I have used Zamzows (Federal Way) for 20 years.Ordered bulk amendments to be delivered a week ago and had another challenging time.Little Trucking (who they contract deliveries to) delivered 2 yards too much to the wrong client (I am a local garden business owner) and I was told by April at the front checkout that it happens and to 'find a truck and haul it’ myself. This is after paying $85 to deliver and the delivery was within 3 miles of the store. I asked a friend with a truck for help because I couldn’t leave material in someone’s driveway - he took the afternoon off work and hauled 2 truckloads for me to the correct address.In prior conversations for bulk orders, working with April has been really difficult. She has said that she just wanted to be done with the conversations, that I was ‘breaking her brain’, and she was very short with me. I could tell when going in that she had talked with other employees making me into a ‘difficult customer’ - they wouldn’t make eye contact with me. But I I never got angry, impatient, or rude. I feel guilty and wrong even though I am not sure what I did that was worth the treatment I got. I advocate for my client’s requests I can’t imagine going into Zamzows again - April is always at the front checkout. This has been horrible and I have always recommended Zamzows but I just can’t anymore.No response from corporate, so I am leaving a review :((picture is the excess material that we had to haul to correct address)

Zamzows has been consistently the best place to go for yard and home project questions and the best products for living in Idaho. Whether it be subdivision living or farm style, even for various house pets, this is your one stop shop for quality service and quality products. Love that they have locations all over as well for convenience.

This place is SO cute- pets + plants! I loved their selection of individual dog chews, treats + toys- all were very affordable. Great customer service too! I loved bringing my puppy in here.

We have been shopping here for years. Our rescue dog kept having tummy issues while eating their lamb and veggie dog food. We decided to switch to a different formula shortly after buying a big bag. Hubby mentioned it to an employee and even with part of the food gone, they switched it out for a new bag! With the price of everything on the rise, we appreciate this very much and so does our pooch

Horrible lawn weed control products. Bought the concentrate to control weeds and my lawn has never looked worse. Total waste of money and defective product for weed control. Do not buy. This product is junk.

Sheila had excellent customer service. I was greeted the moment I walked in the door and assisted out to my car without having to be asked. she answered all of my questions and provided me with quick and efficient service. I can tell she loves her job and I was blessed by her today.

Love this Zamzows! The crickets' tanks are always kept pretty clean. If you purchase crickets, you know how dirty those buggers are. I've had good luck with my crickets not dying super quick like they have when I get them from other stores that don't take as great care of them. Sometimes I get lost and end up in the plant section and accidentally buy a plant. The plants always look lively and well cared for. I hate when they all beg me to take them home though.

i got a cocktail from Zamzow in Nampa Idaho and the bird had several issues wrong with him too name a few here they are1. Missing head feathers we where told that wo grow in since he is only two mounts old however this isn't the case in fact he will always be like that which is irritating that we where lied to2. over grown under beak and toe nails ugh and we just got him four days ago he keeps rubbing his beak on everything so I will have to take him to the vet3. we where told by Zamzows not to trim the birds feathers but yet his feathers where trimmed when we got him which makes him get hurt every time he try's to fly.Never trust zamzow when getting an animal always research first don't let them lie to you.

I have always know Zamzows to be a great place to go to get advice on lawn care, gardening, fish, reptiles, cats, dogs and other pets. This store is so helpful in guiding people to the correct do-it-yourself supplies to avoid hiring a lawn care service or going to a vet every time you have simple questions about your pet's care and well-being.They have lawn fertilizer and seed, which is better quality than what you find at grocery stores.They different varieties of real metal sprinklers, which last much longer. You cannot find metal ones at typical one-stop, low cost grocery stores. I even saw a timer that you can connect to your sprinkler and hose to time your lawn or garden watering, the timer shuts the water off when it is finished.I also saw different varieties of bulk bird seed and a birding journal for kids (to record the types of birds they find).They have plenty of reptiles at this location, including a horned caterpillar that reminded me of the caterpillar Absolem from Disney's Alice & Wonderland (except it was green instead of blue and it looked like it had a bunch of eyes all down its sides).So, if you want to become an expert in lawn care, gardening, bird sight-seeing (birding) or caring for your pets, then this is the place for you!

Will sell a 12 year old live animals without a parent. If it was feeder fish I would understand. But pet rats and to recommend to get two and to give the child a male and female rat is highly unprofessional. Do not recommend this store.

I love Zamzows selection of house plants but I think I have finally ended my time buying from you. I have bought many plants from you in the past. Some have survived but a lot haven’t. I hadn’t caught on until later that I started having a mealy bug issue once I started brining Zamzows plants home. I know I should always check but sometimes it doesn’t cross my mind in the excitement of a new beautiful plant. A week ago I bought two new Pothos from the Federal Way location for my work office. The next day at work, I started to find huge mealy bugs all over the stems. I decided not return then because I wanted to try and treat them with washing the plant and neam oil treatments. The larger Pothos I have been able to treat pretty well but the smaller one hasn’t gotten any better. All the stems started to turn brown and die off. It almost looks like root rot and I haven’t even had it long enough to water it yet Today I had to throw it away because it was just dead due to the bugs. Again, I love the selection but there needs to be something done about the bugs.
