Very sad that a store i used to shop often and even curbside during pandemic would resort to..well what appears to be a scam. They have always had problems with checkout as systems lock up and slow but this new issue i ran into shocked me. I got a bag of cat food marked 23.99. Got to the slow locked up register and after waiting 15 min she asked my phone number. I told her i live far away and dont have or want to sign up. She said the total is 27.xx. i said the price is 23.99 with tax only 25.xx. she said but without signing up its 2.00 added!! I said you cant force or charge people for not signing up. She pointed to register and said unless your name and phone number is entered it adds 2.00!! She said to get the 2.00 discount then sign up. I said if its 2.00 discount to sign up then it should be 2.00 off the 23.99 but nope. Petco charges you an additional 2.00 added to your bill if not signed up. Sounds illegal and a scam and extortion to charge you 2.00 if you dont sign up. Forcing people to sign up.Ill just find somewhere else to shop

Best people to work with!! Very knowledgeable and friendly and caring!! They love and have pets of their own. So they know what they are talking about. Vital care and Premier are the best rewards program ever. I can't being to tell you how much money I have saved.

Not bad, but the store was not lit well..seemed very dark in there. They do charge for a bag for the products you buy.

Every time I check out with Shawn as the cashier my day improves a little bit. Excellent customer service from him, very friendly and bubbly. We need more people like him in the world

Problem with pricing at the store and employees don't care. However, biggest problem is the federal gov't requires all food sold in package to be labeled with ingredients, manufacturer, date codes etc. in case of a required recall. This store sells dog treats that look like oreos and have NO ingredient label. If there was ever a problem, it would be next to impossible to recall.

No one is able to sufficiently fix the problem from my order that I have tried to place to get my discount for Black Friday. Everyone at Petco that I've dealt with blames the problem on my bank. My bank has seen the attempts and have told me that there is no reason why my order cannot be placed. I have made 3 rpurchases online through other websites this weekend using the same card without any problems. There wasn't even any customer service avaliable over the weekend to help and today when I called there were no Supervisors. I work during the day into the night and calling during work hours is almost impossible. I've spent from 7:30pm MST until 9:30 trying to get the issue sorted out and I have to be up again by 5:30am to start all over again. I would have liked to have had the 2 different agents that were supposed to help me be able to fix the problem or get me to a supervisor, but they weren't able to do anything but blame my bank. The sale ends tonight and I needed to get my cat food at the discounted price... money is extremely tight right now and what I was purchasing was my cat's food not frivolous items.

I got a harness & a ball-thrower for my german shepard Goddess here.The staff is friendly and helpful, and the prices are not obscenely high.--Plus, my dog seemed to enjoy the visit, which says more than anything i could write anyways.

I go here once in a while. Sometimes, they will have things that Pet Smart does not have. Friendly staff, clean store, and pretty well organized. I've gone here many times and will keep going back. I would recommend Petco if you need something for your fur buddies!

I was on a quick trip for some small animal supplies. Unfortunately, while they were friendly, I had a poor experience with an employee. The cashier that checked my items out told me (speaking about the pet carrier that I was purchasing) "I hope you aren't putting one of those things in there (points to the rat pictured on the carrier insert), I'd flush it right away." As someone who loves rats, I was pretty shocked to say the least. I've heard it from the public and online, but the last place I expected to hear it was where I purchase pet supplies for my rats. It alarms me that this person made the statement, and I'm worried that if this person is handling the live animals that they may not be treated kindly due to the obvious disgust for them. The shopping was okay, other than that incident
