My step dad came back from trying to get into the gym from this place, and the workers up front accused him of being a sex offender because of the way he was dressed, All he wanted to do was to get some workout, I'm
Assuming they were racist. Do better

The caldwell YMCA is extremely restricting and gives off a vibe that doesn't allow people to really florish or enjoy themselves here. The swimming locker rooms are awkward and dingy, their roller is so old it doesn't wring out swimwear properly anymore. I was told by two other guests that came with me the ones in Washington will autoroll them for you and have a fan. The floors are pretty disgusting in there. We all felt gross walking through there, which hasn't been the case in other places for us. The showers dont even provide hooks to hang bags or items up on. The building doesn't give off a pleasing environment. It was over all an awkward, uncomfortable expirence. The colors they use there inside the building are also quiet dull and are not pleasing to the eyes which mentally doesn't trigger excitement or joy. The hallways are odd and there's always some weird guy just standing there in the hallway that isn't a worker. It's not just me but all 4 of us who have been there at separate times felt the place wasn't as enjoyable as it could be if the ymca just made some simple changes to provide a better community expirence and it felt awkward to be there. Other than email one dedicated only to providing feedback I had scrool through reviews to find one that allows me contact someone about canceling/holding my membership. The website, even for someone who grew up with technology, is hard to navigate. The lady who spoke with me on the phone about canceling/ holding my membership was extreamly kind. In total, it was fun as a kid, but the locker rooms always felt uncomfortable. They also chose my grandpa as a child to practice a drill on with him. He was pretending to have a heart issues and they just stood around not knowing what to do. As a child, even though I was told is was a drill, it freaked me out. They should really just do drills in a classroom setting or when the pool is closed on each other. As an adult, I'm displeased. Things could be way better if the ymca put in more effort. ? It has potential but its outdated as of now. I do enjoy the safety precautions they hold. Although under parent supervision, 17yr olds should be allowed to lift weights. That's ridiculous. It is very clear with the 3.6 rating the caldwell ymca is failing because when people see the 3..they don't want to go there. That's just the way things are. With the population boom, once the recession is over, management needs to focus on how they can make things 5 stars. I really wish them better.

Great establishment! Went to a class here, and it was good. Also, there was enough space for large groups. I will definitely come here again!

There are so many activities to enjoy here. We went with 3 adults and a child and we all had a blast. We hit the hot tub.and lazy river and the pool. I toured the place to see what I could do with my membership. The work out facilities are very professional. I love this place.

I'm pretty happy I signed up here. Yes, there are a lot of rules and they are enforced. As it should be. Pool is always clean and well kept up. Kids can go swimming, have some play spaces downstairs with games and other activities, rock wall, etc. Gym equipment is kept clean. Locker rooms could use a cleaning more often IMO but not bad. Staff is always friendly and helpful. If you can read and follow guidelines, it's a great place to workout, swim and give the kids some safe, supervised activities to keep them happy and engaged.

Far too often we are coming and the pool is closed. Working with special needs a distraction from schedule can create behaviors. Stop closing the pool in the middle if the day. Do your maintenance at night. We already travel 30 minutes just to be here. Fix the problem during normal business hours this shouldn't be a norm.

It is terrible that even here in Idaho wokeness has destroyed a once safe and fun gym. To be "inclusive" means the women's locker room is not just for women anymore. We are done! memberships canceled and will never return. Please if you value the safety of your wife, daughter or sister do not go to the YMCA. It is no longer the "Young Mens Christian Association" ..............An update. Now I see the ymca has an employee "christian" posting fake reviews 5 star reviews. You are not safe at this business!

They allow an adult male wearing a dress in the women’s locker room. Multiple complaints about the male in the women’s locker room and they just ignore the complaints. *Update* they have employees adding 5 star reviews. #boycottYMCA

I have been a member at the Y for years, thanks to my dad who signed us up when the building opened in 2006. In all of that time, I have experienced the Y to be the most welcoming and inclusive place on earth. I am proud to be a member here!

Signed my kids up for swim lessons. My husband and I went to take them. I left my id in my car and
we drove his. I wasn’t allowed in. We were members in the past, but they don’t keep our information on file. Nice that they and willing to take our money have everything on file from our past visits, but our id information. I am waiting in the car and my husband was going to send me a video or picture of my kids learning to swim and that is not allowed either. No pictures of your kids or videos.

I have been a member at this YMCA since 2022, I live down the road and remembered going to Y as a child so I got a membership to work out. Unfortunately they don't have discounts for active service or veterans of the military but they were more than willing to work with me using their Financial Aid system. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the amenities are plenty! I am a weight lifter so I spend most of my time upstairs and really enjoy the variety of equipment. Some times it gets busy but most people are friendly enough to let me work in or just let know how many sets are left.
There is a rock wall that is well staffed, when it's open, with plenty of lanes and difficulties.
I don't use the basketball courts but it almost always seems to be packed with MANY games going on and people of all ages.
The pool is loud, boisterous, and teaming with children so I tend to stay away, but the few times I have been there I enjoyed the pools/hot tub and the staff were helpful and attentive. I have never used it, but there is a steam room on the pool deck. There are also saunas in the upstairs locker rooms.
All needed info for a membership, day pass, or guest pass is available on their website, a little tough to find it but it's there, and I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking for a dedicated gym/pool or just a day pass to burn some energy off their kids.
