I don't understand how this place stays open, they never have what I need.Yesterday I went in looking for a 5/32" pin punch, which of course they didn't have. As I was leaving, one of the employees accused me of shoplifting. I told him what I was looking for; he couldn't find it either, and just glared at me when I told him to have a nice day.I usually try to support local businesses, but probably won't be coming back here.

I recently went to capital lumber on state st. in Boise Id.I ordered 4 pieces of siding ...When I picked them up I helped the worker put them on top of my vehicle... they were unbalanced so the worker bounced the 4 of them up on the rack... I saw that the 2 bottom ones had a break that I didn't realize that it was worse than I thought so I took a couple of pics. and called them ... they said bring em back and we'll get it taken care of... I took them back and dropped them off so they could order 2 more... they called me the next day and said they aren't going to replace them cuz they dont think they damaged them and think I damaged them with a plastic bungee hook ... i only used the bungees to hold the 2 pieces together to hold them from bouncing around to much cuz they're 16' long ... the pieces were damaged before I left the business...the worker knows what he Did and knows that he damaged them ... it's not the money ... it's the principal of it...I will be picketing Capital Lumber on this manner ... they're not gonna rip me off ... shame on them .

These guys hire truck drivers that drive like absolute idiots around Boise! I would never do business with this company! The type of people they hire shows the type of company they are. Train your drivers so that you’re not sued after they kill somebody!

Amazing store at the right location for my office downtown. The cost of a radiant heater I just purchased was a little less than HD or Lowes. Plus they had the oil radiant heater in stock! Give this shop a try on your way home if you need any tools or supplies for evening projects.

Getting sparse for a hardware store. I believe they are concentrating on wholesale lumber and building materials vs walk in trade which is fine.

Stopped in yesterday in need of something to better secure a large load in my pickup. While they didn't have the exact product I'd hoped to find, they had something that would work. I truly appreciate the help the clerk offered me. He certainly didn't have to, but he went above and beyond to make sure I could safely get home. I'll be back!
