selection of snacks and non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages at 'convenience' prices, as well as a small toiletry section (toothpaste, hairspray, Tylenol...). We were delighted to find Capri Blue volcano-scented candles (my fave!) and purchased a few to freshen the 'old' smell in our older guest room with old HVAC (the hotel really needs to update this known issue, but I'll save that for another review). Really enjoyed this shop and the friendly staff that work there!

Beautiful view, rooms are expensive for what you get. Valet guys are awesome. Customer service is great too, the batteries in our Roku went out and they brought us up new ones! No microwave in the rooms kinda the only thing that sucks!

PROS / CONS:10/5/2020 UPDATE: DOCKSIDE CHARGED ME 3x instead of 1x for My Dinner! Total was supposed to be $15, not $42!!!!!!!!!Note: Before we went to eat here at the resort's "fancy" Dockside restaurant, we visited the indoor jacuzzi and the customers next to us were SMOKING / VAPING!!!!!!! Possibly weed. I told the people NOT to smoke around us, and they gave us dirty looks. The girl in the group flat-out rolled her eyes. I then went to tell the pool manager and he was just simply going to tell them to stop, and I said, "NO, that will NOT suffice. I would like security to come and look into the matter." It is ILLEGAL TO SMOKE / VAPE INDOORS AROUND FAMILIES AND CHILDREN!!!!!!!!!!!!!He called Security, and it took them literally 20 minutes to arrive, and they only observed without saying a WORD and left!!!!!!! It is absolutely ILLEGAL to smoke weed in Idaho, and/or smoke PERIOD in an indoor establishment. If this group of individuals happens to be staying at the hotel, this could pose a HUGE risk / liability to the ENTIRE establishment, because they have already proven to be RECKLESS and could easily catch something on fire!!!!!!! Why would SECURITY not properly handle this situation??????Now, DOCKSIDE:Last week (1st Visit): I went and was seated, and no waitress came for 15 minutes. I had to actually get up and get a server. The tables right AROUND me were looking over wondering where the hell My Server was and why I hadn't been served -- no water, NOTHING. So I got up myself and said, "I need a server!" The female server was rude to me the entire time and judgmental. Last week (2nd Visit): I asked for NO dairy (Due to allergies) and the female server BLATANTLY LAUGHED SARCASTICALLY at the request in front of me -- WOW!!!!!!!Today (*LAST VISIT* EVER): Experience with server "Hannah" (Long blonde): I brought a friend / guest, and we were NOT given (offered) ANY silverware or napkins whatsoever. The waitress was ALL over the place. We asked her to put $15 on My Friend's card, and the remainder ($18) on My Card, and the waitress did the opposite, and put $15 on MY card and charged her $38!!!!!!!! Are you kidding?! (Our total meal was $33!) So she attempted to fix the issue AFTER charging us both incorrectly, and she charged us incorrectly AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were charged a 3rd time incorrectly!!!!!!!!!!!! The manger, Billie Jo, was HORRIBLE (I dealt with Her last week and Her ATTITUDE!!!!!!!!!) She (The manager, "Bobbi Jo") wasn't willing to remedy the issue at ALL, and actually blamed ME for what happened the previous week! I asked to speak with Her Manager (John), and he was NOT helpful at ALL. He was unsympathetic to Our Situation and also tried blaming me for what happened the week before, passing the buck. We asked John if he would be willing to write off our meal, and he REFUSED!!!!!!!!!!! What a JOKE!!!My partner of 7 1/2 years (A Healthcare professional in their 50's) stopped eating here the last time we ate here a year ago due to all of the meat being COLD!!!! Our crab meat and salmon was UNCOOKED / COLD!!!!!!! (Also, their $50 steaks are REALLY UNCOOKED (The guy RIGHT next to us got one and it was BLOOD RED) - The waitress, Hanah, said (this was disgusting by the way) QUOTE: "BLOOD DRIPS OUT OF THE MEAT" for their "Medium rare" steaks (She said this while we were eating!!!!!)The food is HORRIBLE QUALITY - Worse than a GAS STATION!!!!!!!I will NOT be eating here EVER again -- It's WAY overpriced, not to mention, and the food is absolute S**** "Beverly's" (Upstairs) is no better and 3x the cost!!!! Your best bet is to go outside the resort to and Sherman Ave and find a nice place to eat there!!!!!TOTAL / COMPLETE LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY AND TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT!!!!! UNCOOKED FOOD!!!!!!

We attempted to stay here on 9/20, arriving at 430pm after a 10 hour day of driving. Upon arriving, we waited in a 25 min line at reception only to be told it would be an hour plus more until our room was available by the manager on duty, Bailey. When I pointed out that our reservation (made 2 weeks previously) stated check in was at 4pm, I was told that only meant check in "started" at 4.Bailey went on to tell me I needed to be more understanding with COVID, that their house keeping staff had been under a lot of stress, and that 200 people checked out that day. I travel 250+ days a year and have NEVER been treated with such disrespect and rudeness by anyone in the travel/hospitality business. That the room I was paying $300+ a night for wasn't available when it should have been is one thing, but the condescension and blatant hostility of the front desk staff was shocking. This is a BUSINESS. If you can't get your rooms cleaned in time, hire more staff. Do not tell me that your incompetence is somehow MY problem. I immediately had Bailey cancel my reservation and we went down the street to the Springhill Suites where we got a room immediately (and at half the price and infinitely better service).

