While traveling, our beloved Labrador retriever needed to be put down. We found Alpine Animal Hospital online. When we called them from the road, clearly in distress, they told us to come right in. They provided such comfortable, compassionate help for us and our dear dog, we cannot thank them enough. I wish we lived close enough to use them always as our veterinary hospital.

In contrast to some of the other reviews, we were very pleased with both the service and the cost of Alpine's services. The vet was caring and gentle with our hunting dog and gave a clear explanation of the problem and possible solutions. We were not pushed toward any purchases and, in fact, they noted that we would not need some of the medications because of our location during tick and flea season. They gave us information on a possible leg brace but the decision to order it was ours; they were not involved. Though we had no local experience to compare prices, the prices were significantly below what we were expecting so we were thrilled. All in all, we were more than happy.

I agree with others. I love my pet and want to get him help just not for 4 times the cost of other vet clinics. How they do it is broderline scam. They say bring pet in. Then they have fill out paper ( normal) and you have to leave pet with them. I asked how much stiches on my dog. You to wait for the doctor examine him and they will call you before any work done. Its what they dont tell you. Im old on a fixed income and cant give give 25% of my income and still live. Beside I had a dog 2 years ago that needed stiches and they charged $85.00 Now I know about inflation. and expected it could be double $$$ but not 5 times. They wanted $486.00 for procedure. Well I told them I just can afford that and I would come get my pet. When I showed up the said I owed a doctors exam office call of $75.00 Which any one looking the dog can see he needs stiches. What that took doctor about 5 seconds. When I ask how as estimate for this procedure and put it there before you commit. They do that way they use the love you have for your pet to make profit. I warn anyone why go here when you can go to ant vet hospital get all the same thing including loving the animals as most people do for 3 times less. BTW I took my dog to another vet the stitched him up including putting out and drugs for him for a total of $169 vs their $486. I paid there $ 75 office visit and still saved $ 242 of what they wanted to charge me.What their doing isn't for the love of the animal. But to exploit these animal and your love for extreme profit. All I can say is buyer beware

Let the fleecing begin! Took my two terriers in for vaccinations. First item of business is "the big push" by the tech for additional services and products before the exam even begins. During the exam, tech noticed a sheared-off tooth on my female, and said tooth would need to be pulled. Then examined my male and said same tooth was fractured and would also have to be pulled. When Dr. Haymore came in, he "probed" the tooth on my male and said it was down to the pulp, so definitely would need extracting. While doing so, complained about how he was going to pay for his children's Christmas presents. Made an appointment for the female. Received repeated emails and phone calls to confirm appointment. That appointment cost me $970 with all the "added services", full mouth x-rays, cleaning, etc. Made an appointment for the male one week later. Upon picking him up, was told that tooth did NOT need extracting, but still charged me $637 for the "added services", which he DID NOT NEED as his teeth were clean already! These folks are in the business of getting wealthy from the exploitation of people's love and desire to provide care for their pets. No options to lower the cost are presented, in fact additional services are pushed to jack up the price. The products they sell include a 35% markup over anywhere on the internet, including free shipping. If you attempt to voice your concerns to the staff about anything, you get a blank stare, dispassionate nods and phony courtesy. The day after, one of the staff called and tried to pressure me to "talk to management". I told her that she could relay my comments to management herself, that I was done being fleeced. I cannot afford to pay exorbitant prices for what I can get from any other competent vet, especially when it involves mistruths to get me to spend more. Steer clear!

The people here are amazing and they all clearly have big hearts. My family has been taking our pets to Alpine for years and have never had a bad interaction or experience. I am a big crier when my cat is hurt or afraid, and I can always see sympathy on the staff's faces when I'm crying. It's comforting that they feel sympathy for a crying owner rather than looking annoyed. They have always been super gentle and caring with my cats, even when one of my cats was not being pleasant. I called them the other day after my cat got into a fight to get their opinion on how to care for him, they offered advice and the receptionist was so kind and patient with me while I was crying on the phone. The facility has always looked immaculately clean, and we order our cat's food through them and the food has been so good for my cats and their bladders! If I could give them a million star review I would! Highly recommend!

I had a horse that I thought was colicking today. I called and Seth said to bring him in. Seth was amazing, showed me how to give antibiotics and when to give them. He offered to keep my horse overnight since we live out of town and he would update me. I wasn't home two hours when he called to let me know my horse had pooped and his fever was down. Thanks Dr. Lundquist you've gained a new family.

I recommend the staff and any Veterinarian at this office. By far the best care this side of the Mississippi. I know our kiddos are always in the best hands and loved by the ladies who run the front desk.

One of the worst vet experiences I’ve ever had. I brought my dog in for an emergency surgery during their off hours. She had two back-to-back (days apart) failed spay surgeries from a previous vet where the sutures kept splitting open and her insides were poking out. Dr. Lundquist performed her third surgery and called me when she was done. He said he had used “stainless steel” suturing and reported that everything went fine. The cost was between $600-$700. The previous vet o...

These guys are amazing! I’m the worst helicopter pet mama, and the staff at Alpine always make me feel like I’m doing the best thing for my bebe and always answer my questions. Dr. haymore and his staff did great work with my kitten’s spay, and were so helpful and welcoming when she had a weird reaction to her meds. I’m so glad I chose this office and can’t wait to bring Prudence in for her annual visits.

There's so much I could say about this place. What I do know is they are very compassionate no matter what. The most recent time we walked in, they were very kind to us! They've taken very good care of us and our doggies, all considering the circumstances.

This happened a year ago but I feel I should post. I went on a cruise. My diabetic dog did not eat at first and his sitter contacted the on call vet at Alpine for advice. She was told to feed him Caro syrup. As a result he was hospitalized for several days. I came home to a 1200 dollar bill and a dog that was blind and so frail I had to put him down within the month. I will not be using their services again.

Took my pup to Alpine today and I was blown away at the customer service, attention to detail and the knowledgeable staff. Everyone from the receptionists, to the nurses, to the groomer who stopped by and to the vet, Lundquist, were incredible! very impressed and will definitely recommend them to family and friends. Thank you!

During a routine dental appointment they put the heating lamp to close to her body and it burned her from the inside out. I wanted my money back and they were pissed off. I decided to post on Facebook about it and the called immediately and returned my money but told me to never contact them again and my dog would no longer be seen. Dr. Hemminway!

We had a great experience with our first checkup at Alpine, seeing Dr. Long. They did so great making our Great Danes feel calm. The techs were so willing to help me wrangle our big guys!