I have to agree with one of the most recent reviews of this resort as they are fairly on par with what I experienced and I'm an iPrefer Member. I also experienced various levels of room rate changes even before I arrived. I made my reservation in April 2020 and they charged my AmEx card for 50% of the stay. Several times before my Labor Day visit, I checked the prices and found they dropped. I was given the revised rate, but they still kept my 50% hold for 4 1/2 months at the previous higher rate prior to my arrival. When I got there, I pointed out to Bailey, the check-in representative, about certain iPrefer benefits in the various emails I received to determine if I was eligible for any of them. I informed him of the various rate changes I discovered before my Labor Day weekend arrival so I wanted to be sure I received all the benefits I deserved. He went back to a management person and then said that the email I referenced was not applicable to this resort, but all my regular iPrefer benefits would still be provided to me. I returned to the desk sometime later to inquire about the Premium internet I was supposed to receive. However, when I logged on, I received an email message that the charge would be $5.99 for this service. Bailey told me not to worry about it and that it would be credited on my bill. It was not and I had to go through this again at checkout to have the cost credited.I also was not aware this resort is non-smoking as the reservation details, the check-in process nor the room itself never indicated this as such. I do not smoke, but my guest does and she went out to the balcony to smoke. A security guard came to the balcony (from the room next door) and told us this was not allowed. We apologized and said we were not aware of this requirement. We received a $75 charge for this "indiscretion" at checkout and although I had no problem paying it, I stated this charge should be made clear upfront at check in or in the reservation confirmation or in the room/balcony itself. (This resort couldn't afford small signs in the room/balcony indicating such?) The check-out representative stated smoke gets into the ventilation system and is difficult to get out. Who knew the ventilation system extended to the balcony??When I returned home, I received an email requesting I rate them on social media and if my stay was "anything less than exceptional" to please call the resort and request the Manager on Duty. On Wednesday, I called the resort and they put me through to the Manager. I received his voice mail. I left a detailed message, including my name and phone number (TWICE) and stated I would like to discuss my stay before I wrote my review. It is now three days later and no return phone call.I am trying to give this resort a break during the COVID-19 scenario, but taking three days and still not responding is unacceptable. Given I stayed there last year and I'm an iPrefer member, I find this entire process unprofessional. You may ask why I am giving this resort an "average" rating after all of this. This place is a beautiful resort in a great small town. The service in the bar, "Whispers", and in the restaurant on site for breakfast was exceptional and the staff were all friendly and professional. I do not want to penalize them for management and reservation errors. However, I will think twice before I book a reservation at this iPrefer location. There are many more iPrefer locations that are worthy of my business.

An absolutely wonderful time, stayed in room 372 a lake view king room August 2nd. Amanda a Platinum/silver blonde haired agent at the front desk is a pure professional and wonderful personality dealt with me at check in and her great energy truly set the tone for my stay. I have stayed at the resort but in 2000 so the recent interior refresh was nice to see and very well done including a large fish tank. My room was spotlessly clean the sheets, pillows and mattress are of high quality for sure and a wonderful restful sleep was had. I actually woke up 35 minutes before my alarm and that NEVER happens so I really slept well. Room service included a $15 ham & cheese omelette including rye toast and ordered a single $3 huckleberry pancake. Absolutely huge and high quality omelette and pancake was as good as it gets. My only complaint is that room service wanted $7 for an orange juice, which is a ridiculous price considering the value the omelette and pancake. Bathroom well appointed with high quality towels and 5 star level soap/shampoo packs. Shower was good water pressure and no lack of hot water. Packing to leave was not fun as I wanted to stay. Such a great place it ruins you for most other hotels. Called 10 minutes before departure to Valet for my car and when I arrived at the entrance my car was waiting for me, Valet was full of friendly young men and professional. I've stayed at many Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, the Savoy in London and several 4-5 star hotels in Europe and the Coeur D'alene holds its own. It's not super fancy or the best but I think it's main strength is consistency of quality. The quality of almost impeccable cleanliness, the polite friendly staff are strong metrics of a Hotel's quality and aren't those two things really most people's main concerns for lodging? You're doing yourself a disservice not enjoying at least one night's stay here

This was our second time staying here. Although our last experience was horrible we decided to try it out again. Unfortunately, this visit wasn't much better. We asked for early check in and instead didn't get our room until after the 4pm check in time. Employees provided indifferent service. Food was average and overpriced. Masks were posted as required but half of the people weren't wearing one. On our first night one of the elevators was being serviced so we waited almost 30 minutes trying to get to the lobby from our floor.

it looked so good on paper! The only room available for our one- night stopover was a "non-view" king which suggests the room looks at the parking lot or alley.... no, the room looked at the indoor pool. So we were, essentially, denied even a glimpse of daylight. Then imagine the delighted shrieking of all the little children in the pool... reverberating in the room. You will be imagining a hotel room in a pool locker room, which is what this was. To add insult to injury the wifi only worked if you stood in one spot near the door. Upon politely pointing out the shortcomings, the front desk could only tell me they understood the room was frustrating, but they had nothing else, and gave me a pretty small discount. I'm sure there are nice rooms here. But a hotel that even considers this to be adequate (especially at the price) is not one I want to stay in. You shouldn't stay here either.

Their lobby and elevators were full of people withOUT their mask on. Every trip to our room we knew we stepped into the elevator full of covid in the air in the elevator. We never saw the hotel ask anyone to wear a mask. They don't make it safe to go there. The elevator is the unavoidable virus chamber.Their wifi didn't work 80% of the time. They don't put wifi repeaters across the hotel. Even when it connected, we couldn't watch YouTube or NetFlix. They have very little bandwidth. Any time you check your email is a 20 minute session of hard labor to get the internet to work.Elevator is close to back doors, so at least you can walk the long way around the hotel to avoid most of the lobby. The private beach and pool at the golf course was very nice.

Couldn't wait to get the hell out of this place. A total disregard for their customers and employees safety. No masks required. A half-assed temperature station checking people's temps that only managed to check me twice out of the dozen times I entered the building. It is nothing but an overpriced petri dish!
